All the good reviews of the place written by others made me try it..and I wished I hadnt.. Really.. The hostess seated us promptly.. but that was the only time she paid attention to us.. We saw the pricey menu but were ready to pay for quality..Our cocktail came early but the Sprite in it mentioned in the menu was missing..and the soda was out of fizz.. Then our soup came around 45 mins afterthat.. Can u believe it?? Then came the Chefs Special Chilli Chicken and my God if that was special I wonder what the other dishes would taste like!! It was so terrible that me and my husband agreed that it would be better cooking up something the next day than carrying it in a to go box...Rosemary Nan was also poor and really almost like chewing gum... WORST part was that the table cloth on our table was having a big stain like someone had used it to wipe their hands... The ambience was good but later on that too was all spoilt by another customer who was throwing tantrums after getting drunk... Save your money, taste buds and your precious time... DONT EVEN TRY THIS

Ive been to this place twice. The first time was a month ago and I tried the main menu for dinner. I had beriani (the one with Jackfruit) and I liked it a lot. The serving dishes are cool and the food has a nice presentation. One thing which I really liked about this place was that the staff had a clear idea about how spicy (specifically, hot) the food will be and the advice was helpful (I am not used to hot food). Tonight, I tried this place for the second time with bunch of friends. We went with the buffet option and everyone in our group agreed that this is actually a good deal. There were more than 10 dishes of food along with side dishes and I liked all the vegetarian ones that tI tried. They had a version of Mango Lassi and Gulab Jamun. The only downside was that there was too much sound around the buffet area (were the seats are) and it was not very pleasant to have a conversation at the table. This being said, I think if you would go later, around 9pm, it is not that crowded.

My wife is from north India and she swears by this place. She can be quite picky when it comes to finding a good Indian restaurant (shes a great cook herself) and when she found out about this place at first she was a bit hesitant but we both fell in love. The head chef and owner, Arvind, is one of the most creative and humble chefs and people we have ever met. The variety can stay the same for awhile but they have an abundant amount of choices of dishes and they are all delicious. The staff their is always smiling and offering assistance. The price for the buffet (lunch or dinner) is very reasonable. I have never seen roaches as someone have stated so maybe if there were some back then they have cleaned up the problem and are making sure they are abiding by food regulations and sanitary laws a little more closely.

Do not come here on a weekend if you want to sit down and order food like at every other restaurant ever. Unlike most Indian restaurants, Turmeric runs a buffet during dinner as well as lunch. Their web site claims that you can also order off the menu during dinner hours -- this is technically true, but clearly not expected or encouraged. When we went there they apparently assumed wed have the buffet and never bothered to actually ask what wed prefer or bring us a menu. After waiting about 15 minutes we went and located some menus near the register, and then waited for an employee to come by and asked them to take our order. It worked and we will probably get our food soon, but the entire process was such a hassle that I would recommend avoiding this place on the weekend unless all you want is the buffet.

As with all restaurants its down to the chef, time off day but once a chef leaves you dont know what you are going to get. My visit was on Thanksgiving Eve around 6pm. The food was outstanding the service wonderful. The restaurant on Thanksgiving Eve wasnt crowded and the people civilized enough to not irritate by yaking at the top of their lungs. (Thats one of the things I dislike in any restaurant) a tap on the shoulder or a slap upside the head whatever works for you. I would have to say that evening the food was excellent. My companion that evening was a 5 star French Chef and a very good friend of mine. We were both very impressed. It will be a place where I would take and recommend to all my friends.

This is my absolute favorite Indian restaurant. We always go for the dinner buffet on the weekends (although weve been there on week nights and for the lunch buffet during the week too). Every dish Ive had there is delicious - my boyfriends favorite is their chicken makhani, and I love the huge vegetarian selection. And great value, of course, its a buffet! Even during the week nights when its not a buffet, the portion sizes are large and the sampler plates are very nice, and I love the flavor of their pani puri (which they had on the buffet once, but I havent seen the last few times - theyve had other types of chaat instead).

Well, the first look of the restaurant was good, however there is more space in the behind which is just a room with few hangings on the wall. I would say the ambience is not great, just average. The hygiene i.e, the cleanliness of plates and bowls was not appealing, they could have used better utensils. The food, had extra oil in starters. The main course, the naan was not hot rather it was soggy. The curries had more salt, out of many curries, only 1 was good (spinach and corn). The dessert was just okay, nothing more.

We ordered food for our sons birthday party. The owner was very courteous and helped us out with the menu. When they actually delivered the food, he also added a dessert and lentils on the house!!! But the best part is that the guests enjoyed the food so much that they made it a point to tell me that it was the best Indian food they had tasted in a while. That is a huge compliment given the fact most of the guests were Indian and they should know this food better than anyone else :)

Eh. We love Indian food but this place left us disappointed. Naan was decent but the few dishes we ordered tasted off. The lamb vindaloo was most appalling as the lamb was terribly chewy and tough. Restaurant is kinda sad inside and desperately needs some updating. Wine cabinets are fortified with heavy chain locks right in the dining room - perhaps to discourage curious diners from sampling the wine list? On the plus side, our young waiter was lovely. Very prompt and friendly!

This was our first visit to Turmeric on 31st Jan16, the buffet spread is excellent .. Yes the quality of food is good & value for money. The only sad part is the service, after waiting for 10 mins we had to get up & asked for the Ala cart Menu, the restaurant server and hostess were not bothered towards the guest service. No smile on the their face, it felt like as they were not interested. I would suggest the owner that you should groom your service staff and you will do well.
