Theres a lack of great coffee in OC, even the nice cafes in Laguna Beach arent great at espresso coffee. If you want to try the best in the whole area, try Kean Coffee - they use an amazing light roast (still a good kick but not at all acidic) and all the baristas are well trained in how to properly foam and pour milk (the lattes and macchiatos look amazing). You can just tell there is a serious passion for making the best coffee at Kean. There are two locations (Newport and Tustin), both about 30 minutes from where I live, but I often make the drive because theres nothing as good! Kean is up there with the best, possible THE best espresso drinks Ive ever had. Only place up in LA that comes close is Urth Caffe. The baked stuff is from Pacific Whey. The cookies are pretty good, especially the choc walnut ones. The blended drinks arent quite as good as the espresso drinks, but the hot chocolate is great, and you should try the Mayan spice hot chocolate if you like sweet drinks.

The restaurant was very clean and well decorated with a natural atmosphere. I loved some of the furniture pieces they had. The coffee was reasonably priced, however my order of simple iced coffee was forgotten. It wasnt very busy but when one or two people who ordered behind me had gotten their orders, I decided to ask about mine. The barista said iced coffee was received at the other end of the counter (no one had mentioned that.) As it turns out, the cashier is supposed to make the iced coffee and it had totally slipped her mind to do so. I asked her about the coffee and she was nice about it and made it while apologizing. So they were nice but 15 minutes is a little long to wait for coffee. Maybe they need to focus on training or maybe the cashier was just having an off day. As for the taste, I wasnt disappointed.

Amazing!! Fresh roasted coffee everyday. I have been to plenty of local coffee shops, and their roasts dont seem to do it for me? Either too bitter or too bold! Depending on how they make it ofcourse, but the roast is everything! Kean coffee nails it! Roaster really knows how to bring the complexities and subtleties of a bean, put that together with well trained baristas, perfect cup all the time! No Wi-Fi, unfortunately. Not many outlets for charging purposes. Peaceful patio during the day, beautiful lights that hang at night. Super laid back inside though, with their comfortable lounge couches and all. The ambiance really makes you feel like youre in your very own living room!

If youre looking for a solid coffee shop, Kean Coffee is a great place to go. They have great drinks and even better service. The tables always seem to be full when I visit but there is usually a table that frees up by the time my drink is ready. If youre lucky, youll get the comfy chairs by the front. No wi-fi though so you will need to tether or use a hot spot in order to connect. Ive tried the Turkish latte and the iced Morrocan Mint green tea (unsweetened). Both great drinks that I would happily order again. There is plenty of parking at this location. Its in the same shopping center as Gen Korean BBQ.

Your quintessential neighborhood coffee shop with a little sophisticated twist. I love this place. Their drinks are perfect and it puts lousy Starbucks to shame. I also love the layout but Im sad that theres no outlets so itd be hard to stay all day and keep your laptop charged. The coffee is strong, tastes great and nothing is made via shortcuts. The baristas are all eclectic and they LOVE their job and love coffee. Im a huge fan of the big, comfy chairs as theyre sooo relaxing. Ive had the iced coffee, hot coffee and chai tea latte and they all taste amazingly fresh with great flavor. Such a fan :)

“I wanna go where everybody knows my name.” This paraphrase of the theme song from the TV sitcom Cheers summarizes my customer experience at Kean’s Coffee in Tustin where I’ve been coming since they opened. They do know my name and I’m frequently the beneficiary of extraordinary customer service. Sometimes my favorite drink is waiting for me at the register when I get to the front of the line, or a small sample of something they think I’ll like is set out for me in the pass-through window. And always, I’m greeted with a “good morning” and a smile. It’s likely to keep me coming back for a long time.

This was started by the old owner of Diedrichs Coffee and he wanted to create a high end coffee shop. Mission accomplished. Theres an ice cream dollop in an espresso dessert that is the greatest dish Ive ever had from a coffee shop. Not on the menu. I read a complaint about how there is no power outlet. That was intentional. It wasnt because they dont want people hanging out but rather they wanted it to be more social. Its a great place to talk with locals too.

Ive been a fan since I had the high-quality coffee they roast and brew there. My favorite drink is the Napoli but I also buy the beans for brewing at home. Everythings always well-crafted and delicious. They bring in bakery items such as bagels, chocolate croissants, and other pastries from unique vendors so I always try something new. And best of all, the staff is friendly, welcoming, efficient, and knowledgable. Best place to get coffee in Orange County.

One of my favorite local cafes. Favorite drink is the honey vanilla latte. Definitely check it out! Its usually pretty packed in there, but you can always manage to find a table either inside or outside. Parking is really annoying. They have a few 15 min parking spots right in front, but theyre usually taken. You may have to drive around the lot to find something if youd rather take your time and schmooze with your coffee

Wanted to like it; gave them multiple chances. And I like the roast they make for Blackmarket bakery in Costa Mesa. But this shop is slow and inefficient - over 20 minutes in the morning to get my coffee ordered and made, and the staff seemed unconcerned with quick service. And, after being disappointed by the Guatamala and the Ethiopian, the coffee is unfortunately just underwhelming. Wont be returning.

This small coffee shop is great for those who are in a hurry, and dont feel the need to "impress" others by having a Starbucks coffee. They sell a variety of things - coffee, donuts, sandwiches, and ice coffees. They also have a drive-thru, but that can line up pretty quickly. The inside is very modest, but what would we expect from a coffee shop that doesnt overprice like Starbucks. Great place.

I dont drink much coffee, so my review is mostly based on non-coffee drinks. But this is one of the few places that makes sipping chocolate and they do a good job with it. The teas are good as well and the baked goods here are delicious. The place is well decorated, the staff is friendly and the wait for drinks isnt too bad. But its always crowded and the parking can be a nightmare.

me and my friends tried Kéan Coffee for the first time and all of us loved it! Although I agree that there should be more protein to their servings, I still think Kéan Coffee could be another healthy option for postworkout as well. I tried the Kéan Coffee (all flavors!) -- my fave was the chocolate ganache! i see myself going here more often :) Thanks for the great service btw!
