Miyako has the best prices, service, and selection/flavors of old fashioned ice cream in SF. Tom, the owner and server, has owned the place for decades. He is very gracious, and will prepare your dessert to your preference, whether it be old fashioned waffle cone, shake, sundae, banana split, etc... He also makes snacks like deli sandwiches and nachos. I was pleasently surprised to find a shop this inexpensive & with this level of personal service in SF!

I literally paid $3.50 for a hot pastrami sandwich with a side of macaroni salad and a mini portion of nachos. Not only that I received the best customer service I have encountered in a long, long while. I will be back for under $3 scoops of Mitchells ice cream very soon. This place is a gem! Skip the Subway two doors up for better value, winning service, and to support a long-standing mom and pop shop! CASH only.

This ice cream shop is simply delightful! The owners, Tom and Teresa are absolutely pleasant, lovely people. Just talking to them will make your day. 10/10 customer service for sure! And the ice cream portion is really generous - I asked for a single scoop and Tom was very generous in piling it up! Highly recommended not just for the ice cream, but for the utterly delightful people working there. :)

A visit to this place is totally delightful - its like taking a step back in time with ice cream, candies and service just like the good old days. Tom the owner is as sweet as the ice cream he scoops and is happy to let you sample. The candies and ice cream flavours on offer are mind bogglingly good. theyre open until 8pm everyday, but the owners are an adorable little old couple who probably have no idea how to change their google listing. If you stop in, be sure to contribute a maps edit for them if you know how! They have a nice selection of ice cream with both classic & obscure flavors. Super nice owners, sample to your hearts content.

This place has been here over 20 years, great sandwiches and delicious ice cream in an assortment of yummy flavors. We always get a cone for the baby(now almost 4)and sometimes a sundae or banana split. They are the nicest people around. Their little parlor has candy too, a whole list of treats.
