The white waiter with the hipster moustache should be terminated..Took forever to order, he brought out our kids entree with the appetizers we ordered 45 min before..Left all the food at the pass while he sat in different booths texting on the phone, playing with the iPads you order from.. Ordered a drink from the bar..By the time it came back it was so diluted from the ice as it was sitting for so long..Food comes, barely fit on the table because he never cleared it, even though all the plates had been moved to one side.. Everything was piping hot.. Indicative of his laziness, it probably had to be microwaved over and over again..Who microwaves lobster? To top it off, trying to pay was another nightmare..It took 20min AFTER OUR MEAL WAS FINISHED to finally hand him the money and get my change back..Only after I asked some blond hair idiot to get my change, did he cheerfully reply, change for you sir!..We shoulda dined and dashed as we had many opportunities to do so..In short, GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO GO SOME PLACE ELSE.. OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE EMPLOYS SELF RIGHTEOUS RACIST STAFF WHO CARE NOTHING ABOUT THEMSELVES!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!

I usually love outback, but this one has a terrible hostess at the door. My girlfriend and I pull up today (a Thursday, 7/3/14 to be exact) wanting to eat a good meal after driving most of the day. As Im walking up to the door, the hostess sees me, runs to the door, locks it, and then scurries back to her booth. This already puts me at a 8/10 on the scale of annoyed/confused. I look at the posted hours, and apparently they close st 9:30pm M-Th. I glance down at my phone to check the time and its 9:27. Closing time isnt "kick everyone out of the restaurant", its just last seating. On top of this, even if I *was* late or she just didnt want to let us in, she should have been professional about it and told us at the door. This is inexcusable behavior from an employee being paid to represent a business. I tried calling to speak with a manager, but no one would pick up inside. She deserves to be reprimanded for this, and possibly fired considering greeting people is literally her only job.

We loved the food. However, our server was another matter. After sitting in our booth for almost 15 min., I stopped a young woman sauntering by and asked for our server. She said, OH, thats me! Took our order. I had asked for a few slices of lemon in water. Received 1. Appetizer arrived. We requested ranch dressing. Almost finished, asked someone else. Dressing brought immediately by 2nd person. Two steak dinners arrived. Steaks were delicious! But, they were supposed to come with a side of vegetables. We asked server a few times. After meal was finished, she brings them! The whole time we were there, she spent time wandering around, talking to hostess. Everything except waiting on tables. There was only 1 other table in her area...and 8 top in for a birthday. Very disappointing experience. The rest of the staff was perfect. I dont think we will be returning any time soon. Thank you for your time.

Outback has gone from okay to ghetto in a matter of a few years. This is a spot where wanna be pimps and players go for an exotic shirmp/crab dinner that they pay 15 dollars for which corparate America gladly caters to these fools. I used to get hit or miss meals here when I did not feel like cooking or spending 300$ for a nice dinner out. Now it is nothing but a miss every single time. Also, I do not like being seated next to hookers and pimps with ZERO manners when eating dinner. Outback you suck. Your meals are not even edible anymore, your managers are awful, and my vanilla ice waiter kept telling me,"my bad"... Your staff is ghetto, your patrons are ghetto, and you may as well just rename it, "hookers steak house"....

7/21 update: if I could give this place less than 1 star I would. If it wasnt for the proximity to my home, and the lack of other casual dining options like it, I would avoid coming here. Same issues as before. 4 hostesses at the front more interested in having personal conversations than helping customers. Slow service. Wonder if theres even a manager overseeing this place given how bad it is. The hostesses lack common sense. Instead of seating smaller parties at tables that are available, they make everyone wait because it wouldnt be fair to seat smaller parties in front of the large party that doesnt have a table. Lame!

I ordered prime rib and it was the worst cut of meat I ever had .... came out cold, very dry ... did not have that juicy succulent flavor. Just had one bite of the PR and ate the baked potato which was good. Told the server about it, she offered to have it re-cooked but I declined coz I already lost my appetite. The salad was not fresh. The onion ring appetizer was not what I expected from the one I had before in an Outback Steakhouse in Fremont which was a real good Outback restaurant. The service was ok ... got seated right away, server was very friendly until I brought it to her attention about the food.

Its ok once in a very rare blue moon, but for most people/+95% of the time, I would recommend the Applebees right next door. Price is a bit high imo, its in the $$$ price region, while not bad, a lot of good $$ options are close by that give a good quality for money that punch above their weight, while this place tends to punch below its weight imo. Not good or bad but just imo. If you want to drop more that 50 for 2, east contra costa/vallejo/Marin arnt too far and even w/bridge toll, you still get better for same. Got more mises than hits here for me, still worth a try imo. YMMV@ the bar, I dont drink .

We come here at least once a month because we like the food, steaks in particular, when they are cooked right. Only three stars because more often than not, the steaks were not cooked to specification. Medium-rare most of the time comes more on medium-well and medium-well comes out well to very well. We usually dont complain just try our luck...and once it came out well as in jerky when I ordered a medium. When a staff asked how was our steak we did say it way too cooked and she can see that so she gave us discount, which was nice, but I rather pay full price and have it made right.

Im giving them a 3 because they are better than their next door neighbor Applebees. The only downfall is the place is overly crowded most of the time and the wait is excruciatingly long. Even when you make reservations, you still have to wait the same amount of time. The food is decent and good, depending on what you order. Im sure its just poor management or poor training that its not like other outbacks Ive been to, but if you want something familiar to eat at when youre in town, I would rather go here than Applebees.

Service excellent. Food varied. We ordered steaks medium, they came well done. Veggie medley consisted of barely cooked carrots, under cooked broccoli and ok cooked zucchini, all without a bit of flavoring. Baked potato was good. Steak had good flavor, even if over grilled. What this means is inconsistency in the kitchen....needs better quality control at the burners and grill, and somebody who knows something about flavoring veggies. (And, there was no salt or pepper at the table.)
