I grabbed my husband during the middle of chopping firewood for a quick lunch at a new place. We were treated poorly from the start since he was in jeans and a t-shirt. The place was loud and very cold, with one set of people even requesting a new table over the cold temperature. In the middle of our meal, I found a short dark hair in my steamed rice. When the waiter came by, I pointed it out to him and said I would just share my husbands rice. All I wanted was an apology or offer of fresh rice, sadly I received neither. My husband did not leave a tip due to their inabillity to even muster up an apology. I understand these things happen, but a simple acknowledgement of a valid complaint would have turned it all around. I will NEVER go here again & will give all my business to MoMos on Santa Fe, where I have never encountered such service. Judging a book by the cover was a mistake & following it with poor service was the nail in the coffin. They should be embarassed & ashamed by their lack of professionalism. NEVER AGAIN!!! This is my first negative review I have ever given and it is well deserved. SORRY YOURE NOT SORRY!!! 0 stars

The sushi here is not authentic in the least , this "Japanese "restaurant among most others in Pueblo are owned and operated by KOREANS , not JAPANESE people . Also , youll notice the sushi chefs arent Asian at all , rather dumpy looking staff. If you want "authenticity" the only Japanese owned and operated Japanese cuisine in Pueblo is Suehiro hibachi , most people in Pueblo do not understand Japanese cuisine and so you just might find each of these restaurants fantastic because you dont know any better , but again , they arent Japanese. Maybe they should try Korean BBQ ; although they do have bi bim bap thats as much as youll find as far as Korean food on their menu, even though theyre Korean owned , go figure? Also service needs improvement , maybe fewer smoke breaks ?

It was one of the better sushi restaurants in pueblo, but it decided to jack up its prices because "theyre in the process of not serving frozen fish" which means 1) it was frozen before hand and 2) the prices they are asking are now on par with sushi den in denver where the fly their fish in from tokyo. the food isnt that spectacular and the prices are now outrageous. They offer a decent selection with generous portions, but knowing it was frozen kind of ruins it. Additionally their alcohol selection is overpriced. The last time we were there the chef decided to close the kitchen early so we werent able to order dessert. Even then, the mochi is overpriced for being pre-frozen and no work included.... well minus some whip cream on top.

Sushi was so so, I took my family (wife and 3 boys) for a birthday dinner because that is our sons favorite food and decided to try a different place this time, boy was I disappointed. Overpriced for what we got, (spent a BILL without any alcohol), got there before the 7 PM rush at 5:15 to be exact, service was okay but soooooo very long waits and confusion on the ordering, the desert took longer than 30 minutes to get and then after we waited that long the server said you can just leave if you dont want to wait any longer, I will not be recommending this place, Calamari was well over deep fried, I dont mind paying one bit for excellent food and service but I will be sticking to the Sushi Garden from now on.

Only 3 tables at lunch time. We were a table of two. We ordered sushi and it took 35 minutes to arrive at our table. We mentioned to the waitress how our order was taking such a long time. She adopted a passive aggressive attitude and said bluntly " that is the way it is". She asked "do you want to talk to my manager?" We said yes. We finished our meal and we asked: And your manager? She said he is not here but you can call later. In all this we did not hear any apology nor slight empathy. SERVICE IS RUDE. THE SERVER LIED TO US ABOUT TALKING TO HER MANAGER. There are plenty of great sushi restaurants in Pueblo. Even just AVERAGE sushi with good service a much better flavor!

This place has the best quality sushi in Pueblo. Hands down. Last summer, I went to Japan and the biggest difference I tasted between Tsunami and Japanese Sushi, wasnt the quality of the fish, but it was the rice. Granted, most of the rice in sushi Ive had since then hasnt compared, but I can confidently say, Tsunami is your best bet. If you want a filling, succulent roll, go with the King Roll. Thank me later. For an appetizer, get the soy garlic edamame. You wont be disappointed.

This place is hands down the best sushi in town. I go in whenever I can. The staff is exceptional and Kayla kills it. She definitely knows her stuff. I dont eat much from the kitchen, but the sushi chefs have me eating with my eyes as much as my stomach. Awesome presentation, be sure to tip them. Update: Went in for lunch, everything was great again, but the rice was pretty dry on the outside of my roll, no biggie. I didnt say anything, maybe well stick to dinner.

They have a variety of fresh fish. If youre feeling adventurous try some of the great local rolls they make! (Ask the chefs about specialty rolls that arent on the menu.) They also offer vegetarian rolls, traditional rolls, and sashimi. If youre not into sushi they have hot noodle bowls and many other Japanese dishes. Dont forget to try the mochi ice cream... my favorite flavor is the red azuki bean.

Took my husband for his birthday. Only 1 server/hostess. Took 20 minutes before he got our order. Kids got their food and had finished eating 15 minutes prior to our meals. Disgusting smell by the kitchen. Bathroom was dirty and pubic hair all over the toilets. Paid 9 dollars for 3 sodas. Kids meals dont come with a drink. we will never go back there. Everything was terrible.

The food is excellent . Probably the best in town by far.. And the atmosphere is just ridiculously amazingly Beautiful . A few things were not correct not due to the wait staff the cooks :). Excellent cooks just a few minor things . Other than that I will be back a lot more . A will suggest this restaurant to anyone that asks for a good sushi place to eat and feel classy ;).

Meh. . . Nothing super special bento box is pretty good. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it wasnt very busy during the time my boyfriend and I went and it took like 35 minutes for our food to come out and my boyfriends teriyaki chicken tasted like freezer burn or something weird. I dont know how to explain it, but you can tell it wasnt fresh chicken.

Excellent food and good service. I had the wok-seared veggies and hubby had the Mongolian beef. He said the sauce was a little sweet for his taste but still good. We also tried the fried gyoza and the California roll. Both delicious. The room is a little noisy; close quarters with other booths & tables, but the food is worth it.
