Went to San Pedro Square to try as much places as possible since Im not a local, and after going to this place I wish I was. . . kind of. I came to Konjoe right when it opened and even though the menu was very simplistic the choices sounded so amazing. Konjoe Burger is an Asian fusion place and after much deliberation I ordered the pork belly burger ($10.50) with a mango lemonade ($3), $15 total. It stated on the menu the pork belly burger was made with slow roasted pork belly, lettuce, hoisin ketchup, sambal mayo (a Japanese spicy mayo), and pickled apples. The cashier was pleasant and not much was exchanged since there was a large group behind me. They gave me a buzzer to let me know when my order was ready, I didnt wait long. Man I was really eager to try this burger out. Here it comes! Here it comes! =l For a ten dollar burger it was small. . . I was thinking how was I to split this burger with someone? It was that small, not teeny tiny; between a slider and average size burger. Of course the size is only one dimension, the taste made up for the size. My goodness!! When they stated slow roasted pork belly, it was slow roasted pork belly. One can eff up pork and when you do it JUST right its the most amazing taste and boy did Konjoe knocked it right out of the park. It was juicy and tender, the meat to fat ratio was on point. The flavor combination with the pickled apples complimented the burger so well, the apple lightened up the heavy flavor of the pork (no wonder apples and pork are thing, makes so much more sense). The burger was orchestrated beautifully in taste. It was a surprise to have the depth of flavor from San Pedro Square. Mind you I have eaten a lot before hand as I was milling through my way through The Square. So for Konjoe to taste as wonderful as it was, on a 88% full stomach. I say Yay!! ^^ to Konjoe Burger Bar. Keep in mind its a little pricey so if youre on a budget indulge with that in mind.

I was back in town this past weekend and decided to go to SPSM for dinner and some drinks. I stumbled across this place and decided to give it a shot because their signage looked awesome. We ordered two burgers (1 Konjoe and 1 Pork Belly) and split the two. We also got lemonade. After reading the reviews, I was tempted to order a bit more because of the portion sizes, but quickly realized that these burgers were more than enough to fill me up. The lemonade was awesome...but Im biased towards anything lemonade, strawberry, or mango and this was all 3 so it was an instant winner for me. The burgers are some of the best that Ive had. The pork belly was juicy, the sauce was great, and the combination of flavors was ridiculously good. The Konjoe burger had an egg. Enough said. Eggs make anything and everything better. After finishing my burger, I started to dig into the fries and was pretty darn full after that. Maybe I just dont eat a lot, but it shocks me that people want bigger portions because this was enough to get me full and not too much where I felt gross. Next time Im back this is a must visit!

Wow, they do some really amazing burgers. Go for medium rare which actually turns rather medium and you get a super juicy piece of beef. Their patty is very soft and fluffy and just goes perfectly with the meat. I love their homemade sauces and seasoning. Make sure to add grilled onions, they add some nice flavoring. Overall they use little salt and not too much oil and therefore you dont have that heavy and greasy feeling after enjoying the burger. Their fries are also outstanding because of the seasoning they add. If you order them with ketchup you get their home made tomato ketchup. Service is friendly and enjoying the burger inside San Pedro market adds some great vibes.

Not the best, not the worst. I got the Konjoe burger (it has a fried egg, jalapenos, etc) and was expecting a real flavor punch, but it was rather bland which was surprising considering the large diversity of ingredients put together for the burger. I think that in the end the major issue (aside from the mild flavor) was that there was no crunchy element to the burger - the texture was 100% mushy. This threw me off, and my husband tried the burger too and had the exact same comment. Not sure that I would return with burgers being $12 a pop, but they are still new, so Im hoping that things will get better from here for them!

Best gourmet and fusion burgers in San Jose! I really like their spin on a burger and the unique flavors they use. One of my favorites is the pork belly burger because the pork belly is so tender and flavorful... I think this might actually be a crowd favorite as theyve sold out a couple times Ive gone. Try their fried chicken too, it is awesome! Crisp and flavored to perfection. And I like that they are using locally sourced distributors meaning their ingredients are fresh and that our money is being cycled through our local economy instead of going out of our metro/state/country.

I love burgers. They cant be too small nor overcooked; the bun must be large enough to encompass the burger, thick enough to afford a good grasp, but not so large as to overtake the burger; toppings must be fresh and portions cant be skimpy. All in all, Im a snob when it comes to my burgers. Konjoe is everything I want in a great burger. The fried egg is always cooked perfectly and a great compliment to any burger. The fries are also delicious, but I only like them without the seasoning. The seasoning (probably paprika based) is a bit too overpowering for me personally.

Great place to hangout with co-workers or friends. This place is always packed and busy. Best to come before 11:45am or after 2pm. Workers are pleasant and outgoing. What couldve been a five star experience turns out to be four. The kitchen staff are forgetful about extra side orders. I got me kalbi burger with fried egg and regular fries, but got them separately after I was seated. So no biggie here, as Ill assemble it myself. Burger and fries were tasty being medium well, but what if I didnt have time and taking it to go? If I dont check, Ill assume its complete.

Lets talk about burgers and sandwiches for a moment. Who doesnt love a good one? Ive made the trek to San Pedro Square Market a few times before to try out some eats. This time around, I tried the newly opened Konjoe Burger. I went for The Pork Belly Burger. It has a lovely sauce, pickled apples and a generous portion of savory pork belly. The surprising part? The potato wedges they serve with it! How awesome are those puppies? Their house made ketchup is a bit bland but I appreciate the effort nonetheless. Ill be back.
