Its a great place, however its difficult not to make comparisons between the Patch and CA Organics I love the restaurant and terrace area... But I can eat outside at the Patch too, I guess you could say its a sentimental favorite there is no overcrowded parking lot or salad bar or checkouts... This place gets you in and out the parking is a breeze and while busy its always a nice pace the whole Sierra College Drive and Dr. Offices with Sierra College itself make BP daunting at lunchtime not so with CA Organics... Depends what you need and how much time you have...

Took out of town family to eat...the food was delicious as usual but the service was awful. One order was wrong but our daughter in law declined to make a fuss. The waitress was more interested in her earrings than serving us. After eating and giving her the credit card for payment we waited and waited and finally had to ask for the bill to sign for it. That might, just might, have been understandable if it had been crowded but there were only three tables occupied. Its a shame because we love the food.

After my second visit here while once again in the area for work, 1.5 years after the first visit, I am still thoroughly impressed with California Organics. This is one of the best, most friendly, and coziest places to get a truly delicious meal made conscientiously from sustainable ingredients. The staff are wonderful, and the food reflects their skill, attention to detail, and care they put into their work and customers. Highly recommended!

Food was delicious but service awful.....it was my daughters birthday and we had to ask for water refills, silverware, sugar, dessert menus...I had to get up and get some of those things because they were forgotten..I asked for a candle for my daughters cake and it was also forgotten.....she ordered a soup and it was never brought to us but was listed on my bill....

Overpriced and expensive for second rate poorly prepared food. This could be an asset to the poor selection of edible food in Nevada City and Grass Valley. Somehow the owner chooses to let it deteriorate. Decent ambiance and live music, It really disappoints. The $15 Burger was overcooked and dry and the fries were soggy and greasy.

Lets give em a 3.5 star rating. Ive only eaten at their organic restaurant, which was a bit pricey with small portions, but Hey! where else can you find an organic restaurant North of Sacramento and South of Ashland, OR? Havent bought anything at their adjacent natural foods store, but the salmon looked excellent.

In a whole the restaurant and the store are absolutely wonderful. The people are helpful, very kind, and up lifting. The store is straight up the real thing. No wondering whats what. Thats why it may be a tad more expensive, but its worth it. Thanks California Organics

Grocery store: not impressive produce at all for really high prices. Lots of organic choices of all items, but high prices meant I wasnt going to try something I may not have finished. Good in a pinch for a one or two item stop.

California Organics is a produce, health, resteraunt, deli, grocery in one with an excellent selection. A bit priceyer than the supermarket. Second only to The Briar Patch in Nevada County.
