Cozy neighborhood gem! The place you go when you want to relax, feel welcomed and enjoy great food. The owners, Greg and Kim never forget a face and you feel like family by your second visit. No rushing, no menus at 1st...they encourage you to relax and take your time. Not sure I have ever actually read the menu as we always default to the Specials. I end up with either the Bouillabaisse (to die for) Sea Bass or Halibut Piccata. Seafood Salad is a great way to start things off. Seafood is always amazing here, incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. My husband loves the pasta dishes and always orders a meatball (on the side) as they are the best in town. Save room for the mini cannolis, best I have ever had. A nice bonus is Rombauer Chardonnay by the bottle at a great price! Comfort at its best!

We went there tonight based on the reviews, expecting some decent authentic mexican food in a good atmosphere, rather than the typical hole in the wall restaurants that serve up some excellent food but are not really family restaurants. Seems the server does not have a concept of fresh food, he insisted that the steamed vegetables were "grilled vegetables". For the price charged, the portions were way minimal and most of the food was stale, including the rice and the quesadillas. I feel very tempted to give this place only a 1 just for the atmosphere, but am adding an extra point just for the hot plates and decent chips.

Solid Mexican American food. Ive drove past this place many times and said "hey I should try that" and when a friend wanted to do a quick dinner I had this idea on hand. I was welcomed in by two friendly staffers at the host station, sat fairly quickly. The server, Carlos, was on top of our needs without being over bearing. I personally loved the very big serving of the small super nachos with carnitas. I ordered a glass of horchata with a shot of spiced rum and loved it all. Fresh crisp and not oily tortilla chips with mild salsa served soon as you get to the table. Nice colorful decor.

How dare this place pretend to be an authentic mexican restaurant. The servers are rude. My 13 dollar "Carne Asada" burrito was closer to gristley ground beef than steak. They dont have orchata or jaritos. Its more of a sleazy american diner than a mexican resturant. Worst mexican food I have ever had in California! Its the type of dive I would expect to find if ordering mexican food in Montana or Nebraska, but Do yourself a favor and go to taco truck the food will be much better for half the price

I have never had a bad meal here. The food has always been great. The service is pretty good too. They have a nice family environment here, but its also good for hanging out with your friends. I have been a customer for years, and the only complaint that I have ever had is that the bathroom is not always that great. Its not horrible, but it could be kept up better. Still worth going back!

Ive had good experiences here, and Ive had mediocre experiences here. The service is a mixed bag. There are good service people and mediocre ones. The food is generally good, but I had shrimp fajitas and it came out with shrimp, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, and zucchini. Not really what I expected for a shrimp fajita. Shouldnt it have come out with peppers and onions?

One of the most consistant resautantsaround for tasy food, and great staffers. The folks here are always so welcoming, and the bartenders are the GREATEST! Always very nice, and they remember you and what you drink most times. This place serves a really great Happy Hour, and the BEST well Margarita im the Bay Area! Very Good Food!

Service friendly. Buffet, not so much. I guess we were too close to end of buffet time. They were not replenishing the food and the items that were there were getting a little dry. But still they charge the total price as those coming early for the fresh, plentiful offerings. It felt like a $6 buffet; way too much canned stuff.

This is your average Mexican-American restaurant, right down to the stereo-typical atmosphere and menu offerings. This is not a bad thing, just dont go looking for gourmet cooking and youll be fine. Prices are average; which is to say, most entrees run from $12-$20. Convenient cormer location makes it easy to find.

The staff was great. Its very casual. I didnt care for the food. I had a soft ground beef taco with rice and beans. It came hardly warm. I couldnt eat it. I didnt care for the ground beef. I probably will not go back or recommend it. Again, the staff wasnt the issue. They were all friendly and professional.

Typical Mexican place. Great fajita and an average margarita. Gave them only 3 stars because of the very grumpy waiter we had. He half listened to my drink and lunch order (didnt get my water and gave me flour tortillas instead of corn). The only smile we received was from the hostess coming and going

We tried one more time... service is poor and very slow. Waiter disappeared. Food quality even got worse. We voiced our concerns to the hostess and she only laughed. Her and the server standing next to her, did not care and laughed it off together. Save your money or find someplace else to go.

I HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS! I love the owners. The food quality has really gone way down hill. Sorry. But its borderline embarrassing. Why hasnt anyone told the owners? Its tasteless. Soggy. Mushy. And over priced. The chicken Caesar salad is pretty good What happened?

Dining room with has some booths; otherwise, there are tables. Service is generally good, sometimes only decent. Tasty Mexican fare, lots of choices, good options available for healthy eating. Sometimes parking can be tricky, odd-challenging parking lot configuration.

I didnt feel blown away - I guess you cant really expect that at an all you can eat taco bar. Its hard to say how I feel about the rest of the menu. It was pretty good for the price, though. Ill probably be back to try again.

Good service. Lots of chips and salsa. Service a bit hit and miss depending on server. Food is very good. Live entertainment Fridays and Saturday night. Very popular after 6:30 on Friday and Saturday so expect to wait.

Used to come here 20 years ago and moved away. Came back for dinner and it is still the same great place. Love the Chile rellenos and enchiladas. The staff is very efficient and the manager Maria was very acommodating.

This is a family favorite - we do many celebrations here. La Paloma is a fixture on El Camino. The menu is a mixture of traditional dishes and innovative fare. Great margaritas. Parking can be a nightmare.

Owners always present to make sure you have a great meal. Food freshly prepared from high quality ingredients, great tastes, neither too spicy nor too bland. Friendly, attentive staff; cheerful place.

Very good menu with many excellent specialties, a really fun, family place to go for nice Friday or Saturday night. Good prices, average service, can be crowded - but one can always eat in the bar!
