Two of the food I like are risotto and souffle; in my opinion getting these right are very difficult. Usually the risotto are either too buttery or overcooked where it appears more like rice pudding. With Sante, I am impressed; their risotto was cooked to perfection with the right amount of cream and taste magnificent! The Souffle was perfect too; it wasnt overly sweet and was very light and fluffy. Their steak and other courses were spot on; in fact I couldnt find a course I didnt like. We had 2 different bottles of wine that cost us $250.00; they were good but being a non-wine drinker I couldnt tell what made it worth $125.00 a bottle. Staff was very attentive and were treated like kings. One word of advice is the outdoor dining was pretty romantic, but you will have uninvited guest that will fly in and land on your food. :) We will most definitely be back!

I feel this place is overrated. There was nothing bad about it but fur the price i was expecting exceptional food and its only ok. Service is amazing almost to the point where you want them to stop stopping by so often. The food is just ok and super expensive. Had scallop appetizer that was somewhat rubbery. They also brought some cucumber concoction courtesy of the chef that was tasted like what i would imagine raw ants with cucumber flavoring with a little shot of something between pisco sour and egg whites. Nobody at the table liked it. I had 3 cuts of beef that were really 3 bites of beef and only one was exceptional. The vino was amazing though.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Santes and it was excellent. Mark, the sommelier, was there to personally serve each of the wine flights with an explanation of how the particular wine was made and a history of the producing vineyard. The dishes were creative and it was truly an an adventure for smelling, tasting, and pairing wines with contemporary gastronomy and classic foods. We savored each pairing of the Chefs tasting menu and were there from 6:10 until 11pm. We didnt realize they stopped taking new tables at 9pm because every staff member there was dedicated to making sure our experience was a memorable one.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Sante on the Patio overlooking the pool. The Fairmont Sonoma was hosting a wedding party and many of the other guests were running in the Sonoma marathon on Sunday, so we had the patio all to ourselves. We decided on the tasting menu. It was wonderful and the service was great. Start to finish, it was wonderful. The hotel, restaurant and bar construction were completed when we visited, so we didnt have any disruption. Only con: corkage fee $25.00.

Extravagant customer service! Every second they were ready to serve us. Food was different but still enjoyed the fancy life. The outside setting was great for my girlfiends birthday! If you have a good amount of cash and want to explore with your taste buds, this is the way to go!

Bruno Tison, the executive Chef is one of the best chefs in the world. His detailed attention to obtaining the finest ingredients locally makes the entire dinner event special. We are lucky to have someone with his reputation here in Sonoma.

We had the chefs tasting menu, with wine tasting. It was the most wonderful meal if a little on the pricey side. Id recommend it if you are looking to indulge, though there are of course cheaper things on the menu.

Two words...Foie Gras. We thoroughly enjoyed dining here, exquisite experience with great staff- sat outside under the stars next to a giant lit up water tower by the pool, very romantic.
