Yum Yum Yum! Best sandwich in SD! This place has giagantic sandwiches and delicious flavors! The Stallion is what Ive had along with their cream of jalapeno soup which was delish! Their little cookies they give with each sandwich are a great little after lunch/dinner snack. Also, their whole sandwich is big enough to split between two normal sized eaters. They have numerous choices for bread! The service is quick but, they can get super busy so I try to go in the in between meal times. Ive been here a couple of times and always had a great experience. They hit the list for the top sandwich spots for sure in this awesome city! Parking is kind of a bummer is Mission Beach but, if you find a spot stop in here for some great soup and sandwiches!

Everything about Rubicon Deli is 5-Star! Sandwiches, sodas, cookies, and convenience. If you opt for a whole sandwich, bring an appetite, because you wont want to stop half way thru the deliciousness youve embarked on - whether its the new Rich Boy chipotle chicken, the piled high Dom Pastram pastrami, or the hammy Hogs Breath - theyre huge. But save room for one last bite of the included hot chocolate chip cookie. They offer a craft soda fountain for beverages - no high fructose corn syrup here! If the mini cookie isnt enough, try the bigger options like the double chocolate fudge cookie - yum! And its tough to beat the beachside convenience, in the perfect spot for both PB and MB locals alike, accepting USD campus cash as an added bonus!

I stumbled upon this little deli while I walked in the rain on Martin Luther King day. Its a small deli with booming music and excited chefs. The vibe is palpable and you want to stay longer than it takes to eat your food. The Veggie sandwich is the best sandwich Ive had in years, worth the $7 for sure!!! If you find yourself hungry in the Mission Beach area, dont walk any farther than the Rubicon Deli. There is something for everyone - meat eaters and veg heads alike. Do yourself a favor and eat something that is actually good for you - be curious and eat at Rubicon Deli. You will feel good about yourself all day long! Good vibes, good food, good prices... whats better than that?? p.s. free parking and wifi! Hell yeah!

Disappointed regarding the customer service satisfaction. We placed a delivery order for 4 salads, one being the Superfood Salad (made with kale) . The Superfood Salad we got came as mixed greens. NOT KALE as described on their website. We have eaten the same salad from here before and it came with kale, but when i called to bring it to their attention that they made the order incorrectly I was given some lame excuse that its supposed to be "mixed kale". We know our salads, there was absolutely NO kale in that salad other then the few kale chips sprinkled on top. But i guess if your not directly in front of them they wont take pride in customer satisfaction.

Sandwiches are huge, a half is more than enough for one person, think they know that since they have a station just for wrapping your own leftovers. The stallion sandwich was tastey with a ton of vinegar, which I like. The blues salad was excellent with walnuts, cranberries and lotsa peppers, better than most higher priced places. They have great drinks like coco-aloe water, kombucha, water machine and more. Outdoor tables could use some shade. Fast service.

Solid, hole in the wall place for sandwiches. I got the turkey pastrami sandwich on semi-hard sourdough bread. The bread was delightful. The innards were a perfect ration of lettuce, mustard, cheese, and pastrami. I was also really hungry so that helped a lot. My companys vegetarian sandwich also looked so fresh and delicious, and he confirmed. Definitely recommend this place for a low key, easy, on-budget meal - only if you want something delicious.

I love coming to this place. I really enjoy the big sandwiches. If youre a fan of their Mission Hills location then youll know what to expect. This is a great place cause its close to the beach so if youre already there, you can pick up a sandwich and enoy the rays. Im also elated there is parking there because trust me I would not have been here if there was not a designated parking lot.

This is the golden standard for sandwich spots. Ive actual been here a few times, but have just gotten around to reviewing it. The Dutch bread is incredible, the place is a short walk away from Dolores Park, and every single combination tastes good. You really cant mess up your order. Make a point to try the different sauces. Thats their secret.

I am addicted the dapper dipper and the pastrami sandwich here. They are so good, a bit expensive for a sandwich but well worth the money in my opinion. I either get the wheat or jalapeño cheese bread. The cookies are amazing also. If you are in a hurry you can call your order in because the line can get long during lunch hours.

Delicious sandwiches and we loved the mini cookies. The bacon potato salad was a bit bland, and Id pass on it next time. We brought our sandwiches back to the beach and had a perfect lunch. Creative combinations on the sandwiches were super fun and made it extra special! Great quick bite

Ordered the Dapper Dipper with no horseradish... it arrived almost 2 hours later drenched in horseradish. As a result, the bread was soggy with it and it was the worst tasting sandwich Ive ever experienced... one bite was all I could take. Never ordering from this dive again.

Food is delicious. Service SUCKS! How hard is it to work at a rad place in a rad location and be friendly. :/ Prob wont be back. There are other places with just as good of food and nicer employees. Been here twice. Same experience each time. It's unfortunate.

I love Rubicon Deli! My favorite is the Spicy Tuna on the spicy bread or the mambo italiano on pesto and I LOVE the rubicon special too. The breakfast bowls are awesome with Acai, bananas, gronola and bee pollen! I usually call my order in early before they get busy.

Ive tried every sandwich on the menu, not a single one I wouldnt recommend. Rich Boy is my favorite. They serve a small cookie with every sandwich. Although they dont boast about their acai bowl, they make the best one in town. I eat here every day when Im in town.

Awesome bread makes an awesome sandwich and theyve got it. Sophisticated sandwiches, large portions, delicious cookies, cool and friendly staff... What more could you ask for? NB make sure you ask how big a full sandwich is before you order. They are GIGANTIC!

I love this deli because the sandwiches are huge and they use creative ingredients. The bread is really good too. I recommend the spicy tuna sandwich for whenever and the southwest wrap for breakfast. somewhat pricey for a deli, but well worth it.

Theyve got everything ! People who say they like subway better are idiots . Also, 2hr wait? They dont deliver as far as I know. Always annoying when tourist over crowd anything , but they read the reviews and no that locals love it.

WOW! We wanted something different from airport food and found it - the sandwiches were delicious and yes, great value. We split half of a half - and the other sandwich will be consumed very soon! The comp mini cookie is a great end...
