I was invited out to lunch by an old friend yesterday and instead of going to our normal meeting spot at the Harbor House Cafe, he suggested that we try the Pelican Isle. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical when I located the place because it was located in a building that reminded me of the dreaded strip malls in Irvine. I went through the front door and entered this really dark hallway and I thought that I had entered a bar vs an eatery and after about 15 steps or so, the place really opened up. I found my friend at the bar and we moved to the outside seats out by the marina. It was awesome out there! You can wait it big long lines at the Harbor House or you can come here where it is way more low key and get a seat that over looks the water. Bingo!! I had the Turkey, Swiss and Avocado Sandwich and they describe it like this: Tender grilled turkey breast, Swiss cheese, avocado and tomato on sourdough or parmesan bread. It came with a side of pasta which was a nice option. I enjoyed the sandwich, the side of pasta and the view thoroughly. I was able to talk business and not have to many people milling around me in the process. Also the waitress could see that we were pretty engaged in our conversation so she didnt come pester us every 5 minutes which was nice.

My first experience was great! I was on business trip and ended up going along. I decided to take a risk and get the ribeye, but I was surprised at how great it was. I admit the seasoning could have been a bit better but when I told that to the waitress I was told I could have suggested a seasoning and then felt like a fool not because of the waitress but in myself and found humor out of it. The ribeye, over all it was great tasting, juicy and hit the spot if your one to love a ribeye like me. I give 5 starts because fast service and great taste. If I lived around here, I feel like this would be a great place for fun, food and a date. Relaxed fell so you could communicate with friends and enjoy great food beside the water. Worst service Ive ever received!!! The servers on aug. 1st were ignoring all my friends and i all night, the beers kept coming with 2 inches of head (ripp off), the lobster tank with robotic arm game has got to be inhumane (lobster zone), and the food took more than 30 minutes and the place was empty!!! There was a band playing and it could be a nice place but the bad service was unbearable. Never coming back and i advise you dont waste your time or money here!!!!

This restaurant, when it opened, actually had standards in service and food quality. They have obviously lowered their standards drastically. I have given them multiple opportunities as I am nostalgic for the food I used to get there, but everything is poorly cooked and served up by a surly teen or one poor waiter who always looks embarrassed to serve me the sub-par food coming out of the kitchen.

It may be a bit of a dive bar at night, but their breakfast on the patio is awesome - a view of the boats in the harbor, a gentle breeze, and stacked plates of all your breakfast favorites. I come here every couple of weeks, and literally have done so for years - the weekend staff are all very friendly, its like Cheers for brunch...

If you want a LOT of food for $7 get the "Eggs With..." breakfast combo. I got two eggs, two pancakes, an English muffin all for the price of two Starbucks mochas. SIT OUTSIDE so you can admire the views of the harbor. Even if you sit inside, theres still SO MUCH DECOR to look at, either nautical or sports themed. Dog-friendly.

The atmosphere there was fun. It seemed a lot for family like than I thought when i read about it. The food was a disappointment for sure. I trued the shrimp cocktail and wasnt impressed at all. I did like their crab stuffed mushrooms though. And the staff is very nice. (older crowd)

Typically we go for kayaking in in the harbor right up PCH from Pelican Isle then stop in for the best damn burgers with the best damn view of Huntington Harbor. Weve also pulled in to the guest slip (for boats)after a day of fishing. Friendly staff and and healthy portions.

This is a sister restaurant to Shoreline Cafe and has the same menu - with a wide variety of dishes from breakfast to Steak dinner and everything in between, including a surprisingly good pizza and a full bar. Try the bloody mary.

The customer service was awesome. Our waitress Lacey was very friendly, fast, and you can tell she has been doing this a long time! Food was pretty good also! We will deff be back and we will ask to sit in Laceys section!!

I enjoyed the visit. Great fish tacos (more Americana than Mexican imho) pleasant waitress, service and general atmosphere. Parking for all the Duffys, make sure you dock on the correct side of the gate.

A place for small eat and dine, highchairs tables porch seats are all good to place yourself observing the harbor side. Had small talk with locals. Good place to go after walking on Sunset Beach.

The bar tenderess is great she interacts wit everyone and makes u feel comfortable. Great place to hang out and have a "drinks" the view is great. Come and try it out one of these days.

Food is fantastic!. Did not appreciate the dog inside the restaurant climbing on the table. They should only allow dogs in their outside seating area. Would of given them a 5 star.

Great Margaritas and patio looking out to the marina. This place is perfect to enjoy the sunset or a Sunday brunch. Tuesday tacos are fun and cheap during their selected time.
