I had the mild spicy garlic shio tonkotsu with double noodle while my gf had the extreme spicy garlic shoyu tonkotsu. Very good portion sizes and very quick service. I didnt like the shoyu as much since all I tasted was chili sauce. Wished there was a little more depth in flavor. Noodles were perfectly al dente with a little chewiness. The shio came with 2 pieces of thinly sliced cha siu, a soft boiled egg and cabbage. The shoyu also came with cha siu, a soft boiled egg, and bits of nori. Any additional or extra toppings were additional cost. Living in San Francisco, Ive had way better ramen, but in Sacramento, this was the best. Would I go back? Maybe

Ive been here three times now and every time, I always felt satisfied from the depths of my stomach and spirit. The environment is built for both family friendly and for friends of any ages to hang out at. The food always has a great variety thats its always hard to choose. But in the end, you could come here and have a drastically different food experience. All in all, really great place and Id love to visit again!

Just the best ramen house in the area. There are two right next to each other, buy I prefer Raijin over Ryujin just because wait time is usually shorter because there seems to be this idea that Ryujin tastes better. If you ask me they are identical in quality. But I highly recommend this place. Its difficult to gind anything better unless you go to the bay area and even then this rivals everything there.

First visit and first ramen experience. Arrived during lunch time. Service was very fast and the employees were friendly and polite. The food was very good. I couldve enjoyed the broth alone. Youll have to ask for utensils if youre not too keen on the chop sticks. You also get ample portions for the cost. All ramen is around 9 bucks. I plan on coming again when Im in the area.

Just had the Gekikara ramen soup for lunch. Standard is pork based broth. I do not eat pork, and they gladly substituted pork broth for chicken broth. I found the soup hot, spicy, somewhat thick, and very hearty; which was what I was looking for. I was very pleased with what was served. The flavor was strong and complex. I look forward to returning.

We waited outside about 15 minutes before opening at 11:30am on Memorial Day 2017. The waiter saw us and welcomed us in to sit and browse the menu before the restaurant was officially open. He was cheerful and genuinely friendly. Food came quickly and everything was delicious at reasonable prices.

Like any tapas place, those little small plates add up quickly!! We tried some unique items, especially liked the jelly fish, but thought the tuna collar was a bit too strong. This is a great place to go to test your adventurous side! Definitely ready to try some larger plates there.

Love it! One of my favorite ramen shops in town, just across the street from Ryujin (which is my other favorite). Supposedly they have the same owners. Anyway, my favorite is the curry ramen, but theyre all good. A word of advice - garlic indicates a lot of garlic, ha.

Fast and good service. The soup and noodles were average and not special (the noodles were actually not very good at soaking in the flavour). Got the crab meat shio ramen. The crab meat was decent (real crab meat)

The ramen here is decent. Its definitely one of the better ones in Sacramento. Cool thing is that they will give you noodles to take out separately from your broth so you can have a decent set of leftovers.

I think the ramen here was okay. I tried both the raijin and the sister store ryguin. This place has more pork based broth. But the waitress was nice to make me a chicken based broth.

I had a bad experience with their ramen this one dining experience. The ramen was particularly rigid and hard to eat. It felt like it was frozen ramen that was rushed out too quickly.

Ramen is now my favorite soup -- no question. I recommend their mildly spicy versions of ramen. The other bases are good too, but I think the spicy ramen has the best complexity.

Ramen came with 1 paper thin slice of pork. Cost $8.95 per bowl. Then you have to add toppings for 50 cents each. Those toppings come standard in most restaurants!

Only one gluten-free option and it was tasteless. Try to add chicken to it come up but it was extremely dry and had a chemical taste to it. Extremely disappointed.

Fairly flavorful ramen. I definitely will come back and try the okonomiyaki. It was lunch time but place was not busy at all, wait staff was friendly.

Best ramen place in Sacramento by far. The dishes taste like authentic Japanese. (Source: lived in Japan). The donburi and karaage are also great!

Dont be confused with Ryujin, its the same place and owner! Its just a bigger location from Raijin since space runs out there quick!
