The Greyhound is another in a long list of overly expensive bars that now populate York and Figueroa. This one does seem to have a fairly decent food menu and beer selection, as well as a few wines and cocktails, compared to most. I also like the approach theyve taken to the sports playing over the bar (allowing patrons to tune in via an app) which allows me to keep an eye on the game without it being disruptive. Its a fairly nice place to meet (if a little bland). Unfortunately this is all marred by a few factors. When I walked into the Greyhound I was assailed with an incredible chemical odor. I was totally baffled as to what this could be, presuming that they had just mopped the floors, or aggressively cleaned the bathroom. However, the smell continued to persist even after a reasonable amount of time. Luckily, the person I was meeting there showed up and immediately remarked "Wow, smells like they share a vent with the nail salon next door". So yeah, the Greyhound smells like a nail salon. This means that all of the $7-$17 per item food and drink you order is going to be tinged with the smell of nail polish. The food descriptions were enticing, and we did buy an (overcarbonated) beer each, but any hunger I had was quickly put off by the disgusting smell. This begs the question: why build a "gastropub" next to such a pungent neighbor? It doesnt really matter how seriously you take the bar food you serve if my money is basically partially wasted going in. So, maybe the food is good. But I didnt stick around to find out, and I dont see myself returning, either.

I used to like this place but would not refer to it as a sports bar....and would definitely not recommend it to others. Was just there for the NFL draft. Several people and myself (who frequent this bar during the NFL season quite often) asked the owner to turn the sound on for at least the top 10 picks....instead he just keeps the piped in music on. He would not accommodate us; even after several people requested this "favor" as he sits in a booth eating his diner. There are only so many important NFL days in a year and the draft is one of them (if even would only be the top 10 picks). So I just left - why would I want to contribute to the income of an owner who does not care what the people in his bar are asking for.Oh well - there are so many sports bars in LA - unfortunately this bar isnt one of them...and I would urge you to visit others.

Good drinks, good food, good service. I live near here and I have had two different experiences. Ive been here in relaxed attire (jeans, sneakers, long sleeve collared shirt). I was treated very well and the manager even bought me a couple of shots. I showed up on a different occasion when riding my Harley. I was wearing jeans, boots, Pendleton and sunglasses. It took me 10 minutes to get acknowledged and there were only 2 other customers. I appreciated the AC on a hot Saturday but the service was slow and rude. I even seen the same manager from my previous visit and he ignored me. Also, the manager had mentioned that they were not allowed to serve any Mexican beer because they did not want that type of clientel. What does that mean? If they treated everyone the same, this place would be 5 Stars!

I was admittedly unsure about this restaurant since so many items are foreign to me but I finally settled with the steak nuggets. Very tasty, but they only make them medium well but they are very tender. My hubby got the Loaded fries with chili and boy was it loaded! They have very unusual drinks, great for people who like to try new things; bad for those of us who are creatures of habit;(. BUT in their defense they made me an "off the menu" drink kinda like a Mai tai .......and it was tasty! Kudos & 5 stars to you Greyhound for accommodating my "creature of habit" needs!!!!!! Also the music is bumpin!!!!! Great hang out place! Ill be back with friends!

We have been in several times but I dont get that welcoming vibe when we are there. Rumored to be owned by the force behind Fathers Office, the burger is good but not as good. I think the menu is okay overall but certainly not great for the price. This is Highland Park not Culver City. There has been a turn-over off staff, customer service improved but it still lacked that ? The burger/beer deal is great for $8 on Dodger game nights but you have to like Schlitz?? Its time to change it up in there...even if they just arrived to York Blvd.

Great beer selection, and Ive heard the cocktails are pretty tasty, too. The food is also quite good. Despite being an enthusiastic carnivore, Id recommend both the chicken wings and the fried cauliflower "wings". They have tons of delicious sauces to choose from, and the cauliflower is coated in delicious crispy fried batter, and is never soggy. It can get pretty loud in here, though, and when they do trivia (Thursday evenings), the volume of the announcer is ear-piercingly loud. Id pass on going there for that.

Home of the LA Spurs (Tottenham Hotspur supporters club). Great burger, and $4 drink specials on match day make this a no brainer for watching footy at any hour of the day or night. Friendly staff. Lively crowd. I imagine its a lovely place at other times, but even for casual fans of the game, I wouldnt miss the experience of catching a match with LA Spurs here anytime Tottenham are suiting up. Rowdy and welcoming bunch, that lot.

I didnt like this location. The place is in Highland Park. Ugly area that wannabe hipsters are flocking to for now. The area is still very ghetto and nothing is upscale. Simply Ugly. The service that I experienced was from a female bar tender that rude and in a bad mood. Her attitude was undeniable. The wall decorations are very random and stupid. I dont recommend this location to anyone.

The Serve and the atmosphere was superb. All the feel of a Sports Bar with out the machoism. Ive worked in all kinds of bars from Ultra-conservative to Biker Bars. Greyhound Bar n Grill is a local Bristro with great food and atmosphere. A prefect place for friends, family, and everyone n between. Greyhound Bar and Grill where every moment is Thrill The Kasmir Experience *K3X

This place is not very "LA" at all. Its awesome. I wish it was closer to my house. Not pretentious, good food and casual. If youre going for food, check the specials which often feature new and fun items. There is a huge beer selection and though they dont have a "mixologists" chip on their shoulder, these bartenders can make you a good cocktail if that is your fancy.

Solid sports bar. I had their wings, and through the wings themselves were the right amount of crispy and juicy, the flavoring(sauce) was mild in flavor. I ordered the honey sriracha, and I couldnt taste a hint of sriracha. Not bad, just not special. The fries were good. The burger my friend had was solid. Good drink specials. Pub like atmosphere.

Being a freak about all things London, I had to stop in this adorable pub on the way home one night. Its very small but that adds to the ambiance. The pubs in London are fairly small and are there for beer and beer only! If they happen to have food, its usually marginal. This was a great place to grab a brew and enjoy an hour after work!
