I have been going to this Coffee Bean for 10 years and have always been really impressed with the staff - until today. I had the misfortune to be served by an Emily Barista, who is an incredibly rude person. I hope she realizes before long that she is in the wrong job. The basic requirement for anyone working in the service industry is to be polite, which Ms Barista is definitely not.

So obviously The Coffee Bean has a consistently high quality product but the guy at the counter scoffed at my 80 cent tip on just a cup of the brewed Indian Malabar coffee. Maybe I just misinterpreted something but it just seems like a Hollywood kind of attitude, I just dont think thats something I should wonder about once I leave the counter.

The Coffee Bean cant brew drip coffee consistently. Oddly enough the coffee itself is good, but it seems to be brewed by people who dont drink it. So, in the afternoon they wont notice when they switch to half coffee but forget to also switch to the half water setting. Its usually ok in the AM for that reason.

I would give this place 5 stars for the nice patio and view of Sunset Blvd. Staff is nice, but the parking lot is full Uber drivers and Limos which makes it hard for patrons to find parking. The staff told us they complained to corporate but that nobody does anything about it.
