Ill all about efficiency - or, well, okay, maybe Im just really lazy when it comes to driving. In either case, I figured Id make the most of my drive back up from SoCal by meeting up with an OkC date on my way through the South Bay, and Kyusu caught both of our eyes. We end up ordering their: * Tea Leaf Salad - A must at any Burmese restaurant, and, surprisingly one of the tastiest ones Ive ever had: far tastier than Burma Superstars, and actually a bit more enjoyable than Mingalabas as well, which was previously my favorite. * Kawk Swe Thoke - I, personally, was a huge fan of this dish, which was almost curry-like in flavor. The overall dish was packed with a ton of flavor, and the noodles themselves had great texture. My date, on the other hand, wasnt as impressed, so take that as you will. *Seik Tar Chet (Goat Stew) w/ Prata - My least favorite dish of the three. Not to say that it was bad though: it lacked the usual gaminess of goat, which was nice, but I still found the meat a little too tough, and the flavors a little... not lacking in intensity, but in complexity. All in all though, a solid Burmese joint. Shame its so far away from me! ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - It was hard to get a sense for just how large the restaurant was, because all the tables were somewhat compartmentalized, which was nice for privacy, but made sitting at anything but the end of the table a little difficult, since the spaces between the dividers and table edges were a bit of a tight fit (but not impossible). Bathroom - Didnt check them out, so no comment.

Vegetarians have very few options to choose from. We ordered some items that could be prepared without shrimp/chicken/fish. The tea leaf salad was surprisingly flavorful and crunchy with roasted peanuts and beans. The noodle salads (thoke) was my favorite with the right blend of spices, vegetables and noodles. I was a bit underwhelmed by the vegetable curry and it came home in a to-go box. But that was probably because of the expectations set by the salads. Well probably visit again even though we know that we have to order the same items.

My team at I went out for Burmese food today to celebrate January birthdays! We stopped by Kyusu for some lunch time noms. I ordered Nan Gyi Thoke which are thick rice noodles cooked with garlic oil, chilli oil, tamarind and other savory ingredients. The noodles tasted refreshing and were incredibly filling. Each lunch entree is served with chicken or vegetarian soup. For $11.50, this bowl of noodles is a must try!

Inexpensive good food and efficient service at what might be the only Burmese restaurant in the south bay area. We went in at 1:30 for a late lunch (they close at 2 pm), and were seated quickly. The place is busy for dinner, be prepared to wait. All the food is good, we had spicy samosas and tofu for appetizers, spicy fish, biryani and chickeb curry for main course. The decor is nice too. Recommended!

The food is pretty good not great but good, and the portions are way too small and over priced. For 14 dollars you get a very small amount of beef, like 6 small chunks of meat. I honestly only come here because its the closest Burmese restaurant near by. Burma Superstar continues to be the best, Burma Superstar are just as pricey but big servings and great tasting food.

What I imagine to be very authentic Burmese cuisine. The dishes are packed with flavor and many are mixed right at your table. Labor intensive for their servers, sure, but it is fun knowing the 10+ ingredients that went into each dish. I only have a couple of other Burmese restaurants to compare it to, but this is my favorite due to its unique and flavorful menu.

Good thing about this place is they have a limited menu but everything on it tastes extremely good. We ordered 3 different dishes and all of them were super delicious. The ambience is also really nice which makes it a very different place from regular south bay restaurants. Highly recommended. Do try the Burmese hot tea!

Food: 4 Decor: 4 Service: 3 Came here for lunch on a weekday. 1. Burmese Chicken Curry $8.50 Burmese red chicken curry with onion, garlic, ginger, cumin, tomato and potato. ~Pretty good. Chicken and potatoes were both cooked well, and the curry went well with rice. Service was good, although my water wasnt refilled.

Love this place. Food is tasty. Though, not sure how authentic it is. Get the tea leaf salad (with cabbage), country fish, aroma chicken, and goat curry! Some of the dishes come with rice, so no need to order extra rice on the side. Wait time could be a little long during busy times, which are usually dinner time.

Have been here multiple times with friends and we all love this place. This time, we had 5 orders of tea leaf salads between 5 of us. It is undoubtedly a must have here. It is a treat to watch the waiter mix the ingredients in the plate on the table. Commendable hospitality too.

Tea leaf salad was awesome, and the rest of our dishes had great flavor! Coconut milk noodle soup and thick dry noodle (forgot the name...). Very amiable service, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. Prices are reasonable as well.

Im from Burma and I can vouch for the dishes that I had to be truly authentic - coconut milk noodles and fish soup noodle. Our waitress is from Burma and from the food, I bet the chef behind the dishes is too.

Went here once, and the food was very good, and different from the norm. The service could use more help; there was only one or two servers and they were very busy. Wouldnt mind trying it again.

The food was great, tea leaf salad is amazing. Samosas taste Burmese style, different from the Indian style. The thick noodles with crispy tofu are a treat for the taste buds.
