If there was an option to give no stars I would do that. Terrible terrible terrible service. I wont say that food tastes bad, food is fine, some things are even good. But I would only go back again if in eternity the service improves. Ordered food for pickup once, that was fine. After that went there 2 times both times it was bad experience. First time service was bad I thought I should give it another chance, so next time I went there with friends to celebrate someones bday as he wanted to eat indian food so badly. List of things happened during both times I am putting them together: appetizers brought after main course, asked for one thing 3 times atleast, brought wrong beer, brought wrong curry, brought wrong naans, closed the kitchen before asking us if we wanted to order something more, we had to leave hungry as we couldnt get more naans, asked for medium to less than medium spices even mentioned we do not eat that hot but still it was mouth burning hot and spicy, asked for 3 to go containers (as we couldnt eat the curries as there was no naan kitchen was closed) they brought only 2, asked for one more and the guy never came back with that, finally we paid the bill but they had so much misscommunication the guy at reception was again asking us for money. Finally during second time we told that this is the worst service experience ever, the guy at reception responded," I just work here, you should have told that to the manager." Is that how you respond to your customers. So I asked for manager. He said he is gone. Seriously?

Id planned to have dinner at India Oven one evening but it turned out I wasnt really hungry yet so I ordered some food to go rather than dining in. I ordered Vegetable Jal Frozi (which came with basmati rice) and onion naan; I requested medium hot for the entree. I didnt have to wait long for the order to come out. To my pleasant surprise the waiter brought my food in a nice paper bag with handles rather than the usual plastic bag. Both the entree and the rice were very securely packaged AND THEN wrapped in shrink wrap so not a drop spilled. The naan was wrapped in aluminum foil. Even after a 30-minute drive home my food was still hot! I really appreciated the attention to detail. The food was tasty as well. Veggies were cooked but not overdone and the spice factor was just right--medium. Basmati was fluffy and each grain stood out separately--no clumping, even with the leftovers. I love the onion naan--its so heavily studded with chunks of onion. Love it. The portions are so large that I easily get two meals out of one entree with rice. India Oven continues to earn my patronage and thanks for good food at reasonable prices.

No kids or babies allowed. My baby just said something ba ba which is the only thing he can speak loudly and we were asked to make him quiet and asked to ask him to keep quiet. And none of the other guests complaint about him or anything. It was just one of the waiter who came immediately and asked us to make him quiet and asked us that we should not allow him to make any sound n sit quietly as if the baby would understand. This is a big insult . We just decided to walk away n leave the place.

Came to have dinner here as usual. Had the worse experience this time. The food was stale. Specifically the gofta and tandoori chicken. I cant help but think it was left over from the banquet hall. Then an amazing thing happened when we started eating we were told that we cannot get anymore naan without giving any reason. The person that took our order wouldnt even come back to talk to us. I thought I had found a good Indian restaurant in the Sacramento area, but now the search continues.

We went a party of 6, in that 2 vegetarians. with groupon coupon, the taste is worth the discounted price. we went for lunch on Saturday, vegetarian people are happy, but for non-veg, its not so spicy(as expected). the number are items are less compared to its competitors. and I have only two people to wait the tables, so water refilling is a bit late, but both of them behaved nice with customers. from 4 to 1 star, 2nd visit is a nightmare, tasteless, worthless.

We were thrilled when good Indian food finally came to the Citrus Heights area. Since its opened, India Oven has been our go to for Indian. Their buffet is just spectacular... really delicious, fresh offerings. Their wait staff is extremely attentive. The buffet is very reasonably-priced, so its a no-brainer to give this place a try if you havent done so!

I hated there service the first time I went here("which was by a female"), but I love there bread and fruity punch, other then that, there wasnt much options to choose from, and I dont like there deserts, still though I wouldnt mind eating here again...for the foods I did liked(which isnt a lot), plus I hated there snobby service.

Took my friend for birthday lunch at India Oven. It was delicious! The buffet was quite varied with different pakoras, from vegetable to fish, and curries from veggie to goat. All wonderfully spiced. I had mango pudding for dessert. Smooth, flavorful. The staff were friendly and efficient. I will be back.

Place is not as clean as I could see lots of crumbs on the floor and I had seen more than one fresh plate not washed completely. The food is super salty and spicy but the meat tastes very stale. Food is not heated enough just lukewarm. The only good thing is the tea which was kept hot.

Best Indian buffet I have ever been to and I eat a lot of Indian food. Their lunch buffet is the real star with lots of options and the same quality as if you ordered off the menu. The rest of the regular menu i would give 4 stars. Ambiance is nice and quiet and the service is good.

The food is delicious and the people are friendly. Had dinner with my mom and we had a fantastic time. I asked for mild everything because my mom cant have very spicy foods anymore . They accommodated and everything was perfect. To top it off the prices are very reasonable.

This place is almost great. The atmosphere is pretty classy but all the guests are dressed casual. The service is almost perfect but we found out selves asking for more water many times. Food is spot on. The tandoori items are great and I love the saag paneer

Staff seem not to experienced but food was good. Big problem was ordered kheer for dessert to go and got home to find out one of them was some type of dressing/sauce not dessert. Not good when paying $5 for a dessert and dont get it.
