I wasnt sure what to expect here. My friend had recommend we go here for some BBQ. One thing he said was that they use the same spice on all their food, so I wasnt sure what to expect. We sat down around 6:30, and ordered some food. - Beef, meat is tight, and has a lot of tendon that is hard to chew. - Chicken, safe with this one. - Chicken wings, delicious We also ordered some mushroom, eggplant, and chives, and they were good. The spice on the food does taste the same, but each food still has its own distinct flavor. I think after awhile though, you start to feel that the food is tasting a little salty. Servicewise, it started out okay, but became horrible. The first person (guy) took our order and food started to come out in 5 mins. The place was almost full at the time. Once we were done, we decided we wanted a few more things, and asked to order again. The second person (lady) did not look like she wanted to take more orders. She told us it would take a long time. She came back with a pad and pen and took our few orders. She told us some of the things would take a long time (little did we know). So, half an hour later, we started getting a couple of the orders, and it trickled out a little. An hour later, we finally got the chicken wings we wanted. So, the first time we sat down, it took 5 mins to get food out, and when we wanted to order again, it took 30 mins to 1 hour to get all the food. So, word of advice, make sure to order all you think you can eat on the first order, or be prepared to sit there waiting for a long time. Its worth a try at least once though.

As a Chinese I can clearly see some culture gap here. Most reviews I see (including those on yelp) are fixating on the service or the environment or the wait but the food - or even the food, but most bad reviews do not get the point of this place. The point is that the BBQ is tasty; the level of smoky flavors, right mixture of spice and cumin, like a definition of skewer BBQ. In China, you enjoy BBQ skewers at the little stalls or food truck (not actually a truck but much smaller) at road side, or in dark and gloomy small places at night; people drink, talk, and laugh and have fun, no one cares about the environment or wait or what except the food (and beer). None of those place are clean and well decorated, nor do they have the best service, just like how TLT BBQ looks like here. I respect those who do not appreciate this place, and I am not saying everyone should, but I am definitely coming back here a lot - in fact I have already done that. The best place about this is it gives the best skewer bbq I have had in bay area, even better than Yangs chief in Cupertino.

Spin-off of TLT BBQ in Fremont; the original owner of the spin-off was from TLT and Im guessing they had a falling out. Same street food skewers as TLT BBQ but spicier. The restaurant itself is smaller, and the service is lacking. But honestly, lacking service in Chinese restaurants isnt exactly surprising. You come in, make your order, eat, then go. Make sure to order enough for each person, because the servers were known to get disgruntled if you order again after the initial order. Again, do not come here for the service, only for quick, spicy, and tasty skewers.

I was tired of the same food over and over again, so I decided to try this place tonight. I loved their menu. Great picture to help those chinese inclined. Tons of skewered options from bbq sliced bread to lamb. Ill prob ask for the sweet corn not to have spices on it next time, but it was enjoyable.

Horrible experience . We were literally mistreated just because we are not Chinese. I would never recommend this place . The owner lady seemed very rude and had no sense of customer service . We walked out without eating at this place
