The food is good and I really like the mongolian bbq. The cook will only say "your welcome" and enjoy :) with a smile if you thank and tip him. I gave them a 2 star because last time me and my family went maybe an hour prior to closing, they still accepted us to eat but the food wasnt fresh anymore and when we asked if the cook can make more, they said "no more food". Then while we were eating, the lady was standing by our table and she kept looking at her watch and kept looking at us eat. I felt we were being rushed to finish our food which we paid full dinner price for and they wouldnt even make anymore fresh food. I understand that we arrived an hour before they closed but I thought it was rude for her to act like that. After our second plate, we didnt even get dessert because I felt so disrespected by that lady so we ended up leaving and not tipping them. Will not be going back..I heard that Empire place down by Fair Oaks and Howe has way better customer service and the food is really good. Ill be visiting them soon when I get my chinese food cravings.

This place is garbage. For some reason, you could see all the dirt and gunk around your dining area. The design of the restaurant looks like its not made for a pleasant stay. The chairs are uncomfortable to sit in. The service was useless, most of their workers just sat around and watched the customers eat - instead of looking if the food needed a refill. Now, speaking of food, most of the other reviews say that the food selection has been poorly served. When I came there, all the food were dry, or unpleasing. The orange chicken, pork spare ribs, and other meat dishes were drenched in sauce. It was disgusting and all you taste is the flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone, even though their price is pretty cheap for a buffet, (9.99 for adults) youre better off spending that money at a fast food chain.

Honestly, the only reason we have been here is because we live so close. The customer service is horrible, dont go here expecting a greeting of any sort except "how many in your party?". I do not believe the waitresses speak much english as well as they to have no personality and do not communicate other than clearing the table and refilling drinks. As for the food sub par at most, its decent enough for a quick bit. Standard chinese food options, they do not refill the trays often and tend to run out quickly on items and dont bother to ask if they are refilling them. If you go make sure you go during peak dinner hours because at any other time would be a waste of money because like I said they do not keep trays full. Waitresses keep tables clean but the overall cleanliness of the building is poor.

Waitress & Staffs With Smile Great Food As Needed Improvement From BBQ Cook Sept. 3, 2014 at 12:00 Noontime. We had notice of big change with big smile on their faces, because of employer may had read poor Customers reviews in the past. Soft Serve ice cream is from Dairy Gold is good quality stuff. One reason I will not give 5 stars because of the cook in Mongolian BBQ needed to speak and understand English for serving your customers in America. And some protest from cook as your customers has very little rights. Cook usually use way too much oil for cooking. If cook learn more English with more Customers rights, tip-jar will fill up even faster. For Seniors; you must tell your waitress, youre senior for discount. No problem for them honor it. Around $5 off for 3 Seniors.

Go to Eastern Empire, not too much further down Howe Ave. There lunch buffet is way better, and literally only 11$ a person. Unlimited family style food and a much cleaner place. Taste of China was a disappointment after going to Eastern Empire. The utensils were stained, with crusty food, the water was dusty, (probably the cup). The meat was mushy, the food had taste, but the texture was as if the food was frozen at some point rather than fresh like Empire. The place was just dirty too. Under the table looked like a fat kid blew up! Nasty.. Again, dont settle for less, make the day awesome at Eastern Empire.. Seriously. Im never coming back unless under new management.

Not too bad for the price i guess.. salmon was a huge disappointment. Over peppered and over salted. Mashrooms are completely tastless. Hot and sour soop tastless as well. Just bunch of spice. Fried rice was cooked great. A bit too plain on taste, but perfectly cooked. Clams actually surprised me. Nice texture and taste to them. The boneless chopped ribs are too far and feel like they have been sitting there for way too long. The different varieties of chicken i tried were all pretty much the same. Chewy and felt old. I did enjoy the orange chicken. Fried shimp is ok when its still fresh. If it gets cold, impossible to peel.

The atmosphere is nice and the selection is okay. I would warn against going there in mid-afternoon. I ordered the Mongolian BBQ is just some dude on a grill heating up a limited selection of crap.The sauces are in giant, sticky squeeze bottles labeled with Sharpie. Some of the stuff I wont touch like the octopus, oysters and Sushi but I just dont like that kind of food. Dessert selection average for a buffet but with a generous fruit selection. Features soft serve ice cream including ice cream cones. Go here if you want to fill up cheaply and arent bothered by taco street vendor or roach coach sanitation.

It was so delicious everything was good everything was delicious everything was so amazing everything was so great everything was so happy everything was so cheerful I dont know if there was food or if it was I dont know man it was pretty good it was pretty damn good I tell you what it was pretty much the best good Chinese food for the price I could have found it was the best in the best of the best of the best of the best of the best of the best ever and the ice cream is on point yo I swear. I swear I swear I swear by the moon and the stars in the sky this is the best decent Buffet on how fat is it that bad

We stopped by this place after wondering around for dinner. For the price the food was DELICIOUS. and you can go back for more! It took three plates to try everything in the buffet and I still didnt try everything... They have a Mongolian BBQ too which i havent tried yet. The only disappointment was the crab. it was battered in its shell and fried. It made it messy to eat and the crab was fishy... which usually means old. The place was clean, the service was great, the food was surprisingly fresh and tastey. For a quick, cheap meal with you are hungry this place rocks!

Best Chinese buffet in Sacramento! Those other, old, bad reviews are very outdated. There sre 5 double sided lines of very tasty food. I tried many of their entries, and they were all great. The poached salmon was fresh and moist. Sushi was excellent, as was cresm cheese won tons, walnut shrimp, BBQ pork, orange chicken, shrimp with water chesnuts, bsked mussels with cheese and white sauce, and a good variety salad bar, and dessert bar with almond cookies and hot apple turnovers with soft serve ice cream. All excellent! It was all so good, I ate too much!
