The place lives up to the HYPE! Located off a side road that makes you wonder if there anything at the end of the golden brick road, but yes there is. The cafe is small and not too many employees there make you wonder how fast and if they were busy how quick would they get to you. Well don’t let that fool you one bit. The staff is quite friendly and very fast in getting you drinks, your food and your refills! Both my partner and I got a omelette and don’t let the pictures fool you. As much as they make your mouth water, the taste and flavor matches what you see. For being 3 egg omelette they sure come out looking like it was half the carton. The plates come out filled to the top, colorful and taste great! On the plus side even on this terrible summer if you come early enough you can still enjoy the view of planes taking off without you melting! I will definitely be back again and this time for lunch!

My three friends and I were in to eat lunch yesterday Wednesday, 3-29. The lady with the sugar-skull tattoo was so friendly and sweet. I wish I could have told her how good she did. Thank you!!!! The food and service was great and the story was good and we will be back.

The Runway has gone through some upgrades, and is the best non-mexican restaurant in Woodlake (props to Pizza Factory, though). The restaurant is clean and friendly, but plan for a good hour to get in and out. Menu is diverse, breakfasts are awesome.

Excellent omelette and hash brown. I come back Friday for the fish and chips on 2-3-17 but I dont feel welcome and the waitress make me wait when there were more than five empty tables at the Runaway Cafe. I will take my business in elsewhere.

If your in the area do yourself a favor and drive here. Local place, food is awesome with huge portions and super friendly staff. Drove from 3 rivers for breakfast, best in area whole time I was in redwoods.

An aviators diner. Lots of local aviation history to be learned here. The staff is friendly and this is a very cozy place to get a good meal and hear a story.
