Pretty tasty but also pretty ordinary. Their sandwiches are good but its all ingredients they assemble together from the store. Theyre using fake meats like boca and other brands you find in the grocery stores like whole foods, trader joes, etc. It is good but Id rather eat out for more uniquely made and cooked foods. Also, the eating space is very unsanitary. They dont clean the tables, at least not during the day, and they dont offer a free glass of water with your food. Also, they have all the vegan options but no vegan mayo...I mean, come on. Lots of vegetarians dont eat eggs either. Its not hard to go buy some eggless mayonnaise now is it?! I would say no unless youre desperate for a sandwich and cant drive by the grocery to make four sandwiches for the same price of one here.

The first time I went here I did not really get why people loved it so much. I got a veggie sandwich. Upon my return I discovered that the real reason this place is so popular is because of their selection of "fake" meats. Oh my. The veggie smoked "duck" is probably the best textured vegetable protein that I have ever had! Add avocado on the sourdough and it ay just be the best vegan sandwich in the city for the least amount of money. I now eat here a few times a week. Great bread options as well including pita.

went here recently for lunch. Had the tuna sandwich on sourdough roll. It was okay. the bread was very big, and started falling apart (meaning it wasnt that fresh). This place, although has "vegan" items, also has real meats, so Im not so sure if there is any cross-contamination going on - for people who are strictly vegan or vegetarian - it may be iffy. Prices are reasonable, but they take cash only. There is an ATM inside the place, but it charges almost $3 to get money from it! Limited seating inside.

Fantastically delicious sandwiches--and they dont cost an arm and a leg! I highly recommend the chicken steak sandwich on toasted (be explicit about toasting) Dutch crunch bread with avocado. Suuuuper good. Also, contrary to another review I read, you cant get the vegan meat that they serve here at Trader Joes or Whole Foods because LnH sources from Taiwan, and the vegan stuff peddled at stores in the U.S. is vastly inferior. Cash only, BTW.

The food here is incredible. Its also unbelievably cheap and the sandwiches are kinda big. Im honestly shocked by how good the food and price is. I got the Vegan Chicken Steak sandwich on a sourdough roll. Just make sure to ask for no mayo to make sure it is Vegan.

i dont usually eat fake meat, but their vegi duck sandwiches are the best in the city. the owners are nice, and the atmosphere.... well, its the lower Haight outside, and nice and cosy inside...

Best prices in town. Im not a vegetarian but this is still my favorite sandwich shop. A super chill and relaxing place to read a book and enjoy a sandwich. The salads are SUPER DANK too!
