We went here for a burlesque show last night FRI 6/27/14 and was very excited about the show. Our excitement was dampened by the horrible service. The bar tender was awesome and funny...but as we sat at our table after 20 minutes no one came to see if we needed anything we wanted to order drinks and food...but ended up going to the bar for our drinks and to ask if someone could come take our food order...that took another 20 minutes. we moved our seats so that we could see the show better...and the same neglect happened. I actually saw two waitresses going around checking on tables and actually looked at us twice but never came. They failed to even ask us if we were okay. Too bad cause my cousins and I are big tippers with good service. I offered a tip to the bartender, but waitresses got zip. All our drinks were ordered at the bar and the only time anyone came to our table was to remove dirty dishes or bring us a bill. Any drinks we had, we had to walk over and get ourselves. The bar tender was apologetic when I told this to him and offered me a free drink on him. Despite his kindness...no one came to our table to ask if we needed anything...ever. The show was decent...but the service for us was crap. I dont know if us being in the back or African american had anything to do with it but regardless...I probably wont be going back to this place.

This place is very impressive and fun. There are 3 bars all together. One right as you walk in from the front door with a very nice display menu of what beers are available surrounded by several tables to which you must make reservation or wait to be seated for food. There is very little sitting or standing room if you are not there to eat. Towards the back area youll find bar #2 and its just the same as the front bar, if you dont have dinner reservations for a table or booth youll find yourself standing by the bar or sitting if you happen to find an open spot. The decoration and feel of the place is very interesting, has a modern look and at the same time it gives you that Old style feel. The booths at the back area are very intimate with candles and there is also a small lounge sitting area. Various events are held at this place, Comedy night, Jazz night, Club/Dance night (held at the read upstairs floor) as well as private events like birthday gatherings if you book in advance. I suggest to check the web site for current events and details as it might change form time to time. Overall, despite the lack of sitting area if you are not there to eat, I very much like this place and I would like to come back to experience other events at different nights of the week,.

I am a fan! Ive wanted to try this place out and so glad I finally got the opportunity. I went on a Monday night and was super excited they had live music. There are not many places to sit and lounge but its a pretty decent size for standing guest. I liked the fact they served food until late. I tried their friend chicken and biscuit sliders and house fries. Enjoyed them both, but would have preferred a cranberry marmalade or something sweet on the biscuit as the gravy provided didnt have much flavor. The fries were fries...fantastic! The drinks are a little pricey. $12 for a signature cocktail. I had the Flawless which was Grey Goose Pear Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower, Fresh Lime Juice and Prosecco. It was both refreshing and tasty. It also provided a nice little buzz 2 in. I LOVED the music it was a great vibe to just drink and chat. There was a $10 cover so not sure if thats every night or just this special event so check to see whats going on if you arent looking to pay. They also have a very convenient lot nearby thats only $3 for valet. There is street parking around but its far and few especially for the busy neighborhood.

The vanilla manhattan was great! I went here because I heard they had good poutine. It sounded good on paper: fries, gravy, short rib and an egg. At first it was pretty good, but when you get to the bottom, all the Parmesan and whatever oils they used had settled. This made scraping up the last bits of short rib unbearable. The Parmesan does not pair well with this dish. It would have been better if the fries were plain and a little more crisp. This way the flavor pairs better and the fries soak up the gravy a little slower. The "hot chicken" sliders werent hot at all. Temperature wise, they were great. Spice wise, it was more of a sweet glaze. Serving it on biscuits is charming, but I didnt care for it. There were other dishes I would like to try, so I would go back to attempt to increase the average star rating.

I watched a bartender make a man the WRONG drink .. when the man told the bartender he was made the WRONG drink the bartender responded & said "oh I know but is it okay ?" .. never have I ever heard/seen a server completely mess up an order and expect a costumer to be OKAY with it . The bartender had an attitude when he had to make the proper drink that the costumer had initially asked for . Me & my friend got 2 shots from the bartender ... later in the night we went back to the bar & got the same order of 2 shots .. but this time it was from a different bartender & $2 cheaper ... the bartender who made the incorrect drink also decided to add a tip in for his self by charging us $2 more than the actual price . It was 90s night & this horrible bartender had a beard .. dont know his name . He shouldnt be serving people .

Face it. You come for the atmosphere first. That said, the food is quite good. In fact, this place is easily the best gastropub in NoHo. And Service has definitely improved since it opened. We love the beer selection (except that blueberry beer the servers seem to push; tastes like blueberry muffin mix and not something I want in my beer). Kudos should be paid for Federals attempts at vegan-friendliness. Just dont forget to ask them to hold the mayo and cheese on your vegan burger or dog. For some inexplicable reason these non-vegan condiments sometimes come with what is labeled vegan. A final note: Watch the calendar and dont miss live entertainment -- jazz, comedy and house music are among recently showcases -- in the restaurant for the cost of your meal or upstairs for a cover.

Bar/Lounge/Club review First time here and its a Saturday night! Entry is off of Lankershim and everything is on the second floor. Entry is $10 (got here around 10ish)...the place wasnt popping till 11:30pm. One plus is that they have an outdoor patio for smokers and dancers that are overheating! The ladiess restroom have three stalls, so the wait wasnt bad. Negatives, the restroom is stuffy and small. They had about 3 bartenders tonight. When we got our drinks, I can tell the bartender was stressed since he was yelling at my friend saying we were confusing the order. I am damn sure we werent drunk and that the bartender was just getting overwhelmed with the crowd. My poor friend. As for the crowd, it had a good mix (hippie) and the age group seemed late 20s to early 30s.
