Good Chinese food in Alamosa downtown Can you get decent Chinese food in a relatively small town like Alamosa? The answer is YES. We are Chinese so I was really expecting Americanized Chinese food and nothing more. I was presently surprised. The portions are generous. The tofu clay pot was very good. This dish is usually found in authentic Chinese restaurants. I was skeptical how good it would be but decided to try it. It was almost as good as what youd find in NY Chinatown. This is a family run restaurant and its been around for more than 10 years. The staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonable. A nice surprise.

WORST EVER! Have never eaten here, but tired of eating fast food at my dinner breaks from work every night. I called in an order to go...Sweet&Sour Combo, Wings, and Egg Rolls. Was told it would be ready for pick-up in ten minutes. Waited in lobby for 20 mins., only to be told it would still be longer. At 42 minutes, I finally cancelled my order, and did what I should have done in the first place...head to KFC again. At least I never sit in the drive-in window for 42 minutes. TERRIBLE!

We ate here while on vacation. There were 9 people and we called ahead to warn them. When we got there the table was all set up and there were no issues. The food was great! We had the hot & sour soup, egg rolls, and five dinners. The Mu-Shi Pork was delicious, as were all the dishes. Alamosa is such a small town we were worried that the chinese food would be low par, but this was the best any of us had had in a long time. And our bill came out to less than $10 a person!

They cant get the order right multiple times in a row. The girl that answers the phone is incredibly air headed and doesnt listen to much. I believe the same to be true about the kitchen because even if the girl up front reads it back correctly, it is NEVER right. I mean if you were to order one egg roll or a cup of soup they might be able to handle that, but truly this place is mediocre at best compared the their competitor in town.

If you have food allergies/limitations, this is the place to go!! These folks are amazing at accommodating dietary needs and go the whole nine yards to make you happy and safe. If you become a regular, they will even remember all the accommodations to your favorite dish and are happy to make other suggestions. LOVE May Wa!

Food is always good! The staff is great and polite. If my food isnt right they fix it right away and very fast! Location is just a little lard because of the lack of parking spaces and usually their parking lot is filled with other cars that arent even eating there. Other than that its wonderful!!

This place is easily the best asain resturant in the San Luis Valley. Great food and usually good service, every once in a while they are overwhelled and thats when service sometimes goes south. There food is really good I would recommened it anytime you have a craving for Asain food.

I have been coming to May-Wa since they first opened and its still my go to restaurant. The staff are always friendly, the service is fast and the quality of the food is always consistent. I enjoy coming here and will come many more times in the future.

Really good prices, pretty good food. Not the best. If you are used to eating chinese food from the east coast or west coast, this place will suck to you. But its better than many of the other options around. Large menu, pretty good.

Love the food here and the staff is very attentive most of the time. This place tends to get swamped with customers at certain times of the day so its best to avoid the main lunch rush. It is also one of the cheapest places to eat out.

Its not gourmet. Its small town Chinese food with a friendly atmosphere. My favorite spot with the family where we can enjoy a good meal, catch up on weekly gossip, and not have the pocketbook emptied.
