What a great little cafe! Being from Minnesota, I miss Caribou Coffee, but I found a new cafe here in Cali, and its Pearl. Mochas that stomp Starbucks and Peets, and they have bubble teas, free wifi and they also have a great menu, too. I have no idea how the kitchen whips up Japanese style cuisine like chicken katsu or udon just as fantastic as common Hawaiian foods like loco moco and Spam musubi, but they even do a great upscale diner quality burger with curly fries. They just do, lol. Like any small business, though, the heart is the staff. If it wasnt for them being friendly, quick with a smile or laugh and super hard working, this place wouldnt be what it is. I know this review seems a little lopsided, but its just the truth. What can you do when they dont give you a reason to gripe? Haha.

Pearl Cafe is a treasure hidden in the far corner of San Antonio shopping plaza. Weve past it so many times but finally went in for dinner one day. To my surprise, its own by a taiwanese lady who was super friendly. Many items on the menu are familiar to my native taste buds. Bf and I got some udon, crispy chicken, fried cuttlefish, and sweet potato fries. We also got some pearl tea and I liked that I could customize the amount of sugar (just like in Taiwan!) The place is very simple and casual and great for coffee with friends or a simple dinner. Next time someone wants to meet up for coffee Id definitely suggest this place. Sorry Starbucks, youve been ousted in Mountain View!

Definitely a relaxing spot for college students or for those that want some solitude with good food to charge their brains. I ordered the loco moco and enjoyed each bite; however, the mac salad side was very bland. I was thinking it must be because the loco moco was flavorful, so keeping the mac salad would even out the flavors. The matcha bubble tea was exactly how I liked it - full of matcha goodness. Some boba shops use powdered matcha, but the matcha milk tea here tasted freshly brewed with a tbsp of milk. I liked the atmosphere here and service was decent, but its not very clean. Ample parking in front for those wondering.

From someone who calls Hawaii their home, I was excited to see all the local favorites. Unfortunately the menu is limited for vegetarians, and not readily open for vegans. The vanilla latte I ordered was surprisingly great with smooth consistent foam and a bold espresso. My egg and cheese bagel was perfect; melted cheese, fresh scrambled egg, and bagel with slight crisp outside and soft centered. Great quiet environment with high ceilings and low volume music, perfect for studying or conversation with an old friend.

Hawaiian food and boba together in one place? Thats one amazing combination! I am a big fan of their spam musubis and rice bowls. They also have some brunch food too! Their boba tastes great and they sometimes have seasonal specials like a red velvet milk tea or matcha green tea. They are always trying something new which I appreciate! They offer fresh milk in their drinks which is an added plus! Their avocado smoothie is also a must try.

Pearl Cafe has hands down some of the BEST FOOD I have ever had in my entire life and its always a treat to go there. From burgers to shrimp to pasta, its all fantastic. And dont even get me started on the boba tea drinks. They have some of the most unique flavors around and Im always excited to try a new one. The rice is outstanding. It is so good that I ordered a side of white rice on the side with my pasta dish. What a treasure!

5 stars for free wifi, relaxing decor and plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Good boba tea, fruit drinks and a broad food menu. Had a rice bowl once and it was decent, but they have a big menu so I cant rate the food. I havent had the coffee or burgers or hawaiian food, but they have that stuff. My new place to hang out with a laptop! I would totally go here to study, if I still had to do that.

We came by for lunch and ordered two hawaiian bbq chicken. My order came with 4 pieces of chicken, 2 scoops of rice, and 1 scoop of macaroni. The hawaiian food here tastes better than L&L and seems to be better bang for the buck. Neither of us was able to finish our orders and we had enough leftovers for another meal. The leftovers tasted just as good after we heated it up for dinner.

Awesome for office catering. Inexpensive, super delicious, fast, and they deliver to mountain view for a $10 fee. For 25 people, we get 15pcs each of the chicken, beef, and short rib, 25 scoops of macaroni salad, 10 scoops white rice, 5 mexican salads, and 2 orders of pepper (popcorn) chicken. Total is about $260 delivered before tip.

Pearl Cafes pearl drinks are very mediocre. Ive ordered the milk green tea and they can replace the powder milk with real milk. 5 stars for that. They are stingy with the pearls. I think my drink had about 10 pearls all together. 0 stars for being el cheapo. Overall, taste wise, its ok. The cost is about $3-$4. Edit Remove

I only recently discovered this place but I come here often. I usually order there or I use DoorDash. Their chicken katsu is delicious, my coworkers agree as well. The only downside is the sauce that comes with the chicken katsu is not as good as the one at L&Ls. I also like the fact that this place sells milk tea! :)

I had a Hawaiian bbq chicken bowl for breakfast and my son had a warmed breakfast. The staff is great and incredibly accommodating. The amount of food in one bowl was enough to feed two. The coffee is excellent and the cups are practically spill proof. Im so glad I picked this spot for breakfast!

I am not a regular coffee drinker, but my girlfriend LOVES her latte and is quite picky about what is actually a good latte. Pearl is one of the few places she really likes in the area. Nice atmosphere, convenient location if youre thinking about doing shopping afterward of ANY kind.

Hawaiian offerings (many with SPAM), bubble tea, and an American menu! The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Plenty of easy parking. But the food is way too salty and the portion sizes are way too large for people trying to eat a healthy diet.

Good boba with interesting flavors. I like how its a restaurant mixed with a cafe, so theres lots of space and tables if you want to stay for a meal. The boba is generally priced around $3.50, but I recommend trying the seasonal specials/secret menu items

While the prices are good, the food items are not as savory as I expected. The boba tea is not nearly as good as the popular boba places. The food doesnt taste exceptional. One redeeming quality though, is their wide selection of food items.

Im originally from orange county California. While I was here on business for more then a year I discovered this place. I am back in oc but my fiance and I occasionally make the 5 and a half hour drive to visit and for this food.

Great little place for some island food. I really enjoyed the spam musubi. I got loco moco with chicken katsu, pretty happy. The wait was long though, we were waiting on a catering order along with the rest of the patrons.
