After eating here for years as my favorite place, I am disheartened to write this review after the experience my wife and I had tonight. After waiting a few minutes to be seated, the Chef embarrassingly and kindly asked us to seat ourselves and a server will be right with us. Except they never did. The floor was soaking wet and the only table we could even get to was a mess (the entire restaurant was scattered with chairs and tables). After watching the owner treat a birthday party to free shots, (which is cool) the servers basically followed his lead to attend to that table and ONLY that table. At least 6 people were waiting to be seated during this time and they were completely ignored. Their facial expressions, much like mine, were a mirror image of disrespect and concern about eating here. So finally we stood up after waiting 10-15 minutes to not even get approached by ANYONE. The owner asked if we were done and enjoyed, to that I responded we hadnt even started yet. he laughed and said oh im sorry let me get you a drink (he was pretty smashed looking). I said no thank you and warned the other customers still waiting they might as well come back another time. The owner was more interested in having fun than he was in running his business. As you can imagine my concern with even eating here again is growing fast. I have eaten here at least 40 times and lately its just a wreck. Being around the corner from me was a huge plus for convenience but I no longer feel comfortable eating here after watching half the customers being ignored to even get a seat. I now say bye to what was one of my favorite places to eat, and will soon welcome a more clean and caring environment. To the owner: I couldnt believe how bad your staff has gotten lately until I watched you not give a single care about anything other than looking cool and having fun. They follow your lead sir dont forget that!

My friend found this place and its the best sushi place in Sacramento. I have gone to about 7 sushi places around sacramento and this place rocks. The rolls are delicious and way better than mikuni at a much better price. The staff is fun and will work with you. I love this place and have spent probably about 150 dollars a week there. It is definately worth trying out and staying there. Start out with the gyoza (pot stickers, they are cheap here) and get some rolls.. Ninja roll is a classic.. they are all delicious.. they also do custom rolls if you ask... SO GOOD. They got to know me and friends pretty well and we had to wait once for 20 minutes for a seat... they gave us half the meal for free.

Ive been there twice the first time was a couple years ago and i remember not liking it i dnt remeber why so i womt speak on it it.. But The second was tonight i ordered 5 rolls.. Each roll was falling apart literally crumbling as i picked it up they forgot my appetizer then later forgot the roll i ordered for my children... Still we ate and the quality taste wise honestly sucked. Our waiter also seemed high stressed which is ok as we r all humans and it was also towards the end of the evening but your customers should never have to feel bad about asking for things needed while dining.... I will never return.

Very suburban crowd and feel, which makes sense (its in suburbia). If you live in Roseville, you probably like this place. The food is very average compared to other offerings in the Sacramento area. Attempts at creative rolls sound more interesting than they taste. I would say it was about the same quality as the Bento Box or Sushi Cafe local chains. Atmosphere is too noisy for a sushi place. Not sure how anyone places an order or has a conversation here -- bands blasting at top volume in a hard-sided room. Dont go here for quaint-ness. Seems in heavy contrast to the neighborhood.

I want to start off by saying the food is really good and the wait staff are really friendly. The menu is fairly priced and quite extensive. Unfortunately thats about all the good I can say. It is too loud to talk to people at your own table unless you shout. ambient music and loud patrons drown everything else out. It didnt take long to get my soda, but refills take far too long. Unless you buy booze, it seems, as the saki bombers are getting ample attention. Overall, prefer a quiet place to enjoy a night out.

I have had mixed episodes with Ninja Sushi. Not with the food but more the service. I have had waitresses go above and beyond to assure we had a wonderful time. And I have had waitresses that seem to want nothing to do with us. I still recommend the food and the specials they run are awesome. Two roles for the price of one with drink purchase = Win Win for customer.

Not going to come anymore. Rolls were all rice and no filling. Used to come here occassionally, but never had sushi this weak, even at super discount sushi places. No avocado in one of the rolls. Missing green onion in both rolls as well. Shouldnt they have noticed since there was almost nothing inside the two $12 rolls I ordered? Sorry, ninja. You used to be cool.

Good food but crappy service. Every time we walk in we get ignored for people who come every day and then they spend the entire time talking with them. You might get to place your order about 15-20 minutes after walking in. A drink usually comes after you order your food, and takes another 5+ minutes to get (have to go talk with regulars before you get a drink).

Food isnt good. Service sucks big time. Waitresses standing around talking for half an hour while Im waiting for a check. Ignored us too. I went here three times to see if it would get any better, it didnt. The sushi is also pretty bad compared to most other places Ive been to. If you go here, be warned youll be waiting for years.

Our new go to. Rolls were delish and fresh. Everything was coming out quick and all the waiters help out so everyone is getting great service. Seems like they all like working there so that makes it inviting too for customers. Will be coming back for my next sushi fix. Expect a wait because its a smaller place but its worth it.

The Monday-Saturday 2 for 1 rolls are a great deal. The Sake Bombs are fun and inexpensive. The owner is very friendly and will stop by your table to check on things. Sometimes the service is slow and the music is very loud! The Sushi is fresh and very tasty. The chefs are very good about shellfish allergy precautions!

I used to make fun of this place when I drove by cause of the name and look, but dont judge a book by its cover!!! This is by far my favorite sushi place ever. I go here for all my special events and at least once a week. Jullian, the owner, makes u feel like family. It wouldnt be the same without him. I love Ninja!!

I have been coming here since Ninja Sushi opened. Many friends that I have introduced Ninja to , have had their birthdays and social gatherings here. My son celebrated his birthday also, Jillian and his staff have always given attention to detail and treated us like family. Food always tasty, served with a smile
