This gem is hidden in the Luckys shopping mall on Blossom Hill and Snell. The Luckys shopping mall is mostly ghetto, except for this restaurant and Angelos. So ignore the cheesy sex shop and the beggars outside the Lucky and enjoy this little Blossom Hill secret. It redecorated a couple of years ago and now its decor is a nice surprise. It also has a fancy drink menu which is unheard of in most Chinese restaurants. I have not had a bad dish here, but Im not very adventurous. I think I shall try something new next time. My all-time favorite dish is beef chow fun, and even done badly at other restaurants I still like it. The food is very good but mostly what is amazing to me about this place is how great the service is, and how pretty it is inside.This shopping center doesnt deserve this restaurant but Im glad it has it. Yesterday I was a bit under the weather so I had them deliver. They say an hour to an hour and a half wait on the phone, Im pretty sure they want to shock you into coming in to pick it up, and they guy showed up in 20 minutes. I sure missed the atmosphere as I ate at home, but liked the luxury of eating in my flannel pants on my lazyboy sofa.

NOT A KID-FRIENDLY Restaurant!!! Our family has been loyal customers, we had lots of take out food ordered to them. Then one time, we actually had our very first(and last) dine in. Me, my husband, our two kids and two others. Our 3-year old daughters so excited, shes bubbly, so we tried to make her talk softly so she doesnt bother other people eating. But the server or owner just jump into our business and is so rude, she tried scaring our daughter to quiet her down. Were so shocked and disappointed, barely finished our food, we went home and promised not to go back or order any food from them anymore

The food was mediocre american chinese food as others had pointed out. The portions were filling but werent anything special. The service was below par and cleanliness was lacking. The restaurant seems to be confused as to what their atmosphere should be especially as the music and the vibe dont match. Overall, I can only recommend this restaurant to someone that needs a semi-quick meal that is filling. Even then it still is not that far above chinese fast food chains and/or buffets.

Ate here again after my first time in a couple of years and I was very disapointed. Their quality of food is no better than any other Chinese fast food joint. I would even say that Panda Express food is better and I would rather eat that then go back to this place. They have decent prices, but you get what you pay for and the dishes are rather small portions. I do not recommend this place if you are looking to get real chinese food.

Coming from Chicago, I noticed West Coast does not offer "Lo Mein" but Pearl has something comparable. My hubby wasnt 100% blown away by it. But I LOVE the fried rice, best Ive ever had along with the egg rolls...different but delicious! Also west coast doesnt have crab Rangoon but I was happy to find "cream cheese wontons" which are pretty good substitute. Overall, I like Pearl a lot.

I have been a long time customer, over 30 years, the food is OK, but not as good as it was with the last generation of the last family that operated the business, the night club must be the main reason why? In my opinion, the bar is better, the restaurant (food) is not as good. and the take out/ delivery portions are smaller with a much higher price.

I have been going to Pearl River Restaurant for over 30 years. I knew the parents, they retired and the kids took over. They are very successful Food is awesome, selection, ambiance, low noise level, and very personable, is the greatest I love this place The deliver as well

Ignore the atmosphere and Decor as I have only had delivery from there. They always arrive on time and with hot food. The only thing I can complain about is the price. I think they are a little high but not outrageous.
