I really like this place as a sandwich shop. the quality is spot on... fresh veggies and bread, top quality Boars Head meats. Its everything you need in a sandwich. The ladies that make the food are friendly and welcoming. This is the most economical lunch in Del Mar village area by far. You can even call in your order so its ready when you get there. Watch the time though, they shut down the deli at 2 pm. They have two little outside tables on the side of the building but Ive never been able to sit at one because they were already taken. I eat here about once a week for lunch. For such a tiny place, they have an excellent selection of wines and spirits as well. Not that Im picking up a 5th and a straw to go with my roast beef, but I have brought a nice bottle of red home to share with my wife now and again.

Bought cigars twice. First time not bad. Second time cigars were dried out. Went back to tell owner. Although he said he wanted to satisfy me he acted in a way that was inapproriate and I lost $60 because cigars were not worth smoking. The store humidor probably is not working. He probably never smoked a cigar only a "chubby".

Great place. Girls at the sandwich counter are very personable and are quick! Its nice to find a great place in Del Mar without the attitude (dont roll your eyes, you know exactly what I mean). Tuna rocks. Turkey (Boars Head) is amazing. Great find.

The sandwiches are very good and everything is very fresh. Its easy in and out and they are fast. l like the variety too. The girls at the counter are super nice. I agree with the previous reviewer: support your local deli!
