Its hard to hide when you serve good coffee. One thing the mom and pop coffee shop have never combined is the quaint and comfortable atmosphere with an over the top coffee experience. Bean fosters however has done just this. Nestled away on a hilly side of Golden, bean fosters unpretentiously sits among some other retail shops. They have books, comfortable seating, and a spacious arrangement that gives a scenic view into a valley that disappears into the front range. Theres one thing that will surprise any customer though - these baristas are good. Real good. Whether its a conversation about washed vs. unwashed beans, or pulling a shot too quickly to see if the common palate can detect under immersion, these folks are talented and sure to riddle you with more information than you knew possible. Great work my Golden friends. Its a home away from home.

Been here a few times now. Very non generic place with a diverse coffee menu offering many different bean choices for drip coffee including custom pour overs for individual cups or French presses. Additionally you have a choice of at least 2 different espresso beans for your americano, latte, cappucino, etc. If it sounds intimidating, the friendly staff make informed bean recommendations without the usual attached sense of superiority. Used book shelves lining one side of the store combined with the free WiFi & comfy chairs & couches make it a great place for hanging out. Food menu includes oatmeal, pastry & breakfast & lunch burritos. Happens to be close to my PTs office at Next Level Sports Performance (had to slip in a little plug for them because theyre the best).

The walls are filled with used books that are displayed with thought and care. Rather than searching through musty piles of books that many used bookstores have, Bean Fosters feels like browsing a new bookstore. The cafe side of the business hasnt really impressed me often tasting like the bland frozen food the gas stations near by sell. The one exception is the drinking chocolate, a 3oz glass of rich dark chocolate and steamed milk. Its a great stop if waiting for someone at the courthouse or medical centers as there is food and books to browse through, otherwise its not worth a frequent stop.

This coffee shop is wonderful! I walked over after a Dr.s appt. and am so glad I did. It will be my after Dr. treat once a month when I have to go to Golden. Best mocha Ive had in 12 years since I left Alaska. I had to sweeten it to my taste, but the coffee is also good unsweetened. The guy took the time to make a pretty leaf design on top:) I also had the chicken pesto panini and it was very yummy and flavorful. So was the yellow lemony poundcake. Very moist with a crunchy buttery top.

Bean Fosters consistently has the best coffee in town -- and that includes a regular cuppa joe or frou frou drinks like mocha. The ambiance is great, Ive gotten a few books there a perused a few others while hanging out, and the owner and staff are really nice. Even though Sunday would be the easiest day for me to frequent the place I dig that they are closed, the lines got to be drawn somewhere!

The Coffee is Excellent, the Staff is Excellent and the atmosphere is relaxing and uplifting at the same time... Balanced.. Plenty of seating, lots of great used books to buy. But lets not forget that the main attraction is the coffee... and oh by the way... there is homemade goodies. Some Gluten Free... some not.. I had a homemade Salted Caramel treat. So glad I stopped in!

My mom & I had a great time at Bean Fosters! It was our first time in, and being from the Pacific Northwest we are both pretty picky about our coffee. Our coffees were made perfectly! Great selection of coffees, teas, flavors, pastries & breakfast/lunch options. Cant wait to get back in and try their Pour Over! Its my favorite!

Every time I go to Bean Fosters, the staff is welcoming and very accommodating as a I choose a drink. When I decide what I would like to have, the drink is crafted with all of the care that a craft coffee drink should be. This is the best coffee that I have ever tasted and highly recommend this to anyone who is nearby!

They serve Novo Coffee & Espresso and add homemade touches with their own creative recipes. Everything is exceptional, from the drinks to the sandwiches and baked goods made on premise, to the burritos. The owner takes extreme pride in his quality and it shows. Great book selection also.

Amazingly flavored coffee in a calming and peaceful environment surrounded by sound-swallowing books that make this spot a magnet. Never overcrowded, though often busy. They make delicious sandwiches and sell burritos and a few other little items to eat as well.

Cool vibe, great coffee, and good things to eat. I recently had a cold brew ice coffee, which was delicious. This coffee shop is also a used book store with an interesting collection of books, which adds to the experience.

They have a great atmosphere and good wifi. But they got rid of their punch cards for the drinks and that is super disappointing.. thats one of the main reasons I go back to the same coffee shops over and over.

Bean Fosters serves locally roasted Novo coffee. That being said, the coffee is very good, but if you are a fan of dark roasts, this may not be the place for you. Service is always friendly and knowledgeable.
