This place is great for lunch (I havent been here for dinner yet), which is convenient, because there arent many other choices around this somewhat sleepy residential/white color business area of San Francisco. Friendly service, good decor, excellent cleanliness, fast and free Wi-Fi, two HD Tvs in the bar area, and, of course, excellent Mediterranean food definitely make Mangiare worth stopping by. They definitely have beer and wine, but I am uncertain if they serve cocktails or mixed drinks. Mangiare is just 2-3 blocks off of the freeway (just west of the former Candlestick Stadium) and fairly convenient if you are heading in either direction on Hwy. 101. It is definitely a good place to stop if youre starving after a plane ride into SFO and want to grab a bite before heading into the heart of the city. One small drawback is that finding parking during lunch hours on weekdays can be challenging. You may need to walk a block or so, but it is a safe area with sidewalks and thus not a deal-breaker. If you arent in the mood to dine in and enjoy the atmosphere, one can just stop in to the bakery/cafe area of the restaurant and pick up something to go. You might want to bring your meal a couple blocks down the street for a picnic in the Candlestick recreation area and enjoy your snack or meal on picnic tables while taking in some good views of the bay and the constant air traffic arriving and departing from SFO.

The food was excellent, the service even better. You can tell they take pride in this place. Top compliments to the chef! The seafood pasta was exactly what I wanted to enjoy after a day touring the city. The goat cheese falafel was a nice twist to a favorite. I needed a quick bite to feed the kids near our hotel and away from tourist traps yet and interesting local fare. Thank you guys for taking care of my family! The beer selection even impressed the husband. Well see you again next time were in the bay area!

Wanted a quick meal (kind of) near the airport before my flight. My friend suggested this place and it looked good to me. I got the duck sandwich and it was pretty good. The duck was tender, but there was too much mustard and the bread wasn’t really toasted. The greens mixed in whatever dressing they had in the sandwich was good though and so were the fries. Overall, it’s kind of hidden in the Candlestick Park residential area, but it’s a decent place to grab a bite.

Enjoyed the food, drinks and most of all - the ambience - it was perfect for the Christmas party! George and his team were amazing with balancing drink orders, passing appetizers around and ensuring dinner was prepped well for everyone to enjoy. I highly recommend this venue!

Great little hidden gem that we found on our way into the city from the airport. George was delightful and had great recommendations. Food was top notch and the wine recommendation was fantastic too. I look forward to trying it again on the way home.

Simply amazing. The food was fantastic. We found this place while visiting and highly recommend it. In particular, i recommend the flat bread, cauliflower, artichoke tapas, and the pasta dish. Really enjoyed both nights we came here.

The seafood pasta was absolutely spectacular. I travel to the area often and stay near the airport. This will be the first stop of many. Park across the street and youll wont be disappointed. Ask for George to read you the menu.

Fabulous service at a friends holiday party! The food was right on time and no one waited for drinks all night (at least I didnt ;). Good times were had by all.

A good place to sit and have a beer close to the bay. Also the pizza wasnt half bad either.
