The atmosphere in the restaurant is perfect. Nice music and clean table wares. Service is average. BUT the star of any restaurant has to be the food which, at Honey Pig 2.0, is what I find very lacking in taste and quality. While the price tag seems pretty good for an average Korean barbecue restaurant, the quality is just not there. First, lets start with the sides because that is what you will have to walk up and get it yourself in a buffet style which is fine. There are typical Korean sides such as kimchi, rice, mash potatoes, etc. what strikes me the most is the fried chicken which is stone cold. Kimchi tastes like it is bought from a store that comes in a plastic jar container. Moving on to the meat which is very lacking in consistency. Brisket sometimes come with extreme amount of fat and no fat at all. Beef short ribs are very tough like rubber. Beef galbi came in a very strange condition. The beef itself is charred and seems like it has been partially cooked once before it was served. Overall, the restaurant fails to highlight the most important thing, the food.

For the $17 price tag, I think you are getting a good value. Big selection of marinated and unmarinated beef, pork , chicken, and seafood. A pitcher of beer is only $10 with blue moon included. Self serve salad bar. This will be a regular spot for me when I want kbbq and beer.

Im really surprised why this place is so quiet. There is a wide variety of meat and cooked Korean sides. The quality of meat is great and 16.99 per pax for a buffet dinner is really really a great deal! Definitely a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by more!

My impression of these place, first time walked in makes me feel GREAT, clean and neat place, comfortable to enjoy their great supply of meat, I love those beef. Their salad bar are well prepare, nice and friendly waiter and waitress, worth to visit again.

This place is hidden. Other then the lack of staff this place is not bad. The steak was the best part also, the Korean wine was not bad. Kept the bottle since I am ghetto. For the price and location of this place, quality of food. I give it four stars.

Looking for anyplace open on xmas day, we found this cheap place. Still hate the salad bar banchan setup, but it was mostly good. The cabbage kimchi was so good, it was almost like mine. The server was good & so was the food.

Everything was good including service . Bill came with suggested tip scale printed at the bottom witch made it easier to add the bill up . Preferred this place over some road kill place in Alhambra .
