This place was absolutely amazing, one of the biggest culinary highlights along the entire PCH! My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch there and each ordered one of a big plates (he had the jerk chicken, I had the goat curry), and both were fabulous. Super-fresh and with big, deep flavors, meat that was tender and cooked to perfection, plantains that made my heart sing, portion sizes that did NOT leave us hungry, bonus points for being organic (and still at totally reasonable prices)... I could go on and on! The service we got was outstanding, too -- quick, friendly and accurate. The owners clearly love what they do and theyre great at it, plus theyre fun to talk to and take time for their guests. (Oh, they set up an extra umbrella outside just for us so that we could sit in the shade while we enjoyed our food -- while a DJ played reggae to entertain the crowd of smiling guests. Can you say atmosphere?) Since it was my boyfriends birthday, we had to go for dessert as well: mango cheesecake and the three-layer coconut brownie. TO DIE FOR DIVINE! Im a fairly big dessert snob and these were truly two of the best things Ive ever tasted. Go and enjoy The Jerk House! I promise you wont be sorry.

I had lunch at the Jerk House with a friend today. We sat outside which was great particularly when the sun disappeared behind the clouds and we had shade. The food was delicious, I had goat curry, my friend had chicken curry. We were lucky enough to get a taste of the oxtail stew as well. The meats were beautifully done, falling off the bone, tender and tasteful. There was rice, a vegetable salad and plantains. Jamaican hot sauce was there to add a bite to the variety of flavors. Owner Tim B told us that everything is organic, fresh, the meats are local from the Soquel Meat market. It is unusual to get goat and oxtail on any local menu. I would say the food is authentically Jamaican and you should go enjoy it !

We were looking for a great burger, and thought wed give The Jerk Burger a shot based on its menu description. Our wait was extremely long considering there were only 6 people (including us) in the place. The burger was marketed as a "1/2 lb. Black Angus burger", however, when it finally came it was about half that size. The taste/flavor was good, but when you pay $12.50 for a "1/2 lb. Black Angus burger", you expect a little more for your money. If you not in a hurry (i.e. on island time), and want to overpay for a burger, then this is the place for you.

Recommended by a friend, this place did not disappoint! Exclamation point means I am serious. Subtle but complex flavor palette in the rooty veggie curry. Amazing and inspired side salad had jicama, mango, and strawberry. They should have sent a poet to describe these sensations in my mouth. My wife was too busy devouring her blackened snapper (a little spicier than expected) to offer comment. But she moaned a little while eating, so thats a good sign. I suggest you eat here. Oh and its dog friendly on the patio!!

I love this place. Entrees are a truly a full, varied meal. (Amazing sweet plantains, rice+beans, delicious cabbage side, and of great meat). My group got 5 plates, and everything was awesome. I really like the feel of the restaurant; somewhat intimate and high end but not "fancy". It was a casual experience in that no waiter was rushing us out the door, I felt we could have stayed all evening.

Wow, what a cool place. Laid back Rasta vibe made me feel like I was somewhere in the Caribbean. Friendly staff, really good Caribbean plates, and last but not least...cold brews bras, check them out! Oh and the plantains with each plate (the reason I stopped in) perfect!

Top notch food, everything, literally everything is completely 100% organic. Inside and outside seating and pet friendly outside. They even provide water bowls for pets while dining. One of a kind type of restaurant anywhere in the area. Food you wont find anywhere else.

A gem. Ate dinner here while I was in the area on a business trip. Service was friendly, atmosphere was laid back. Nice selection of local brews. I had the ox tail stew which was AMAZING! This is going to be a regular stop whenever I"m in the area.

The food is authentic Jamaican, and tasty. Theres a large outdoor seating area to be enjoyed on a nice day. The owners are very local folks. The servers and chefs are nice. If its busy, service slows down quite a bit, but the food is good.

Great food! Creative and fun atmosphere! A bit hard to find because it is small, and sandwiched between a few other restaurants, but well worth the effort. Love love love it! :-)

The food was absolutely awful. Not authentic at all. My rice had hard clumps in it. The food was not seasoned well. Would not recommend if looking for an authentic experience.

Their food is amazing. The jerk chicken and the ribs (meat falls off the bone!) with the fried plantains. Delicious! The beer was great too. The black lager was my fav.

Food, and service was exceptional. Really enjoyed the plantains. Portions were good. Wanted more, but sometimes its best to not over indulge in something good

Good jamaican food and ambient. The service is great. And Sundays they have reggae music outside until 5 P.M.... Awesome!!! If you love reggae ;)
