I have been going to La Fiesta since 1974 when I was 14 and a freshman at Low Altos Hogh, I am 54 now and I can honestly say, it is one of the only things that I can depend on to be consistently the same since then. The Chile verde burritos taste exactly the same. The restaurant has grown considerably since the days when it was just a small space with a few booths and the floor of black and white lioleum squares to taking over the adjoining spaces one by one over the years, and the kids have all grown, some having gone on to open restaurants of their own. Its nice to see Lucy every time Im in the Bay Area and I return to eat there. In this world where everything you love gets"improved" and usually ruined, its nice to have one thing I can count on to be the same.

Ive been coming here for lunch for years. So much so that they generally dont even offer menus to me and the guys I lunch with. I generally have an a la carte Fiesta burrito (vegetarian) with Grandmas sauce and thats plenty as they serve a coffee cup of broth/soup and, of course, chips. The place is a little rundown and, because of the mostly bare walls and high ceiling, fairly noisy but its a good place to meet up with friends for lunch and talk (the noise provides an element of privacy). Is it an amazing Mexican restaurant? I dont think so. But they have good mole, good grandmas sauce, good salsa and on a cold, rainy day a huge bowl of their tortilla soup really hits the spot and thats a big part of the reason we keep going back.

Great hidden gem in the Old Mountain View neighborhood. Super family friendly - theyve got plenty of high chairs and dont mind the little ones running around. The water fountain outside can keep a toddler entertained for a long time! Chips & salsa are quick to arrive, fresh and crunchy. Service is relatively quick and food shows up hot. If you enjoy margaritas, La Fiestas hit the spot. We had 2 pitchers for 4 adults and finished every last drop. Food is consistently good. Great place for families to go for a fun night out!

My husband and I loved the food. We ordered a vegetarian fiesta. It was a little too heavy for dinner. I would suggest you go for lunch instead. I love the rice, the burrito and the beans. Taco Bell, Qdoba and most of these mexican restaurants have brought down the taste of real mexican food. if youre hungry and want delicious food, id suggest you go here. However, keep in mind its a little pricey. Around 11 bucks for a burrito but its really good!

I have been coming here for years. These days, it is mostly for lunch interviews of potential employees. Lunch time is pretty crowded and can get a little noisy, but I prefer the activity to silence! I have had the mole chicken more times than I can count...absolutely delightful..and in the past have actually ordered a veggie burrito and poured the mole sauce on top. I have a thing for mole, and some places really jack it up. Not here!

How can anyone call this "authentic Mexican food"? The enchiladas I ordered were the worst I ever had. The prices are outrages. My wife had the chicken soup that had avocados?!!! WHAT??? Slices of avocados and overkill on the amount of cilantro they put in it. NO ITS NOT FANTASTIC! Do not recommend or just try it yourself and youll be regretting the amount of money spent on garbage. I should of bought some frozen dinners.

Food was great service was terrible!! I dont know why service was terrible we were the only table in there at the time. I did notice the the waiter was eating; shoveling food in his mouth in a hurry when i had gone up and asked where my drink was. The host was not that friendly either. He acted like we were bothersome when we asked for our waiter. Even though the food was good I dont think Ill be back.

Service was very bad. Food was average but expensive for Mexican. No water refills, no margarita pitcher refills offered. Waiter only came once during the meal. My husband asked for some lettuce and cheese for his fajitas and he was told they dont have that there. I got a taco that had lettuce and cheese on it! The taco was so soggy that I could only eat the meat with a fork. Overall, Im not impressed.

Went there for the first time on a recommendation and liked food. I am very picky food eater and I ordered chicken enchiladas with grandmas sauce on one and a red sauce on the other. Both sauces were very good and complemented each other. Also, tasted their fiesta flan. Not the best flan I have had but decent. Will add it to my list of favorites for mexican food in bay area.

- Grandmas sauce enchilada - an orange colored cheese sauce. The shredded chicken was pretty tender and moist. - Beef crunchy taco - large chunks of beef that were juicy and tender, served with lettuce, salsa and a slice of tomato - Refried beans were very good - Rice is soft and moist You might have to wait during dinner hour. It was around 15 min for our party of 3.

Excellent Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown mountain view. If you love mole or chile Colorado, you wont be disappointed. Go for the plates or house specials, and skip the burritos as they are just a tortilla wrapped around your meat choice with a side of rice and beans. Still, the meats are awesome and the bar is excellent as well.

Told the waiter that it was our anniversary, they sat us and then didnt offer drinks. It was nearly an hour before they came to take out order and the food came wrong. Complained to the manager who simply said "sorry" and walked away. Ive been other times with large groups and theyve been okay. I wouldnt go again on my own, though.

Awesome. Great old family run place. Waitresses have been there for 30 years and they are still hot. The food is perfect. Salsa selection with free chips are also really good. Top notch chile rellenos. Lots of other special items like seafood, mole, etc. Good tequilas if you are into that. The place has loud acoustics!!!

Pretty decent Mexican food but the service was lacking. Our group waited for well over five minutes before anyone even took down our name for a table; we had to flag down a waiter or host who looked visibly annoyed when "greeting" us. Service was a bit better during the meal but not great. The carne asada tacos were good though.

This is my favorite Mexican place. The margaritas never disappoint, and the food is consistent. Dont load up on the chips and salsa, although its tempting because the chips are excellent and there are three salsas to dip in. For entrees, I recommend the spicy shrimp enchiladas, and also the chile verde (little-to-no fatty bits).

I love spicy, flavorful Mexican food, not the boring burritos and enchiladas found at so many Mexican restaurants. La Fiesta delights immediately with the three spicy salsas served with chips before the meal, and my pollo tapatillo was fantastic. Being a few blocks off Castro, it has more of a down-home feel, very pleasant.
