Over all food was okay but far from great. Last time we ordered from them we were told it would be here in 40mins. 80mins later I called, they had lost the phone apparently and then blamed me for them taking it to a vacant house at the wrong address on the wrong street (they had our address on file from previous orders + I gave it to them again when making the order). They then offered to re-deliver it, at which point I asked them if they were going to remake the food because I didnt want it if it was cold. I was told that it would take 20 mins to remake the food and deliver it as we only live a mile and a half from the restaurant. 8 mins later the delivery guy showed up with the food, quickly passed it to me and ran back to his car leaving my front yard gate open which lead to me having to chase my dogs down the street. So, open the containers and the food is old and cold. I call back and the person on the phone denies that its the same food (which only took them 8 mins to make and drive over apparently), wont refund me, and when I offer to bring the food back as I would not pay for it he tells me "no one here now, you no come". I then tell him to either refund me or I will call my bank and tell them to refuse the charges, he tells me to "call back morning, manager give refund". I call back the next day and they deny it ever happened. So if your looking for chinese food of the same quality you can get from a pick your item hot tray place in L.A. with high prices that rip customers off, then this is the place for you... p.s. dont get anything fried to go as they throw it into the styrofoam container straight from the oil and it melts into the container.

This is my go-to for Chinese food in Paso. I always come here for their lunch special as I dont like breaking the bank for dinner. Their happy family dinner is delish and doesnt cost more than a Jackson. Their food is always tasty and filling and you get free hot tea as customary. Of course with Chinese your hungry and hour later right!? (Just kidding) Im always satisfied. Service is great and staff is attentive and polite. Their revamp and expansion makes the place so much more spacious, classy and open. They have a nice bar area now. I was a little displeased to find out that they do not offer their soups to-go as Im in love with their hot & sour soup. I guess the reason was that they dont have "to go" cups. Heres a little business advice: Order some. I Had to make two trip for one meal to get my complete order. Live & learn huh. Great place, the owner is very personable, kind and patient. Great place overall.

My family and I absolutely love this place! We eat there often, my daughter was visiting from Ventura and asked to go Friday for lunch, we walked in an I was amazed! They had expanded and redecorated the entire place, its absolutely beautiful inside, not that it wasnt nice before but now its very modern and open, and bright. The food is always fresh and delicious, I recommend the pot stickers as an appetizer, made fresh daily and they are huge! My new favorite is ordering the wor wanton soup w noodles absolutely the best soup Ive tasted! The wontons are filled w shrimp so yummy! The owner is such a nice guy and everyone there is very friendly, worth a visit if youve never been, it sure beats those dirty Chinese buffets where kids are touching all the food and everything tastes the same!

There food might be good, but I would suggest not delivering if you cant do it correctly. It took well over two hours for food to even get to our house and the person delivering the food was rude and blamed us for their mistake. They charged us full price and acted as if we were at fault when they had the wrong phone number and got lost coming to our house. Will never use their delivery service again and probably wont be eating their food ever again either.

Food was served quickly in bento style boxes. Their hot and sour soup was excellent. Orange chicken done right without too much batter. The manager/ owner came to greet is after orders wed taken. The staff was very attentive. The place was unassuming from the outside but simple, modern, and elegant inside. The bathroom was a treat which is unusual for a Chinese restaurant. Im glad we found it by accident!

The hot and sour soup is to die for!! veyr very meaty flavor, great well cooked, not overdone, a meal in its self. Mongolian beef is outstanding, a little on the spicy side, meat was tender, you can cut it with a fork! Service is great, very low keyed, fairly quiet. When I am in Paso Robles, I always eat here, as the food is the best, prices are well within reason, try it you will be back like I am!

My grandparents came here almost every Sunday after church to eat and spend time talking with the owner for over 20 years. My family and I carry on the tradition by eating here or having it delivered a couple times a month, the honey chicken is my favorite and you cant beat the lunch specials and the prices. If you want great Chinese food, then this is the place. ENJOY!

The food was very good (I recomend the cashew nut chicken. Delish) The service was great all the people were polite and one the workers had a sweet little girl who ran opened the door for us. The prices are moderately high (around $10) but with the big portions and exquisite taste are definitely worth your money. I look forward to eating there again.

So this place is gross. Sorry dont waste your money. The people who rated it high, maybe havent left the county to try great Chinese food. The meat s undercooked and soggy, very low quality food. The desert bar looks like they picked it up from the dollar store. Dont bother with this place, your not missing anything but a upset stomach.

My food came in a pre-sectioned plastic red tray, but I was thoroughly impressed with my meal. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant that Ive ate at in Paso Robles. The food and portion size was perfect and the staff was very responsive. Go during lunch, as the prices are very reasonable.

Our family loves this place. Everytime we go the food is excelent, service is superb. The manager and his staff is always friendly and very attentive of our needs. My kids are such picky eaters but here we always come together with no issue at all. They have the best general tsao chicken!!

My wife and I just happoned to stop here for lunch on our way to Yosemite from Hurst Castle and felt it was an excellent choice. Great food and service - all very fresh - and for an average price. I would recomend this as a lunch or dinner stop for any in the area.

Paso Robles, you are so lucky to have one of the better chinese chefs at China Gourmet! The food is prepared well, fresh, bright in color, and not greasy at all. Jack, youre right up there with the best! Thanks for great meal. Howard, Tyna, and Zoe from Phoenix, Az.
