First and foremost be aware that Five Guys is aggressively marketing itself here in California. Youll notice they like to tell themselves how great they are by filling their burger joint full of posters about their "success". Does Five Guys measure to the hype? Heres my take. The Good: Friendly service. The workers were kind and nice, however this is something that should be expected in any food service industry in California. The Mediocre: The actual food isnt bad, but it isnt absolutely great either. Im not going to go into specific detail to each ingredient. The fries are what most fans rave about, but I found them to be okay at best. The Bad: The price point is a ripoff and insult to consumers. Lets be real, if you are paying 14$ for a burger, fries and drink then you are paying too much. For that price you can go to an actual restaurant and get something bigger, and better quality for LESS. SUMMARY: Dont waste your time or money here. The service is good, the food isnt bad, but the price absolutely sucks. I can recommend several alternatives to Five guys that offer better food for less. Try Habit Burger across the street, Jacks Urban Eat next door, Red Robin, or In and Out. Each of these competitors will offer a better product with lower cost. Five Guys aggressively markets with online reviews, articles, and even in the location they advertise themselves all over. However, just because someone tells you they are good doesnt mean they are good. Two Stars: For arrogant marketing, high prices, and food that isnt on par with local competitors.

Just went here on my lunch break and they were good, not great. The best thing about five guys was the customer service and the second best would be the food. They have so much advertising stating how they have amazing burgers and food in general when in reality its not that amazing, slightly above average but I could go to In N Out and get an above average burger and fries for half the price. Which brings me to there pricing. They dont have a combo meal so everything is ordered separately. I spent 30 dollars on two "little" burgers one regular fry and one regular coke. Oh and a milkshake... thats not even two full meals. Dont get me wrong the food tasted good but not for the price... Also not sure if they offer this but they put grilled onions on the burger i prefer mine fresh... So all in all great service, good food, bad on the wallet!

I finally made it to 5 Guys (Roseville, CA) and the only thing I could brag about was the customer service. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger & it amounted to nothing more than a big burger with no good flavor or taste. It wasnt even hot. I will not be going back especially at that price. I could of made a better burger at home for less. California Burger on auburn Blvd. tops this any day. Still trying to figure out what all the fuss was about regarding 5 Guys. Apparently they started out making great burgers back in the day, but the food taste has been compromised apparently over fast growth. The fries werent anything to brag about either. Anyone giving this place a good rating will eat anything or simply dont know good burgers.

Great food, but a bit spendy for burger & fries in a sack. Had a bacon cheeseburger, medium fries, & a medium drink. Cost was $16.50. Burger was huge - 2 patties with cheese, 2 or 3 strips of bacon, grilled onions, lettuce, pickles, & sauce. Fries were also plentiful. I did wait 15 minutes for my food to come up, & they werent busy. Great to have fresh-cooked food; just not used to waiting for it. Cajun spice on the fries was fairly hot. The food ws very good, and Id come here again for a celebratory casual meal, but the cost & wait put it behind a couple other places with equally good food, lower prices, & quicker delivery.

Amazing burgers and incredible fries. The burgers are big, juicy, messy, absolutely delicious and with fresh produce. Some compare them to In N Out or other good and popular burger places. But to me, there is no comparison, top notch for me. Also, the original fries are great but their Cajun fries are probably the best fries Ive ever had. Their tasty, big size and come with plenty in one serving. Regular size could feed 2 to 3 people of needed. Recommended to anyone who wants a good meal with a big and juicy burger with great sides.

People who like these burgers must be a fan of microwave burgers, because that is exactly what their burgers taste like. Soggy squished buns that are cold, a burger that has no taste of meat and squishy vegetables. There fries are decent but nothing to brag about. The gal who was taking our order was also rude and rushed me through it. Defintly will not e back, the counter and smash burger are way better than this nasty place. I literally left angry I spend so much money on a burger that tasted like an ARCO burger!

This is what Im craving when I want a great burger! Juicy, messy, and gratuitously delicious.I love that they come with everything on them. Order yours "all the way" then add anything else you can think of ..you wont be disappointed. The only thing I like better than the burgers are the fries. Finally someone is doing them right. They are so good I would come just for the fries....look out In and Out, you just got "Tatertopped"

Five guys is compared to inn n out but five guys is way better! Inn n out burgers are dry and tasteless. Five guys has juicy burgers with fresh toppings, toasted buns, and generous amounts of delicious fries. five guys doesnt need thousand island sauce to make their burgers good. Five guys has tons of toppings to choose from and its all free! Best $5 burger around !

The burgers are fresh, but expensive. I was worried when I saw so many magazine and newspaper clippings around the building to tell us how good they are. Heck, there were ten in the bathroom alone. Let the food and service speak for itself. The brash red and white decor reminded me of In n Out and the prices made me wish I was there instead...

My husband and I recently went in there and tried it for the first time. My husband had a cheeseburger and I had a grilled cheese. He asked for two orders of fries and without asking him what size he wanted they rang him up for two large fries, (which were about 5 bucks a piece) they have small, medium, and large fries, fyi!

LOVE their burgers! Tons of toppings choices so you can have a burger the way you like it. The fries are great too and they always give you a generous portion. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. They always make your food to order so there is a bit of a wait but you know its fresh.

Great quick burger joint with quality ingredients. Can customize with a good variety of toppings. Be aware their sizes are different. A Cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger. The Little Cheeseburger has just one patty. Their Little fry can easily serve 2-3 people as well.
