I dont know whats up with these positive reviews, as this was the worst restaurant Ive been to in a very long time. I was disappointed by: The atmosphere (cramped, dingy), The level of cleanliness (gross thumb print on the fork), The service (plates brought AFTER the food was served!), The food ("beverages" come from CostCo -- only in cans and bottles, there are no glasses, no ice, no getting away with complimentary ice water), The value (we paid nearly $50 for three lunch meals that were really not very good). One final note -- naan is available, but only if you order it and pay for it separately. To me, this is like having to order chips and salsa before youll get them in a Mexican restaurant. All in all, Im going to avoid this place like the plague.

The service was embarrassing I called them for simple veggie biriyani and I was already 15 min away and they never started on it untill I arrived the place was empty there was no one there I still had work and they made me wait another 15 min I normally dont review anyone but I was so annoyed and upset when I finally got my biriyani and it looked like it came from a can ...it was just all wet and stuck together. And they were yelling at there kids the whole time

Found bone in veg dish.. Food was spicy and good with a very very basic ambiance.. But then we got a bone in the Aloo gobi, thankfully my wife is a non vegetarian who eats vegetarian food on certain days. We complained about it and they said the chef had done a mistake and they could remake it.. Also, do not order biriyani.. Stick to north indian dishes if you still decide to go!

A little hole in the wall that will not disappoint! Clearly a family restaurant, as both daughters were serving, and everyone was very knowledgeable about what was in the food and how it was prepared. That aspect is very important if you are a vegan. The food was amazing and delicious, and incredibly reasonably priced. Best Indian food I have had in Sacramento.

Ive ate at a few of the local Indian restaurants and this one here is by far the best Ive had. Its a small place and the woman working was very friendly and the food was made quickly and taste very fresh. The Paneer Pakora is AMAZING and the Chicken Vindaloo is to die for and just the amount of spice to keep you digging in. Definitely would recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I had a great first time experience. We were serviced throughout our meal by all members of the establishment and were even given dishes to try before buying. The food was absolutely amazing, everything was made fresh and came out steaming. I would recommend GIC to anyone who loves quality/authentic food and lots of it.

Pretty delicious food here, they give you a choice between mild and spicy for their curry, but both is pretty spicy haha. I wish that they had plate deals instead of buying all their dishes individually, but overall its nice hole in the wall place!

Absolutely delicious! Some of The Best chicken tikka masala I have had and it is all made from scratch in a small deli like set up. Will definitely be going back, and soon. I love the atmosphere, homemade food in a very "in mammas kitchen" feel.

I love this place I had the best Indian food ever. I had butter chicken chicken tikka masala and 2 garlic naan. They also give one order of rice free depending on how many curries you have. I will always come back.

The food is good! They did forget my water and chutney but I didnt really need the chutney anyway. It was tasty enough not to bother with forgotten things :)

Amazing food! The best Indian food I have ever had. It is pricy but well worth it. I have gone to many Indian restaurants but none of taste as good.
