Nice little Italian cafe. good tea and coffee, great selection of pastries, they offer breakfast sandwiches, paninis, sandwiches, salads, soups, and more. One of the key highlights to this place is the upstairs loft lounge area. My friends an I hang out up there and play games while having our drinks, some people go there and study for school, there is a TV up there, but Ive never seen it on. They also often have live music. There is a piano in there as well that Ive seen people just hop on and start playing. I think as long as you know how to play you are welcome to use it? One of my favorite things about this place is that it is open late, 10pm M-Th, 12am Fri, Sat, 9pm Sun. Also there is outdoor seating and makes for good people watching as it is in a high traffic area. Service staff are friendly, even when they are being slammed by 50 geriatrics ordering extra hot soup.

These guys are great, their coffee is superb. Unfortunately my date wanted a caprese salad but they were all out of cheese so she got a fantastic caesar instead. The latte she ordered was superb, and my cappucino was the smoothest I have ever tasted, and was extremely well done, I drank it black because it didnt need anything extra, again very VERY smooth. Had a few guys noodling around on the piano, and the upstairs loft definitely feels like a friends living room with a great view. Overall, extremely friendly staff, great food, -1 star from perfect just for not being able to get mozzarella (or apparently salt for a caramel latte). Thanks guys!

Ordered a cappuccino. Pros: cool place. Has a homey feel? Could use a remodel... Cons: instead of micro foam they decided to use macro foam... it looked like a kid blew bubbles in milk... They left the shot alone for over 5 mins before pouring the milk in. Tasted horrible. Asked them to remake it... they all looked at each other like they didnt know what to do. Didnt get it remade. Checked my credit card statement... charged an extra 2 dollars on tip that I definitely didnt give. Wouldnt recommend.

Cafe Frascati is one of the local coffee shops that makes an effort to get to know you! Ive been there quite a bit since I moved out into San Jose and it eventually became a habit to start my work day enjoying their amazing cappuccinos, Their baristas take care and consideration into every cup they make, so patience is certainly a virtue. This is a great place to enjoy a traditional European breakfast with high quality coffee, so make sure to come by and enjoy one morning before work!

This is the worst coffee shop I’ve been in in a while. The service was bad and unprofessional taking texts before helping the only two people in line. Also the milk that was set out was expired and when I poured it into my coffee it curdled on top, very disgusting. I’m a loyal coffee goer and in search of a good place to become a regular at if anyone goes to San José avoid café passé for a good experience go down the road to Fillz nothings rotting there and service is very good

Perfect for study! The employees are friendly, the café is good (not as good as some independant roasters, but on a sleepy morning it does the job) the salami panini is SO GOOD, the music is not too loud, the internet is fast enough for Googling (dont know if its fast enough for the programmers though) , you have some high tables for the lovers of standing desk, and the space is huge! I love this place, its my new favorite in San Jose :)

This place is going down hill in service. First the coffee is really expensive and not particularly that good, so your really paying for 7-11 quality. Second, hey why not have a pastry w/ fruit flys swarming around them trapped in. No thanks, my money is better spent at home, where the quality is 100%better. Talk about a drag! The service can be somewhat rude as well, and if its busy, well hurry up and wait for your microwave food.

Exceptional on many levels . One time visit. In neighborhood at a girls volleyball tournament. Very nice cozy vibe. Staff seemed interested in me when I was asking questions . Almost $5 for a spinach n cheese microwaved pastry, hmm. Very old school and laid back. Old guy sitting at window table calming enjoying a draft beer at 10a ... life is good. Psycho Donuts, near bye also worth a 2nd visit.

Ive stopped by at this cafe every day of my stay in San Jose. The coffee is great. Seriously good. The food selection is also good. Wifi is quick. Seating comfortable. Even had a someone do an open mic session. Really cool place to hang out. The staff were also really friendly and I believed them (Im from the UK and we can be a bit suspicious of too much have a nice day happiness). A gem.

Great venue, awesome service, and they know how to make the good stuff. Stopped by for an Iced Mocha & Cappucino to get me over the Wednesday hump, and Im glad I did. The drinks were spot on. Strong. Flavorful. Affordable. A true triple threat. Ill have to come back during one of their live music or open mic nights. I got some slam poetry I need to throw down...

I am a big fan of coffee places one can go and work or read at instead of always staying at the house. So far, Caffe Frascati is my favorite coffee place of that sort - I spend several hours there on most weekends. The desserts, lunch items, and coffee selection are also excellent, so even though it is quite pricey I still think its a fantastic place.

The coffee is delicious at this cafe, much better than Starbucks. The actual place is cozy and has an intimate feel to it. The service was fast and efficient. I did try an Almond circle and a custard doughnut, they did not taste very good, they can improve on this. I gave them 5 stars because it was the best cup of coffee Ive had in a long time.

Tea is delicious, and I love how they give you a pot and teacup. Way more preferable to other cafes defaulting to disposable cups (even "for-here" orders). Food selection is very carby (as are most cafes), would like to see some other options. Alcohol availability is nice--would be thrice so if they sold liquor/cocktails. Overall a very nice place!

I was in downtown San Jose for a conference and found Cafe Frascati on my first morning there. I immediately made it my "go to" place for breakfast. while I was there. The coffee is delicious and the food was delectable. I cant speak to the wine bar or the night life or live music but I am definitely a HUGE fan of breakfast there!

I love this small Italian cafe. Ive only been a few times, but they have a variety of open mics every week including music, comedy, and literature. The prices are a bit high for my liking, but then again there arent many things in the bay that arent over priced. Enjoy wine, coffee, deli fare, and yummy italian desserts here!

If you have time to kill and are open, this place does open mic comedy Monday nights and music Tuesday nights. Come witness the gamut of talent! Grab a glass of wine to make it better, or a latte, or both! Im also into the wall art and their logo; a cool little place where there are always people but its never too crowded.
