Good attitude of the people running it but they forget you need more than that to run a restaurant. I got there with two other co-workers at 1pm. I called and confirmed that they had a buffet lunch. When we got there all the items in the buffet needed replenishment. I mean, except for a few items rest of the containers were empty and looked really not appealing. The lady said please sit down and they will have more food momentarily. We waited for 20 minutes, not even the naan. She said to start, so we picked up some lamb and califlower dish, both of which were cold. To make long story short 30 minutes to get some naan and they bought a few things out. They asked please wait and they are making more. My thought is we were all out to lunch from work and buffet is a quick option. If you run a buffet, you must make sure that food is filled and hot. Dont run a buffet if you are worried about wastage or not able to sell all your food. Very sad experience... One more thing, one of us visited the mens restroom, it was over filled and filthy. Hope you read this. Feedback is very important to business. I went to India Oven in Citrus Heights today. Please visit and see how a buffet should be.

Used to be good here. Our go-to place was closed early, so we ordered here. I quickly realized one of the reasons I hadnt come back for take out; their serving sizes are a joke for the price. After starting in to the Chicken Tikka Masala, Im glad it was such a small amount. The sauce tasted like they used tomato soup as the base and the typical creamy goodness wasnt there and it was way too sweet for Tikka Masala. There were about 10 small chunks of improperly trimmed chicken in it. The chicken Saag was more of a paste that lacked the usual herbs and slight citrus tang Ive been used to. It had 3 reasonable chunks of chicken and one chunk of fatty untrimmed chicken. The vegetable pakoras were few and mostly chickpea batter. Really sealed the deal for us this time. We wont be going back.

We had baby shower event on October 6th. It was held in CSUS University Hall. University asked about lot of documents . Inderjit gave all those documents without hesitation just for approval request to University. It was so easy working with him. He was ready to help any possible ways. We also food with reheating and setup from him well on time. We ordered Ras Mali and Shahi Paneer. They both were the big hit for the event. All the guests liked it ans enjoyed it. I am always going with Taj Oven for any future events.

Good Indian buffet at a fair price. I like to cook (and eat) a lot. Indian food requires a lot of preparation, cutting, and cooking--more so than most western foods, which means having a well-stocked buffet is tricky. This place has been run by the same people for years and theyve done a great job having a good variety with all of the Indian favorites youd expect at a fair price. Our whole family enjoys this place. Good food at a very fair price.

If you are an Indian, here is where you would eat in Roseville. The food is excellent. The spices used are probably home ground as they are very flavoured and REAL. the food can be as much or little spicy as you ask Chef to create. Nans ordered crisp were truly perfect. the pickled onions are to die for, never has something so well pickled even in India. I would increase the quantity of the raita, but that aside everything else was perfect.

Wonderful. I take for granted that the food will be hearty, flavorful and satisfying and I tske for granted that the staff will be friendly. I then get surprised by just how flavorful and friendly my experience is this time. I have tge buffet, but the owner still is stopping by to share hus favorite treats. He just gave me an awesome scoop of yoghurt stuff. As I type thus, he says " you want chicken?" Yes sir, I want chicken!

My first visit today and I was impressed with the service. Staff welcoming offered me to try food from buffet while I wait for my meal to go. Very accommodating friendly in a pleasant atmosphere. I arrived home to find the foods tasteful and almost to my liking which led I had been more specific on more spicing. I am well pleased and will visit again definitely

Taj Oven has delicious food. I probably either stop by or call in for a carry out order once a week. Portions are a good size for the price. The chicken tikka masala is my favorite (aloo matar is a close second)! Come hungry for the lunch buffets. I like to use them to try different dishes Im not familiar with. Easy parking. Comfortable seating. Great service.

They changed their name to India Oven Restaurant Roseville. When I asked the guy at the counter about it, he said its the same restaurant with a new look.... even though the staff and menu are different. Anyways, they still have good kathi rolls and other food. Though last time i checked, they have these little indian "sliders"- also very good.

One of my familys favorite place to eat in the Roseville area. The staff is so sweet and inviting and they always remember us! Im always pleased with the food! Especially the chicken vindaloo. Its not for the faint hearted palette as it is pretty spicy. Everything is always delicious! Ive taken a few newbies and they LOVED it as well!

Best North Indian food available at Roseville in affordable price. They have buffet in all tastes, spicy- sweet. I love their chicken Tikka biriyani. And service, they are the best. We arrived late one day, however they prepared really quickly n served us hot. Awesome, recommend to all those who love to try Indian food.

Ive been in US for 2 years and this is the best Ive had (havent been to CA yet). The place looks upscale, yet very economically rated. And the food is simply the best. I think the cook is a Bengali, the flavors were simply amazing. The one they prepared fresh was excellent, but they were also serving ones that had!

Best Curry outside of India. Probably better than what you find in India, too. I prefer to order off the menu rather than the buffet because I can specify the "heat" and they get it right every time. And, the orders are so generous that you will get about as much as you will with repeated trips to the buffet.

Best samosas Ive had in a long time. Also the food I had was delicious. I eat Indian food in many cities quite often and this one was especially good. Obviously owned by a "mom and pop" who where especially sweet and had very good service. Worth checking out for sure.
