Stopped by for breakfast this morning and I must say its a weird location for such a place. This business screams Malibu/Santa Monica/West Hollywood:) everything on the menu is organic, fresh and house made. We ordered a tuna melt (if I see that item on a menu, I cant order anything else) and a breakfast burrito. Both delicious, especially with their hot sauce. My freshly-squeezed orange juice was served in a cute mason jar and when my husband wanted his coffee to go, they just brought a new cup of coffee for him. Nice move. The staff is very sweet and the place is absolutely adorable, I wish they had a bathroom though, I like washing hands before I eat. All in all whenever Im in that part of the valley I know where to go for breakfast or lunch.

Update 9/2015. Humble Bee has expanded and now has a much bigger restaurant. They are still the best! Finally - a great restaurant with fresh food in Lake Balboa. My only complaints are that I wish they were open earlier and I wish that they were open longer! Ive been here a few times and their food is fresh and wonderful. Ive had their croissant, the pancake breakfast sandwich (yum!) and the biscuits and gravy. All were top notch quality food. Oh they have great juice too. I wish we had more restaurants like this in lake balboa. Now that they might be open earlier I might be able to get there more often too :)

Super cute, which was unexpected bc of its location. Went on Sunday for brunch. You dont get a paper menu, its about 10 dishes to choose from thats on a chalkboard. Which is awesome so you are not overwhelmed with lots of choices and indecisive. I gave it 4 stars only bc of the wait time. I think my bf and i waited 30 mins to get in bc the place is so small. But in the end the food was super good. We started with fresh squeezed orange juice and lavender pink lemonade. For our breakfast we got eggs Benedict and a mushroom omelette. Both very tasty. The prices were very reasonable as well. The staff was quick and friendly.

One of the best, if not the best, places for breakfast and lunch. I have brought my girlfriend and my family here. Humble Bee is one of the few gems one can find in the valley. The owners have been expanding ever since they have opened and that is because of their fantastic food and service. They specialize in serving all organic meals ranging from their meals to their desserts and even their drinks are organic. They even have a homemade habanero sauce, which must go on everything you eat. I cant explain how great this place is. Every menu item is a must try.

Its different, for sure. My friend loves this place because of the organic and pretty healthy fare. I like it, but the menu changes almost every, if not every day. I can usually find something I like, though. Wait time for a table can be a bit long when youre really hungry, sometimes. Its a bit expensive for my taste, too, but I think that goes with healthy and organic still, unfortunately. But it is really good food and the people who work here are SO NICE! Definitely worth a try if youre in the area.

This place belongs down on the westside, but thankfully it is up in the valley so I can stop for lunch during the workweek. Absolutely fantastic handmade food (including the bread, my favorite part). Im not a vegan or hard-lined when it comes to organic foods, non-gmo, etc., and the fine people here arent judgemental. They just make good food, serve it with a smile, and we all go home happy. That being said, the food is really, really healthy and good! Go here. Youll enjoy the meal and experience.

This place has high quality ingredients and great tasting food. It can really get a bit costly, so keep track of what your ordering. They also have some great unique drinks like tea and lemonades. Its a great breakfast spot and a GREAT LUNCH SPOT! Everything is really delicious and it leaves you wanting more. The staff is very friendly and the cooks do their thing on the kitchen! My favorite thing to eat is the tuna melt with dill... DILL is absolute genius!

My favorite of Humble Bee Bakery isnt that the food and service is great. Its that it doesnt seem to be overrun by a huge number of fans that necessitate a long wait time. The menu seems to stay fresh and in tune with the season. I had the salmon cakes recently and really enjoyed the mix of flavors not typical in most brunch spots. The coffee was just fine, but maybe thats because it was just drip coffee.

This place is super rad. Its a little hidden gem in a borderline Van Nuys/Lake Balboa/Northridge strip mall that serves great pastries and Sunday Brunch. I went here for Sunday Brunch and got an Americano (Groundworks Coffee) and a Short Stack with Fresh Fruit. It reminds me of the little cafes in SF Im used to with a cool hipster/country atmosphere. I hope the area gets more places like this!

This is my absolute favorite place to brunch in the valley. I was delightfully thrown off when i first went there. I use to live down the street and when I walked in there for the first time, I felt like I was at Santa Monica or somewhere other than the valley. The staff is very friendly and the food is just amazing. They recently renovated and now have more dining area.

Real, healthy, delicious food. The ingredients mostly seems to come from the local farmers market, so everything is very fresh. The people are friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that it is a bit loud when crowded (but hopefully that will change when they expand), and I wish I could get breakfast all day, because the breakfast menu is amazing.

I order the Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. Very delicious! The presentation was good and I enjoyed my breakfast very much. No complaints at all. They accommodated our seating when we asked and the service was sincere. Would definitely recommend anybody to come here if you want a quality breakfast that is not too heavy and for a good price!

I was happy to finally find a cute breakfast place that didnt look like someones old dining room... The whole theme of the place is adorable, the food was really goood, and the customer service was so great! We highly recommend it! We cant wait to come back and maybe take some pro photos for them too!

This place has friendly service and very good food. Its specially good for breakfast and some of the lunch salads are unique and delicious. The sandwiches are also excellent although some are a bit on the large size. Dont let the little grungy strip mall theyre in scare you away.

We were looking for a place to eat before touring Northridge State with our daughter. I had Eggs a la Pomodoro and they were delicious! Daughter had veggie omelet. It was nice to have a green salad or potato option at breakfast. We will go again if we are down here.

The Humble Bee is a hidden gem in our neighborhood. We go with our two young boys (2 and 7 months) every weekend for breakfast. They offer a fresh, organic seasonal menu that we absolutely love with friendly service and homey decor. Love love love this place.
