(Copying and pasting from Yelp because of how strongly I feel about this place.) Smoke Eaters on S. 3rd St. has raised the bar in what it means to have a poor customer experience. In fact, it is the worst experience Ive ever had at any store, period. While first arriving, the "cashier" (who was dressed in a baggy grey hoody, a snapback, and baggy jeans; with no indication that he was employed there) was sluggish while taking down out order that we had to repeat what we ordered a handful of times over. Needless to say, he was high. Im not really a demanding customer so I didnt really care. Once he served our table our beer, I asked if I could get my cup for soda since I had forgotten I had ordered one. The same employee responded with "get it yourself bruh". On top of that, our food was not even cooked correctly. My coworkers chicken tenders were under cooked to the point that the chicken was still cold and pink in the inside. Im surprised they didnt tell her to cook it herself. Soon after another coworker joins us 30 minutes late (10:30PM at this point), so he goes and waits in line for 5 minutes and soon sits back down letting us know that they werent serving beer anymore! We try convincing them to serve our coworker just one glass of beer since it was barely 10:30PM. An employee replys, "if you want beer, you could buy it someplace else". They then told us that they were ready to close in 10 minutes. I looked down at my phone, it was 10 minutes before 11:00PM. Last time I checked, they close at midnight. Im glad, however. I dont think I couldve lasted another 10 minutes there anyway. We quickly finish our food and naturally, I get up to wash my hands - what could go wrong? I open the door. Its the high cashier. He tells me the bathroom is closed. I proceed to ask if I could just wash my hands. He refused by intimidatingly saying he just cleaned the bathroom. I cant believe I was stupid enough to pay $17.44 for 10 wings and a drink in the first place. I wouldnt eat at S. 3rd Street Smoke Eaters even if I was paid to.

Used to be the best value on Tuesdays and Thursdays when it was 50 cent wings and 1$ tenders. I understand that with the discounted prices that they can charge 50 cents for ranch or blue cheese. Now, at 1$ per wing, and 2$ and change for a tender, these prices are a little ridiculous. I can go into an actual sit down restaurant and order a better variety of food, and have a server, all while paying the same prices, or cheaper. With these vastly increased "special" prices on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you would think they would no longer nickle and dime you for ranch and blue cheese, but no, you still have to pay for ranch and blue cheese. Id understand maybe 1 side free for a certain amount of wings or tenders, then if you want more then you pay the rest, but sadly, thats not how it goes here. I understand this is a business and theyre here to make money, but maybe they should focus more on what they do best, great wings, and a decent beer selection. Instead, the ever expanding menu increases costs for the restaurant, as well as expanding beer tap selections, and we as the customer are stuck paying for these costs with expensive "discounted" wings and tenders. Id give 1 star if I didnt think that they have great wings. They definitely lose stars for the outrageous prices, not providing ranch and blue cheese on "special" nights, and for trying to nickle and dime you for eeverything. EDIT: Now $1.15 per wing on Tuesdays, used to be $.50. Like seriously, for f*cks sake. Stop jacking up your prices.

Only good when it comes to the Tuesday deal: 50 cent/wing. I notice that their wings get bigger after a while. It used to be really small. But now since it gets bigger, I give them credit for it. Its good for people who enjoy eating spicy food. Me: not good at handling spicy stuff so all I can eat here is Mild wings and curly fries. Fries here are expensive actually. But I like how they give you a automatic device and it will go off when ur order is ready. I think its pretty cool. Plus they also give out celery along with your wings. Celery has negative calories so that would make you eat even more haha. But I like how it balances out the spicyness of their wings. If its not Tuesday: expensive chicken wings. Oh yea for beer fans, its a great place.

The sauce is sickly sweet with tons of cinnamon. I got the 4 alarm. It was a 5/10 on the hot scale. Inferno is a solid 6. I cant imagine their "waiver" wings are that hot. I had the wings on the tenders, which always amplifies it. My wife and I did not have a problem with the heat. She ended up dipping her nuclear wings in my 4 alarm sauce. But I did have a problem with the chicken. At the end of the day, it just wasnt very good. I would not go here again. The Good: It is a nice place. The atmosphere is nice. There are TVs everywhere.

Hot...tasty...Stuff, worth a visit. Want hot wings? Cold beer? Fries? Fun and clean atmosphere? Look no further than SmokeEater. It is not fancy. Its not healthy. And sometimes the hot tenders, my fav, can be unevenly prepared. But hey, what do you want from a hot wing place. The service is always good and its a fun to watch a little sports TV with your food. Both this store and the store in Santa Clara are great. Better than Wingstop and some of the others IMHO.

Great place to watch sports, especially sharks. Great craft beer selection. Variety of sauces for their chicken ranging from sweet to painfully spicy. They have a spicy wing challenge that Ive heard is absolutely insane. Only down sides are out does get very full very fast when games are on, its not the cheapest place, and (this is just a personal preference since I dont like sodas) they only have a soda fountain for nonalcoholic drinks, how about some ice tea?

This place is a wonderful place to go and hangout; whether its with friends, or fellow sports fans. This place is loaded with large screen TVs so you never miss a beat. The wings here are average, but the sauce is what makes the wings. Ive tried the inferno sauce twice the first time had a vinegary taste, so i didnt like it. The second time i had them they were much better and i could really feel the taste of the peppers. It was the most beautiful thing.

DONT DO THE CHALLENGE The wings and tenders was OK ... the service could be a lot better but they have this stupid challenge to eat extremely hot wings in 10 min then they will put ur picture on the wall and give u free T-shirt first of all, there is no pictures for anybody who finished this stupid challenge second, my friend tried it and he had the worst night ever the extreme hot sauce is not suitable for human consumption

Never coming back here again. Playing some sort of hard rap Pandora station with every other word being bleeped out, 6 different shows playing but not one of them with subtitles, staff constantly on their phones, one girl drinking a beer while working as well! Also after we finnished our food we sat for almost 10 min until someone asked if we needed a bill. Shity service, atmosphere, and the food was dry.
