Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. I normally avoid Mexican cuisine, but decided to give it a shot and I am glad I did. We ordered the Camarones Xochitl - sauteed shrimp, and the grilled mahi mahi. But my favourite definitely was the Caldo De Pollo soup. I have no previous experience with Mexican food to compare it with, but it had that wow factor for me. 4.5 stars really - I would have rated it five stars if not for the cheese that overpowered my sauteed shrimp dish. Our server was pleasant and attentive and I liked the ambience - a relaxed vibe with character. Overall, a great dining experience.

My experience here was not great! I waited about 10 minutes before the waiter realized I was seated. I debated leaving, but decided not too because I really wanted to try their food. After I ordered my food, it arrived within 5 minutes. I like fast service, but this was awkwardly fast. Too fast for the proper quality of a sit down restaurant. The waiter never touched base with me after he took my order and I waited about 15 minutes after I was done eating to get my bill. I went to sign the check and a bug came running out from the receipt. After that, I felt sick to my stomach.

I cant fault the service here; the staff are excellent. We were a very large group, and they were extremely patient and helpful when it came to advising me with my order. The food itself was good, though I didnt love it and this may be due to my ignorance of Mexican food in general. We shared a starter that while delicious, was essentially melted cheese in a dish. I ordered enchiladas and the portion was so gigantic that I hardly made a dent in them, but I felt that they lacked flavour and was a little disappointed by them.

Confused restaurant. Decor like La Bamba burrito shop with TVs blaring sports and glass top tables. Food and prices is more like Viva Sol on El Camino. The special was quite good: imaginative and tasty. Not your usual Mexican fare! Hard to justify the price for the somewhere that feels like hotel sports bar. Note: only vegetarian option is Chile Relleno. This will limit how often we go. Fiesta Del mar has amazing drunken veggie fajitas, better decor, same margarita list and better prices.

If you were a fan of Fiesta Del Mar on Shoreline Blvd (bull-dozed for development), don’t despair. You will find many of the same staff, as well as your favorite menu items, downtown in Agave. In the party room you can even dine among the fishes that decorated the wall of Fiesta Del Mar. What do I love? The Chile Relleno — as delicious as I remembered. Nice patio for outdoor seating on a pleasant evening. Prices have been creeping higher, but the staff, food, and atmosphere are great.

So glad that we live in downtown mountain view! We used to eat at their restaurant Fiesta Del Mar right off of 101 freeway that has been closed due to a large office building going in. Now we dont have to get in the car to experience their continued wonderful food. Chips and salsa are to die for. Chicken Burrito and Chili Verde are the best. Atmosphere is perfect and if you love tequila then this place is for you. They also have a fantastic Happy Hour! We will return again and again!

Very accommodating for a large group, we had the back room for our party which was very colorful and sat 25 guests very comfortably. They let us bring in our own party favors and birthday cake and they kept the chips, guacamole and margaritas flowing! I enjoyed their special family recipe, the enjocodada - which was chicken breast in a sour ream chile sauce. The portion was very large plus I had filled up on appetizers and ships, and could have easily shared

This is a fun, party of 20 friendly place... they kept us topped up on drinks and werent shy of bringing out lots of nachos while we were reading the menus. I ordered the veggie mole enchiladas which were tasty though maybe a little too spicy for me. For dessert, we had some Tres Leches Cake - which was a first for me. For those uninitiated like me, its a cake soaked in milk so its dense and very moist. Definitely worth trying if you havent had it before!

Worst food ever. Should of known better when the menu was presented, it was stained and soiled with food.I didnt want to even touch it. I was only there as I couldnt get seated in the other 2 Mexican restaurants in the area. Ordered a $15.00 shrimp burrito. The shrimp in the burrito were the tiny canned ones, and they were burnt. The waiter did his best, have to say the drinks were good. So if you are just going for $$drinks, chips & salsa its ok.

Hot tip: Dont fill up on the corn chips, salsa & guacamole before the main meal comes out! I made this mistake as I was really hungry, but then couldnt fit in all my main meal. Rookie error. The melted cheese appetiser we had was amazing. The service was great, considering the large size of our group. They were very accommodating with us bringing in themed decorations and cakes as we had a few occasions to celebrate.

Food is good and the back patio is beautiful, but this place needs work. For example, its hard to get silver ware and napkins.. food arrives but nothing to eat it with. happens every time we go. I asked for the manager when it happened on a second visit and he said it was due to wind that the tables werent set. Also came for a ladies night out and they would not turn on outside heaters.

This place is a compromise between good ingredients and classic Americanized Mexican cooking. The fish I had was good but heavily seasoned. The vegetables cooked perfectly and not over done. The beans rice and chips all felt better suited at an Azteca. If you need to find good Mexican style food for a larger group of differing tastes, this is a smart option.

Not the most authentic Mexican food (a little disappointing in California) and the chips are most certainly store-bought but the service was more than accommodating. I was with a large group celebrating a birthday and the wait staff was constantly refreshing our drinks and attentive to our needs. Would recommend for drinks and large parties.

This is a good place for Mexican food in mountain view. My colleagues enjoyed it more than I did. I reckon they might have given it four stars. Im giving it three because I thought my main dish was good, but not great. It had so much cheese that I couldnt taste the rest of the ingredients. The service and beers were good though!

Jolly atmosphere and nice staff, balanced out with uneven food. We were a big and loud party and they were very good about it, catering well to all our needs. However, my fish tacos were a little greasy, and so were the chips they brought us before the meal. Really liked my hibiscus mojito though; boozy but still refreshing.

The staff was so accommodating for our large and rambunctious group - friendly, helpful, and great service. The food was quite good (I enjoyed my tacos el yaqui) and the margaritas were on point. The portions were small enough not to overwhelm, allowing you room to enjoy the chips and salsa before the meal.
