Ordered: Oinkster Pastrami, Mandarin BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Piggy Fries and Chili Cheese Fries. So, I had the Mandarin BBQ Sandwich and oh my god. So FN good. Never been to this place before and picked just the right sandwich. Its their special of the month so after February, not happening. If you like sweet and tangy with your savory meals this is beyond perfect. Reminded me of Thai. Bread was soft, chicken was tender and juicy, Mandarin BBQ sauce was perfect. ONLY thing I would add is something crunchy other then the fried chicken, like their cabbage slaw. But still good without. Great sandwich. Fries were good. The piggy I liked over the chili cause their chili had a distinct taste that didnt go well after my sandwich but i could appreciate it alone for sure. Fellow foodie had the Oinkster Pastrami, when he has a Pastrami sandwich its usually at Johnnys Pastrami, said he definitely enjoyed it, it packed a lot of flavor but would prefer Johnnys cause its simpler. (He liked my sandwich better). If were ever back around here. Were coming back.

Our first visit, my hubby had the outstanding pastrami and I had a pretty good pulled pork sandwich and shared OK chili fries. A very busy place, yet service was good with great staff. Our second visit, again staff and service was great. My husband loved his pastrami sandwich last visit so this time he opted for the Reubin. I ordered the grilled chicken with avocado and bacon. Somewhat disappointed in our sandwiches. They were both supposed to be grilled and yet there was only the slightest indication either had barely kissed the griddle. So greasy soft bread was our reward. Also my bacon wasnt crisp. Limp and chewy. Very disappointed in our second visit. My recommendation is to stick with the very excellent house-made pastrami and pulled pork. Avoid any grilled sandwiches and bacon. I bet the hamburgers are good too but as we live 35 miles away, I doubt we will make the effort to return.

I guess I just wasnt impressed. Its cool that the place was on tripple D. Its in a nice location right off the main street. The parking lot is small but theres plenty of shaded parking on the residential street behind the restaurant. There was a line when we came in but it moved fast. I got the piggy fries which is basically In N Outs animal style fries with way too much onion and not enough cheese. I couldnt finish them because of taste, not size. The bacon and pastrami on my husbands royale burger was good. The burger was a messy one though. It dripped with every bite. I also tried a lemon bar that was lacking in lemon for my liking. It took a while to get our food too but we werent in a rush, so I didnt mind. They have an Horchata milkshake that i regret not trying.

I went to Oinkster after hearing only good things, but was very disappointed. First of all, it is quite expensive; sandwiches and burgers sell for 7-12 dollars, but that doesnt include fries ($4+), drinks (such as the $6 milkshakes), or even cheese to go on the sandwich ($1). Secondly, its quite slow for an establishment of its type. While I understand the appeal of "Slow Fast Food", the wait for my order was interminable, and when it came it it was dripping with so much grease that the bag it came in tore on the car ride home and dumped a puddle of grease onto my pants. Even after all that, I would have been satisfied by a good burger, but what I got was not significantly better than nearby options such as In-N-Out. Save your money and your time: go elsewhere.

The emperors new clothes? No one knows food in these parts? The "signature" pastrami was singularly not only the worst (stringy, one-note, , dully spiced) pastrami Ive ever had but along with the "wrap" that turned out to be what tasted like stale, flat bread the serves the description of possibly the worst sandwich and meal, too. The staff attitude did not help; it was all I could do to get a box big enough to put the meal in, (which I threw out anyway in the end), and a bag. When I asked after the owner, they said they see him once every three months, if at that. I was there twice: first and last. Contemporary decor? No frill with hard wooden seats and plastic bench backs.

We recently saw Guy Fierri on DDD & when we saw the pulled pork sandwich/pastrami/chili fries we had to drive out to try them. The place is clean & the staff is friendly, but the food DID NOT live up to all the hipe. We were anticipating tons of flavor but all we tasted was nothing. The meat was tender, but we would have liked to have the experience of "awww that is flavorful" routine. The experience was nothing near to what Guys acting ability portrayed. I will not be returning to Oinkster & I will not be taking Guys word on anything. Heres Lilys advice...go to Arrys in Montebello off Whittier Blvd. for a juicy flavorful pastrami & mountain full of chili fries.

I ordered their pastrami burger. I went to their restroom as I waited for my food. Plain nasty restroom. Unwiped sink and toilet bowls. Smelled like urine. Food was ready when I came back. wow. Totally overrated burger. Very greasy compared to an in n out burger. Pastrami was okay. I have had better at other places. Too much of a sour taste. Their garlic sauce was good. Very dissappointed by this place. Heard so much but not very tasty and overpriced. The asian or filipino kid handing out the orders had a grumpy face and attitude. next time I want a burger I will just go to in n out. Better service, tastier food and cleaner restrooms.

Ive had this bookmarked for days when I heard about their ube shake. I thought it would be more Filipino/Burger Joint fusion, but the only Filipino thing about it is that its owned by Filipinos and.... Yes, the ube shake. The sandwiches are amazing. You cant go wrong with the pastrami sandwich and the classic. They also serve a burger of the month... this month it was a burger in rye bread with ghost chili peppers and American cheese. Omg...... drooling just thinking about it. The fries have a weird texture, SO GOOD! You have to order these too. The place is casual, beer on tap, and TVs for the games. I hear Laker games can get crazy at the Oinkster.

I have yet to eat a sandwich from the standard menu that has met my expectations. The pastrami was fine, but not outstanding, the classic burger was the same. And today the pulled pork sandwich was underwhelming. The burger of the month is another story altogether and has surpassed my expectations on both occasions. I was bummed no burger of the month was on the menu when I stopped there to dine today. Also the shake of the month has always been a delight. Increasing my initial 2 star score to 3 stars. Side note, my wife ordered the beet salad. The mixture of beets, cheese and walnuts made for a fantastic combo when taken in the same bite.

Food is phenomenal. They even make their own Catsup. Parking and logistics sucks. You stand in line until you order, then you have to go find a seat. That is unknown until the time happens, and you hope and pray you dont have to stand there while your food gets cold. The parking is unbelievable. Two tiny little lots are jammed, and there is very little parking on the street. However, the five rating is because the food is so good that it overcomes all the above. I would recommend going at an off-hour. Unless you are the type of person that likes Disneyland on 4th of July or Labor Day.
