Take-out tacos from the window requires that you buy for a crowd. Spicy, authentic, and irresistable-everyone will want one (three) if you are returning to a crowd with your food. Service is nothing without good food, bad service with good food doesnt much jar me, but both are very good at this hole-in-the-wall, out-of-the-way jewel. Go when youre hungry once, come back like the Pavlovian foodies we all are every time we hunger for great Mexican food.

Located in downtown Placentia in the historic part of the town, you will find this GEM of a restaurant located right on the corner. Beautifully decorated with items from Mexico creating the authentic look.This is our go-to place whenever we have guests in town. The food is Delicious and the staff is Fabulous. We have enjoyed eating here for years and will certainly continue! Amazing Sangria too, but you may have to stop at just one.

Great taco platters........the al pastor here is fantastic. Never have to wait to get a table even during lunch hour. This is a good place to bring a large group as theyre more than happy to reshuffle around tables to suit your group. The beans and rice are also really good, which is always a good metric to judge the quality of a mexican restaurant by. Theyre also good at walking around and refilling beverages consistently.

The Mariachi Guadalajara was wonderful. Although there were 4 it sounded like 8. The main singer had an amazing voice. The food however was not very good. I will return for the entertainment because it sounded professional and the musicians were very respectful and friendly. My Grandma cried when they played Ojos Verdes. Improve your food and I will be there every week instead of special occasions

Placentias best-kept secret! Very high quality food, great service and reasonable prices, all served in a clean and well-decorated environment. The Home-made sangria and horchata are outstanding, and the carnitas, chicken mole and soft tacos are absolutely delightful. We cant recommend this place highly enough!

Glad they reopened. Been here twice since, and the food is authentic and high quality. Menudo on New Years was fantastic. Tamales for Christmas were better than the home-made ones. Even an old favorite. .. Chicharones in red sauce was amazing. One down side... no lengua anymore.

I am 100% mexican and I have lived in Mexico City for almost 30 years. Trust me, this is the real thing... I liked it even better than some traditional restaurants in Mexico. Great food and great service.

High-end menu in a low end part of town. Waiters are extremely friendly and very attentive. Food is excellent and the restaurant is rarely crowded. Best choice in Placentia for a higher Mex experience.

I had the carne asada sizzling skillet today and the flavor was unreal! I love the hand painted murals on the inside, and on Sundays the mariachi band makes me feel like Im in Mexico. Love it.
