I have been a customer with Freeport Bakery for about 15 years. My Daughter got married on May 17, 2015 and ordered a chocolate and red velvet cake. The cake was very beautiful; however, the red velvet was very dry. The following day my Daughter spoke to the Manager, who acted as though this was no big deal. My Daughter even mentioned how many guests commented on how dry the red velvet cake tasted and was very surprised to hear it was from Freeport Bakery. The cake was very expensive, yet the Manager offered no type of reimbursement, for such a special event. Greatly disappointed in their customer service and the red velvet cake.

Amazing wedding team but even better cakes! DELICIOUS! Used them for my wedding cake and it was phenomenal! My only regret- not getting a taste of the red velvet with chocolate filling on my wedding day. That was my special tier my husband let me have even though he dislikes red velvet. (Que "awww" haha!). It was all snatched up by the time I could sit for some cake, bummer. Absolutely adorable shop too. They should really expand and open another shop because their cakes are truly exceptional! Thank you to the Freeport wedding team and the bakers!

I am hoping that I have had the last piece of Freeport cake I will be obligated to eat at a work function. I have had many, always with the same dissatisfaction. The cake is dry and the buttercream frosting is put on by the shovelful. I dont get the trend in so many bakeries that the frosting should roughly equal the amount of cake, instead of being a compliment to the cake--I am guessing it is to hide the fact that making a moist cake is far more difficult than making (or buying) buttercream.

I love Freeport Bakerys Fresh Fruit Tart. The crust and custard on the bottom is decadent and rich, and it is covered with a beautiful layer of colorful fresh fruits including kiwi, peach, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, and blackberries. I like to purchase the fruit tart for birthdays as a more healthy option since many of my friends and family are health conscious. It is not as rich as a full cake, but makes an artistic presentation and is still a very tasty dessert.

This has got to be the best bakery in Northern California. For our wedding reception, we ordered three different types of cake layered(chocolate/hazelnut/fruit) into one beautiful cake which was enjoyed by everyone since there were so many different tastes represented. The cake was delivered in a timely manner, set up professionally and we were given clear and explicit directions on how to cut it. Freeport has never disappointed--pumpkins pies are great! Pecan pies--fantastic.

Did a wedding cake tasting here and had a good experience. The cake samples and frosting/filling tasted really good. We got to select 6 different flavors and the process was explained very well. We were also shown many different photos of wedding cakes to get ideas, which was helpful. Otherwise, as a retail bakery, the store gets a bit jam packed when its busy and the lines were long but understandably so because its a mom n pop establishment with great success.

Though the bakery does not have an enormous selection of goods, what is offered is well prepared. The champaign cake was so moist and the strawberry cream filling tasted as if it was made from scratch. I also had the little personal bday cake made for my daughter. It was just the right size for a one year old. So, consider that before ordering. The customer service was generic yet pleasant. I think u should give them a try if you havent already. :)

Do you desire the best for your family,friends? Then this is your place the croissants are out of this world brioche bread 10 stars cake decorating the best brioche hamburger/sandwich cookies the Royal frosting yes its great unlike most bakerys all show no taste not this bakery amazing taste beautiful pressintaion litterly makes your taste buds tingle with delight & the employees fantastic very helpful when ordering a Bday cake coffee great too.

They have the awsome cakes, there is no question about that. I am happy to say that they have best employees in sacramento county. I have received an excellent cutomer service at Freeport Bakery during each visit.. Everytime i visit, i notice that every employee smiles, and makes every customer feel welcome. There is no rushing here, they take care of one customer at a time. EXCELLENT.

I ordered our wedding cake from them last year. The tasting appt was fantastic--the ladies helping out couldnt have been nicer or more helpful and the selections to choose from were varied. It was so easy to order it and the final product was incredible. Ive just ordered our anniversary cake since we ate the top tier after our honeymoon. It was too good to wait a year for!

Freeport Bakery baked the cake for my wedding and we loved it! Setting up an appointment with them was very easy, they have done a lot of cakes and were willing to work with us to meet our budget. My wife had a very specific appearance she wanted for the cake and they hit it right on the mark! The cake was delicious and beautiful. All in all, a very positive experience.

We are here tonight for bread pudding. Enough said. Sacramento Pizza, Meatloaf, Crepes, well the list can go on and on but these three items listed here and the bread pudding make it worth while coming back again and again. We have our waiters and we love them, we wait to be noticed and all of the sudden a seat, bread and water and ready to pick our entree.

Ive always heard about this bakery but never tried it. Fortunately I was able to last week. My mom ordered my nieces 21st bday cake from here (chocolate hazelnut). Every one raved about it! It actually fed more ppl than we thought (+ leftover). I also tried their yellow cupcake w/choc. icing & their triple chocolate chip cookies & honestly they are AMAZING!!

This is a an expensive bakery, but well worth the money. If you get there early enough, get the morning bun. Its a cross between a cinnamon bun and a crossiant. It has an orange flavor and some glaze. Its much better than the version that comes from a can. They have coffee and tea. A small eating area inside and out. I usually get my order to go.

This place has the best cakes in town, theyre always moist and on point with flavor. The fruit basket is a great summertime item, and the carrot cake is another favorite of mine. It is more expensive, if youre used to going to the Safeway bakery, but as with most things, you get what you pay for. If you need a cake, this is the place to get it.

The ONLY place we go for our celebration cakes! The cakes are always amazing, customer service is great, and the creative team is notably talented and great with custom orders. The bakery is a Sacramento staple and well loved by everyone. Whenever theres a Freeport cake, youll get the "aah"s and "ooooh!"s! Theres even a vegan chocolate cake!

Excellent service provided for my wedding cake planning. The cake itself was what I ordered it arrived on time at the venue and was set up without issue. I do believe in "you pay for what you get" and it was worth every penny. The staff was extremely professional and I very much would recommend to anyone for their special day.
