The ice cream was delicious, right up until I found the first hair that I ignored untill I found a second, longer hair in my ice cream. They offered me a free scoop, which I accept but then realized it was from the same batch of ice cream that I just found the hair in-laws so I threw that out and left. Also, my pregnant wife accidentally knocked hers over on the counter and got some dust or fuzzies on it and I asked if they would mind scooping her another. I offered to pay for both since it wasnt technically their fault, and they charged me for both. Call me old fashioned but as someone who worked in the customer service field for 10 years, I would have only charged us for 2 and thrown the 3rd away, but I guess good customer service isnt what it once was.

I went in with my 2 kids after school, the line was long as it usually is! But the thing is the Male Owner just cleaned up and put bananas away while his poor wife hurried around trying to service everyone! She was the only one actually working.. I dont know about you but proper customer service would be to help out and keep the customers happy other then try to do clean up prep work in the middle of the day!! The only reason Im giving. 3 stars is for the ok ice cream but mostly for that poor lady was very hard working and was doing the best she could with the zero help she was given!

I agree with the bored staff. Today I went in with my son and the only person there was on her cellphone, a bit irritated that she had to hang up and call her friend back. She didnt hang up immediately either... 3-4 minutes. Anyway, good ice cream. I like the Tin Roof. Cookie dough also good. Cones today were stale. Im disappointed because they would normally score 5 stars for me... But today was just... Ok.

Pretty good ice cream! Their regular options are delicious and the freshly made frozen yogurt is exciting stuff (it has an interesting texture, almost like Italian ice but not quite). Lines are comically long in the afternoon and whenever its busy. Interior is blander than the old location that burned down, but slightly more spacious. Still congested when the lines are long.

I have to agree with others, the ice cream is the best. I was very disappointed in the condition and cleanliness of the store. They had one table inside, and it was right in front of the door, with several young people sitting blocking the door. The store needs a good pick-me-up!!! But they do serve delicious ice cream.

They have good ice-cream at reasonable prices, but nothing that justifies the high scores I see in reviews. There is really nothing super special about the place, and better options exist around. Place tends to be crowded with young people, and parking, although usually easy, could get tricky at times.

Very rich, gooey (thats a compliment), and flavorful ice cream here, and in a really nicely renovated section of Southport Ave. We just had a sampling via their 3 scoop $6 offering. The gooieness factor for their ice cream is quite distinctive.

The flavor selection is not that great but of the ones they do have they are pretty good. They are very generous with the portions so thats always great. One time the service was a little slow but they are usually pretty quick.

Love love love ❤️ this locally owned dessert place!! My favorite is their tart yogurt mixed in with fresh fruit. I have yet to find any dessert/fro yo I like more. So happy they re-opened!!
