Home Town Buffet, once a buffet restaurant that my family and I had frequented throughout me and my brothers livelihood, now has gone to... why am i paying so much for this buffet? It might be different at other locations, but this location is by far horrible. When the foods are empty, it takes nearly 20 minutes before they are reloaded. I feel that in this day and age, they should really expand the buffet choices. They need more food options and they need to upgrade their buffet. The food is very minimal and it;s definitely not worth the money to eat here. I had come here for a friends birthday since we have had tons of memories eating here with fulfilled appetites. The price caught us off-guard and it was more than I had expected to pay for any buffet. Other buffets were $5 dollars cheaper and better. The feel of HomeTown Buffet was as its always been, homely. It felt like it has always been, the environment. But the food stations were not impressive at all. Maybe after a long hiatus of Hometown, I have been dining at different buffets and now coming back; this is not impressive as I thought it would be. If hometown buffet is sticking around, I really do think they need to revamp their menu and interior design. This place is just for the dumps. I feel sad now coming here. I am not that one joyous kid that is waiting in the long line for the smell of that wondrous buffet.

Went to Hometown on a Monday and it was terrible! They didnt have the main course meal (baby back ribs) and substituted it with country ribs. Ok, thats fine BUT then: The ice cream machine and chocolate milk was out of order as well as 2 flavors of slurpee. They didnt have pot roast at all (menu is subject to change). Pizza was burnt, didnt bring new one out til (yuck) the burnt ones were taken. Pot pies came out once had to repeatedly ask them to serve more. The cinnabuns and corn bread were hard as a rock even though it was just put out (Im assuming they were leftovers). Now I believe that is enough to say but that is just from my observation. Im sure if I knit picked I could find many more things wrong. Im sorry, I am a Hometown fan but I must say I was highly disappointed. So far I have had 4 disappointing experiences from Hometown in a row but Mondays experience prompted me to write this. I love Hometown but cmon, above all else at least have the main course available. I mean that should have priority above all else!!!! I understand the menu is subject to change but this has happened more than once! Put together the other items that is unavailable and it becomes unacceptable. This has been my experience at the Fallbrook Hometown Buffet

I visit HTB between 4-10 times per month, breakfast, lunch and dinner, and for the most part I enjoy my visits there. The last few time I have had dinner there, I was horrified to be eating my dinner when suddenly the crew was starts to clean up for closing, sweeping up the carpet, kicking up everything that was in the carpet, dirt, spores, food, that dirty carpet mold scent. Well, I began to squeeze for the remainder of dinner, nose was running and I could not continue to eat my dinner, just thinking of what was landing on my plate of food. I really think dont think carpet should be used in a dining area, it is just not SANITARY. Sorry to say that I have been avoiding eating dinner there ever since my squeezing experience. I hope that HTB takes a serious look at this problem, maybe remove the carpet and install tile, and dont start cleaning around the folks who are paying to dine there.

Its not that I hate it, its the fact that the restroom here always seems to be filthy and in a very unsanitary condition at this location. I have mentioned this to the staff but it seems no effort is made to improve it. I only imagine the restaurant crew stepping on the unsanitary urine covered floor and then taking that into the kitchen to make the food. If they tie their loose shoe laces (or if you do) later after using the restrooms guess whet happens when they touch things. All that filth is on their hands and taken inro different areas of the restaurant. If the manager reads this comment please care a bit more about your place and do something about the unsanitary condition of your restroom to provide a sanitary place for your customers. Honestly i think the health depth should take a look at this place.

This review is based on a single visit. While I like to give places more than once chance, this location is not anywhere close to where I live. Ive had plenty of experience with the HomeTown Buffet in the Santa Clarita Valley, when we still had a location, so I did know what to expect. Usually there will be a couple of items that will make the visit worthwhile. The trick is to find them initially and just sticking with those. However, this was no the case here. Every single thing I tried tasted bad. I havent gone to HTB in a long time, but this is probably the worst visit Ive had between four different locations over the last 10 years or so.

Yoooooo.... This place is wack man. Wet dishes and utensils, mediocre deserts, a SUPER small variety of food, and the greasiest most fattening chicken ever. As of today only the chocolate ice cream machine works and thats it. The upsides? Our server David was really nice and did his job well. The chicken pot pie ( which you have to fight for to get cause only 9 come out at a time), David, and the slurping made me give this a 2 instead of a 1. Not coming here again, would fther go to LA buffet or hakaido.

Just awfull. Two managers and bunch kitchen service walking around. Salad bar wilted with blackened mushrooms. Was affraid to touch anything there. Roast was good but you had to begg to be served and then when served you would get a tiny slice and have to begg for more. The person serving it gave me so many dirty looks when I was asking for more. Dont like being humiliated for my own money. This place used to be nice, now there is no further downhill from here.

The resturaunt serves with dirty dishes and the mac and cheese tasted like cheese but realy bad, the only good food is mashed potatoes and even though that taste bad, the steak tastes like dog food and lastly the rest of the food also tasted like crap . I would rather have went to chilleys this valentines day not this failure of a place.

Best Hometown Buffet Ive been too, it had great food, and the best customer service, responsive. Atmosphere is great although more lively music would be appreciated. Prices are reasonable food is fresh, cooks look happy to work there. Also, I want to mention, that this is my first time going and, will definitely go again.
