I absolutely LOVE this bakery!!! We went to Sonoma for a romantic get-away (from S.F.), and I had not been there in about 13 years. All that time, I had been pining for Scandias Princess Cake. OMG, it was the BEST! I remember introducing it to a friend back then, who said, "That was so good, I had to close my eyes." Yup, it was so good, it almost sounded dirty. Well, after 13 yrs., I am ecstatic to report that it is as wonderfully delicious as ever. The Bolivian woman baker who runs the place is also the nicest bakery lady EVER. I was rushing to get there before closing--running in 5-inch platform shoes, in fact--but was actually a few minutes late. Still, she saw us and warmly opened her doors, saying, "If were here, well let you in." Then, after getting my Princess Cake, we told her we had two little girls, and she asked if she could give us some beautiful pink butterfly cookies for them. "You cant say no to a Bolivian lady," she said. Maam, I would NEVER say "no" to you!!!!

We chose Scandia Bakery to provide the cake for our wedding and we were very pleased with the result. It was beautiful, which my wife appreciated, and very tasty, which I appreciated. Since our wedding we have moved to Sonoma and enjoy Scandia as often as we can. I am excited to try their Kringle this holiday season; I usually get Kringle sent from Wisconsin, but its nice to find a local bakery that makes it.

Every time either my family or I travel into Sonoma (from Napa) we always stop by Scandia. They have amazing desserts that taste even better than they look! We had them create our wedding cake, and it was even more beautiful (and very tasty!) than we could have imagined. They even loaned us their beautiful silver cake stand at no charge. I cannot say enough great things about this bakery! =)

I have only been once so judging by the other reviews it probably warrants another try but the cake I ordered was voted awful by 6 of us who attemted to eat it. The environment and other "standard" baked goods looked nice.

They make the best princess cakes ever. Also, my 9 year old wanted a Pokémon cake this year and they did a great Poke ball cake for him. He loved it! It was done right on time and perfectly to my specs.
