Visited this small whole in the wall restaurant during a layover in Los Angeles. And all I can say is wow . The food is delicious the prices are great and the location is great . The spacing maybe small but rather than go to the restaurant across the street, Go here! If you have a big family maybe take takeout and walk to the beach and eat there but besides that I recommend anybody near this area to go take a bite of Mexican heaven.

Last monday I came in to try the carne asada wet burrito and I have to say it is the worst burrito I have ever had in my entire life and thats coming from a person that eats burritos very often. The carne asada was completely flavorless, the burrito had yellow cheese and huge pieces of tomato, and the sauce was barely ok. I have no idea how this place has 5 stars online, please by any means avoid this horrible place.

Ill admit I was ready to turn around and go somewhere else but dont judge a book by its cover! Its a bit gritty looking from the outside, but honestly thats part of El Tarascos "its all about the food" personality. Super friendly service and fast, and the junior burrito deluxe was seriously bigger around than my husbands arm! Ohhhhh my god so delicious too! The salsa alone is reason enough to go back again and again.

Dont let the appearance of this place fool you. Sure, it is a little shack that looks like a hole in the wall dive but the food....THE FOOD! From the wonderfully huge burritos to the cheese enchiladas....did I mention the CHEESE ENCHILADAS! All of their menu items are great but your life is not complete until you have their cheese enchiladas. The cheese, the cheese....so much cheese.

Favorite LA mexican joint. Delicious burritos and friendly guys that work there, I love going almost every time after I surf for some lunch. Awesome hole in the wall place close to the beach, and Ive started to credit it as the reason I surf at el porto more often than not, haha.

29 on the ZAGAT scale my A___! Standard SoCAl Taco stand hole in the wall in every way except the food was horrible. This is the only place in North MB for cheap mexican. This is the only reason this place is still in business because they have no close competition.

We love this place! We live in Washington, DC and were recommended to eat here! The food is excellent, the place is spotless, and the price is great! What more is there to like? We are coming again this morning on our way to LAX to return home!

Great inexpensive Mexican local spot. Very small. Good place to get take out. You can eat in at the small bar the looks into the kitchen (no booze). You used to be able to walk up to the roof to eat, no sure you can still do that.

A very clean, authentic, hole in the wall, Mexican restaurant. The food was excellent, the service and the ambiance as well, a place we will fondly recall whenever LA pops up in a conversation. Oscar, and his cook rock!

Great spot! My girlfriend and I stopped in for tacos, and what a great idea that was! Little tight but that adds to the atmosphere. Great service as well. I highly recommend this place.

amazingly good and dirt cheap prices! Really a home cooked meal at fast food time and prices! Do yourself a favor and search out these places - they have a bunch in the South Bay Area.

Killer tacos al pastor - easily the best pastor meat Ive ever had. Pairs well with their smooth guacamole. If youre a fan of authentic street tacos, you dont want to miss these.

Dirty Mex...If you want cheap food that will fill you up and leave you feeling like a cinder block lives in your stomach. Kids used to throw salsa off the roof at cars here.

Best tasting, most authentic Mexican food in LA. They have other locations, but this is the original, and taste better. Its a hole in the wall, but arent they always.

A hidden gem in every sense, simplicity is El Tarascos strong points. The rice and beans complement every meal. For the price there is no better buritto.

A legit, funky, tiny place. Unfortunately the enormous burrito was low on flavor, and parking is extremely challenging.
