I feel like my experience is not the norm, based on how many people I know loved this place, however for me, it just kind of fell flat. I was here previously years ago, when they were at their old location, and I dont remember what I got, but remembered not liking it. This time around, hoping I just chose something wrong for my palette, I decided to try again, and I was again, disappointed. I didnt dislike my food like I previously did, I just wasnt happy with it. I got the Grilled Cheese Benedict, and my eggs were way over cooked. One of them sorta oozed, not really, the other one did not at all, it was very close to basically being a hard boiled egg. The bacon was fine, the grilled cheese was fine, and I imagine, had my eggs been cooked well, it would have been a good dish (not great, I didnt see anything that would be blown me away good on the plate) but sadly no. My husband enjoyed his dish, he though it was tasty, and our friend did not, feeling the bacon was sorta okay, and not liking the texture of his pancake (he got the bacon pancakes.) Overall, our experience was just okay, and with the wait time of 45 minutes, I would rather go elsewhere.

When a place is called "Bacon & Butter," you have to go and just try it out. Found this place doing a Google Search for lunch and pretty much hit the jackpot in terms of finding an awesome cooked-to-ordered breakfast, lunch, brunch place. Our group tried out all three meal categories (flap jacks with eggs and bacon, 4 Grilled Cheese Benedict and B&B burger) for a Friday late lunch and had to be sure we got our bacon and butter fix. Bacon & Butter delivered and then some. Portions were big. Food was rich and tasty. Our table loved the fried finger potatoes! Dont come here if you are on a diet. This place can easily compete with any of the great farm-to-table breakfast brunch places in the SF Bay Area. The restaurant has a hipster country farm feel. Extensive wine, cocktail and beer menu. Unfortunately we were so full we didnt have enough room to share a dessert. There was one, of course, that had bacon and chocolate we were planning to order. Well, there is always a next time!

Well on a high note... The service is excellent, once we were seated, and the food came out really fast. However, the bacon wasnt done! If its one of your signatures why wouldnt you make sure its at least done? My strawberry pancakes came with a side of hair. Prior to finding the hair they were ok but were overly fried. The gravy wasnt seasoned at all. The bacon biscuit I ordered was tasteless. It seemed drowned by an obsessive egg and the biscuit wasnt even warm. The next order was the chicken and waffles. The waffle batter is excellent with sort of a lemony zest to it but it was thick as hell and didnt come with much butter. The biggest concern was that the description of the chicken and waffles describes that it was suppose to be a chicken breast. What we got was shriveled up unseasoned chicken tenders that were over fried and doughy!!! Well definitely be going to Tower from now on!?

From the outside Bacon and Butter looks like a legit hole in the wall (ugly rundown looking exterior) but when you walk inside its modern and open and a lot bigger. The only reason this isnt five stars is because the wait was much longer than what was quoted. We were told 45 minutes and it took an hour and a half nearly. Luckily theres another hole in the wall coffee shop on the backside of the building and a thrift shop to look at so the time passed nicely. The dishes were very unique. Like the grilled cheese isnt your typical grilled cheese. I wish they had pictures on the menu so you know what youre getting. I had the peaches and cream french toast that was super sugary but still really good. Might be a good idea to get sauces on the side. My boyfriend got biscuits and gravy that looked devine. Dont go here if youre on a diet.

The food was good, but some of the waitresses werent that friendly or welcoming they didnt check on us much. For the money we paid they could be more pleasing. I got the side combination four for 14 it was ok. My mothers signature meal was great I took a pieces of her biscuit meal. I would try it again to see how the waitress respond and to try something off the menu that is better. Oh we also didnt get asked for coffee refills, the customer service was the biggest disappointment. I experienced better customer service at IHOP or Dennys and the cost is way less. We spent 48 dollars there for two breakfast meals and coffee. The little things is what truly matters. Overall try it for yourself and I hope its a five. I honestly dont give many detailed reviews but I felt this could help be bless.

The host was very accommodating considering that our party was about 10 minutes late for our reservation. After that I can safely say that the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress came by when our food was initially dropped off and we probably wouldnt have seen her again except I told the host to send her over. The food was very good. I have no complaints over the quality of the food. Drinks on the other hand I could do without. No bottomless mimosas, so when I pay per glass I expect a reasonable proportion of champagne to orange juice. Even more disappointing the Micheladas were made with Pabst. I can say I wont be suggesting anyone to go here especially with so many other breakfast options in the midtown area.

I have dined at B&B a half dozen times now and I keep coming back for a reason. This place is worth the wait people! I enjoyed the FGT Benny (fried green tomato Benedict) and subbed the hamhock for the delicious fried chicken that would normally accompany the waffles. Our waiter offered enhancement suggestions to the meal which we gobbled up, adding avo 2 my dish sent it over the top! Everything is extremely fresh and tasty, Ive never been disappointed with what I order. My only regret would be not ordering 2 meals, one savory and one sweet - but that wont do my waist line any good ;) so if you struggle deciding, do what we do and order one of each between you and your date and share. You wont be sorry!

This place has a very hipster vibe, from the mason jars to the decor of the restaurant. I had the grilled cheese eggs Benedict. It was huge! I was only able to finish one of them and had such food coma afterwards! It tasted good but was a bit too rich which might explain my immediate food coma. The rose lemonade is so good though! I want more!! Its a must try! Server was extremely nice and friendly. It was pretty crowded for a Friday brunch but it didnt take long for a seat by the counter. They change their menu changes every week which is unfortunate because I wanted to try something my friend had when he went a few weeks ago but couldnt because it wasnt on the menu anymore.

If you are into breakfast food, any time of day, this is a good option for you. They have some other items on the meny for those who arent, but breakfast faire in their leaning. They seem to be quite popular! I had the grilled cheese benedict on my recent visit, which was an open faced take on a decadent breakfast style sandwhich. Lots of optional add-ons to customize things to your likings, as well as an option to substitute fruit for the side. They also offer a few alcoholic beverages for those who prefer that to go with their breakfast inspired food. The decor is comfortable, but it can get quite loud during their busiest times of day.
