Great pizza, good bottle selection if all your into is ipas and sours. The lagers selection is a joke. Memo is a good counterman too. Here is why this place gets only one star. The tap beers are overpriced for the neighborhood, Lincoln Heights has not flipped yet, thankfully there are few greasy bearded, chain walleted, man onesey, ponytailed sporting hipster idiots floating around the area. Yet the $6.50 to $12 tap beer pricing reflects a clientel more likley found in silverlake or echo park. Its just a bit high for the digs, which consists of a patio, couple benches and a few tables/chairs. What really irritates is the $1.50 per can/bottle corkage fee for beers bought right damn there. The owners operate like carpetbaggers and not neighbors. If you want me to buy your tap beer then a. lower your prices, b. widen the variety to include lagers, c. stop with the ridiculous corkage fee. I bought a Beerito mexican lager in a can, it was 2 bucks and change, (a fair price) to drink it there with my in house sandwhich with added corkage fee made it a bad deal. Im a brewer, I support neighbors and their businesses but The Heights never feels like my neighbor. Also,

This review will probably not keep people from going, but the heights will never get my business. I was going to pick up some beer. My brother recommended the heights the other day and actually was surprised I have never been because it is so close to my home. So I thought I would check it out. Considering it was the day after Christmas, I called to make sure it was open. Employee said " kitchen is closed, but were open until 9:30 if youre picking up beer". I arrived at 9:18 about 5 minutes after I called, and lights were on, but gates on door were closed. I went to the door, and employee motioned to me that they were closed, and I made a signal to let him know that I called. He raised he hands which I interpreted as oh well. It looks like they have a good selection of beer, and they food may be good, but there are plenty of places to buy craft beer, pizza and sandwiches in LA.

Husband bought me a gift certificate for Christmas. Put it away for a special occasion. Went today as a first time customer at Tip top nails. Told them I had a gift certificate and told them. They saw it and said, "Not now, later when you pay." spent $49.00 in services and wanted to use the certificate. When it came time to pay they said they could not accept it because it had expired last month. My husbands money didnt expire when he paid for it. So they made out with $20.00 and would not honor the certificate. 1st and last time I go there. Too bad, Donna was very nice.

The chicken pesto..... AMAZING. Just the right amount of sauce, pasta, flavor and chicken. A lot of the times when u order pasta from a restaurant the meat is scant, but this dish was very filling and so freaking tasty only 9.95 AND came with a garlic knot!! Im hopeful about the other dishes on the menu and trying what seems to be an awefully large selection of beers and spirits. This restaurant will be seeing alot more of me. The lincoln heights area doesnt have enough places like this. A hidden gem!

I stopped by here last night to pick up some dinner (Chicken Parm with Spaghetti). Food was pretty good and they include a garlic knot which was really good and big! The beer selection is huge and the shop is nice and clean. I didnt pick up any brews last night but definitely want to come back here to try some new craft beers and other items on the food menu. Parking in the back is a plus.

Rica comida. Nosotros no tomamos licor ni cerveza. Pero si sodas y comida. Buen servicio. Y lo mejor para nosotros es que podemos entrar con mi perrita.

From the founders of XLIXE, they have brought their superbly curated (and large) beer selection to The Heights. Top place to find obscure beers, great pizza and sandwiches. Service with a smile from Memo, Vanessa and the rest, and looking forward to the new back patio and beer taps going in!

A lot of craft beer selection, good sandwiches and pizza! The chicken Alfredo is delicious too. I really wish they sold growlers though, they have different beers on tap. They replace beer as they run out off it, so if you find a good beer on tap get the most of it!

Just tried this place and the sandwiches and chicken wings were great. I like their play on local street names for their sandwiches. Definitely will continue to go. Love finding great local options!

Lots of beers packed into this little deli. Great sandwiches and pizza, made quickly. The counter seating outside overlooking Broadway makes for good people watching. Appreciate the good music too!

Love this spot. Pizza is great and the sandwiches are the ****. Try it, you will love it. They just opened an outdoor sitting area on the side so you can relax while drinking a cold one.

Love the bottle selection of craft beers and you can get a great bottle of wine. No competition in the neighborhood. The meatball sausage sandwich is the bomb!

Pretty awesome selection of beer and sandwiches. I ended up blowing 23$ on a big sandwich and an even bigger beer. People were chill and there was no line.

Great sandwiches and booze options. They are large, fresh cold cuts. Staff is friendly. We always order to go. Not many places to sit down and eat.

Excellent bottle shop with excellent food. Get the garlic knots, but beware - theyre very strong and may make you stink the next day.
