This is our second visit here. First time we tried having dinner, we were waiting in the lobby without being help . We waited about 10-15 min, we ended up living. They seemed more worried about the special catering eventand completely forgot about the walkin guest. Second visit we were attended right away. However, once we greeted and seated. We waited a good 10-15min just for them to drop off their courtesy chips, which by the way were very stale and the salsa was not so good. Than waited another 10-20min just to for a server to attend us to get out drinks. My husband ordered a Cadillac drink which was okay, I ordered the supposedly spicy mango margarita and the presentation of the drink was so off, only chili on this drink was less than inch long from the top ring my drink- I personally love when my drinks are presentable that is just me . Makes is more enticing, plus the drink had no spicy taste what so ever . After we orders the drinks that took another great 15 min just to get our food order, when ordered from the waiter I felt rushed by the waiter. We received our food it was actually presentable and good. But just the service in general was horrible waiters were causing in Spanish and were not very attentive especially to see how were doing or refill drinks etc... I do not like this location they just have the worst customer service.

Compared to other El Torito restaurants, this one just doesnt deliver. The food was bland, the waiter only came to check on us once (for refills), didnt bring some items we had requested. Then, when we ask for our check it was another 30 minutes before he came back (to clean some tables around us, but still no check). My wife and kids finally got up and left while I continued to wait for the check. I finally had to go find the waiter to ask for my check again. This wasnt during busy dinner hours either, this was lunch time with only a few other people in the restaurant. I love the El Toritos in Monterey Bay. I will never return to this one though.

Visited this El Torito twice while in town on a business trip. We were greeted immediately upon walking in the door and seated right away. The wait staff was extremely attentive and we even chatted about work and that I grew up in CA but was now living out of state (sadly, with no El Torito around). Food was excellent as I always remembered. Why nobody in Colorado that Ive found sells corn cake (also known as spoon bread to some) I will never understand. I could eat an entire plate of that stuff. Ive always loved El Torito and these two recent trips continue to establish them as my favorite chain Mexican restaurant of all time.

My bf and i waited 10 minutes before our waitress came around. It took another 5 mins to get a water and coke. I had also ordered a margarita. She never checked my ID (im 22) and it took 5more minutes after I had put the order in to even get it. The food was ok. I ordered chicken enchiladas and my bf ordered beef tacos. The rice is flavorless, his taco shells were hard and my enchiladas were corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas like im use to. Within the first few bites, i got sick to my stomach. I would NOT recommend this place. We shouldve gone to red lobster like we had planned.

my wife and I came to El Torito sunday 07/27/14 and were not happy with the service and or the food and found the price above normal for this type of menu. we were seated at a table with no knapkins and or silverware untill i asked the waiter for some. the food took to long for the amount of people in the restaruant and the people working the tables just seemed too busy with other things. we have been to other El Toritos and thier service and food was very good. I only hope that the Management reads these reviews and take them as contructive info THANK YOU Carlos

I went for my birthday. WHen they brought the chips they tasted very bad. I told the a busser if I can get different ones. He got mad and told me if the other batch was bad that they couldnt do anything about it and to just deal with it.The busser then Was rude yet again when a table fell and blamed my nephew .Instead of helping him he made really rude and disrespectful comments. Overall service was bad . I will consider going somewhere else instead.

I organized a party of over 65 people for a lunch here, and the staff was extremely efficient. The people in the party had not seen each other for years, so it was difficult to get people to stay in their seats. The staff did not seem bothered at all; they were cheerful and patient. Many ate at the buffet, but those who ordered from the menu got very fast service and the food was nice and hot. Excellent choice for a large group!!

They left out extras: Yesterday, 3 pm, I ordered two take out Mexican Ceasar salads, paid extra for extra cheese on the side. Nice day, but picnicing failed: no forks, no napkins, no extra cheese. Packed the salads in the car and got Subway sandwiches. And no, I didnt go back and tell them of my disappointment. The extra effort of doing that benefits me and not them; I was busy. (And I normally yelp positive more than negative)

Wasnt bad, dont care for their salsa they give you for the chips. A lot of the sides are the same and I dont care for refried beans. My friend received a dish he didnt order so he was unhappy and the waiter took a long time between visits to our table. My beef Tacos were delicious though and the rice and corn polenta was good.

Neglected to tell us their air conditioner was broken, it was like a sauna and the waiter said it had been out for over a week! Food took forever and the vegetables that came with the kids meal were literally rotten (brown, slimy and soggy celery). Used to be really good but seems to have gone waaay down hill

Rarely do I like mexican food but this place gave the definition of quality + quantity =El Torito. They literally had the best quesadillas I ever tastef. Serve hot and fresh, the cheese was oozingly good combined with the meat. This place is what Im craving for everytime I go to the grand central market!

The carnitas tacos were so fresh and delicious. The gal was cooking the tortillas right there. At only $1.99 tacos, Happy Hour prices were SO affordable! $5 blackberry margarita was sweet and refreshing. Super friendly staff made the Milpitas location a place I will return. Highly recommend.

Carne asada steak burrito had too much onions and beans... had very little steak. BUT the steak that was in there was soooooo good. Cooked amazingly.. it melted in my mouth. It was great! But since I only work not even 5 minutes away. Ill be back to see if I can raise the stars

went at 12 noon....there was such a huge line outside, I figured there would be a good deal on food. $25.00 per plate The food was just ok. The waitress was nice and attentativ, but the lady making the tacos was not and wouldnt respond to questions.
