so, the parking is convenient and you have some hopes. you enter the dim fogged hall. you think you are in a cheap smoking bar.. then, after youre able to focus in a darkness, you realize that nobody is smoking. the heavy air is coming from the kitchen, and you realize they are using a wood oven. it feels like no air, no ventilation. you are hesitating, but smiling waitress invites you to proceed. you sit and order. the staff is nice. the coffee is fast. the cup is terrible. greasy and slippery in your hand. the napkin helps. the visual properties of the cup are hard to describe due to darkness. you start having regrets of ordering food, imagining whats going on inside the kitchen.. 15 minutes with dirty cup, napkin and looking around. the pizza is not bad at all. not fascinating, but good. the size is bigger than you expect. good cheese, good vegetables, somewhat dry chicken, little bigger external dough crust you dont eat. friends, lets cook and eat at home. youll live longer and happier. in worse case - order. in the catastrophic case - go out.

Ive been in Sacramento 13 years already and rarely find a restaurant that cooks fresh, high quality food, thats not from some corporate formula fit for people who think Taco Bell serves real Mexican food. Im from San Francisco and always especially miss that real Italian restaurant like in North Beach or at a familys home. Today, I find Roma Pizzeria II and Im thrilled! I ordered the meatball sandwich on a toasted roll with delicious red sauce, homemade meatballs and loads of melted mozzarella! The minestrone freshly made and was also wonderful. All prepared with love. ... Like real Italian food is supposed to be! Molto Grazie! Ill be back!

Great service, great prices, great quality and great portions as well. What more can you ask for! I enjoyed this place very much when my friend recommended that we go for dinner. It has a homey atmosphere and the pizza was quite delicious. They have a good selection of toppings and if youre going with the a few friends, I recommend seeing the portion size before you decide to go large. They are not your normal sizes, and you will definitely get your moneys worth and tummy filled. You can box it to go if you do not finish as well and a couple of slices already fills a personal size pizza box.

We came here at around 9pm with a group of 6 and I hate coming close to closing but the service was incredible! We were greeted and seated right away. Anna brought iced water right away as well. The place is overall cozy and comfortable. The pizza was incredible! The large 16 is actually very big and normally I can eat about 4 slices, but I could only fit 2 in, even with a big appetite! We ordered a Margherita special, meat lovers, and one more that has a fancy name beginning with G. Overall, the pizza was amazing and the servers are amazing. Especially Anna!!! We will be coming back!

The short and sweet: Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Food: 5 What a find! I thought I had to-die-for pizza in my time, but after visiting Romas I realize I have been depriving myself. The secret is the crust on their pizza. The perfect balance of crispy to chewy, of spice to subtlety. And then its topped with made-from-scratch sauce and high quality meats and cheese. I think I died and went to pizza-heaven. And, on the plus side, the staff is very friendly and jovial. Even when they are at their busiest, they make the time to greet you with a smile and a warm laugh. Good stuff.

Only pizza place Ive ordered from in the past 3+ years. I always get pizza when I go here. It is the best ratio of size, high quality FRESH cut toppings, and price. The family that runs this place has always given me the best service and experience. Ive tried 10+ other pizza places around East Sac and Fair Oaks over the years, including chains and franchises. Roma 2 and Roma are the only places Ill go now. If youre looking for pizza and pasta done right without sacrificing the family experience, then you will not be disappointed with Roma (2) Pizza.

They use to be so good, but the last 3 times Ive had them it was horrible. The toppings were missing on half the pizza and my family got food poisoning. when trying to speak to the manager she demanded we give her our doctors information to give to her attorney which is in violation of the H.I.P.P.A act. And said shed take us to court if we didnt calling us liars saying no one else got sick youre making this all up. She finally agreed to remake us pizza the went back on her word screaming at us

This is one of my favorite little restaurants in Sacramento. Parking is limited and it is often crowded, but the food is excellent. Because they are usually busy, and there are very few employees, sometimes service can be slow, but still good. The food is excellent; everything tastes homemade. They also have a selection of Italian beers that go quite well with their pizzas. I would recommend calling first and making a reservation.

This place is like a hidden gem in Sacramento. One of the best authentic pizza places I have been to. It doesnt have the buzz factor of some of the newer places like Pizza Rock, but the food is simply amazing. The service here is also top notch. I am a huge fan of this place and would recommend it to anyone who really wants some great pizza!

We absolutely love Romas for both the delicious food and the fabulous staff. There isnt better pizza anywhere that weve been and the staff make us feel like family! Always great service with a smile and even a hug or two. Everyone moves at warp speed to see that the customers are served well.

Transplants from NJ. Great Margarita Pizza! Asked for medium crust and extra crispy and got what we asked for! Just what I was looking for in a pizza place. Even playing Frank Sinatra music. We are coming back for the pizza of the month, Heirloom Tomato and Bacon Pizza!

Three stars because the crust is plain but the amazing toppings, cheese and sauce really made up for it! If you think you should order three larges rethink and grab three mediums. This place will fill you up...and...the salad was actually fresh, crunchy and worth it!

Went there last night with my wife and daughter, what a treat! Had a plain pizza with a cal zone and both were delicious. Staff was very courteous and quick. Would highly recommend it. Its popular so bring your patience. PS, I enjoyed the BYOB.

Great pizza and pasta. Arguably the best in the area. The beer lines for the beer on tap needs to be cleaned. The Sierra Nevada tasted wrong. This was the case the last 2 times Ive gone and those visits were 4-5 months apart.

Best Pizza in Sacramento. Traditional crust fresh toppings. Always great!! Their Italian dishes are just as good, best Lasagna in town. If your looking for a great pizza or great Italian food this is the place.
